Overpriced and Overhyped. went to Giani tea stall for the first time, I noticed that there was no rate list. Ordered a plate of paneer pakodas, a cup of tea and a samosa. The tea was good, the samosas were great, but the paneer pakoras were tasteless, just paneer and gram flour marinate, no masala. A plate of paneer pakora costs Rs 170 (Dec 2022), tea – 50 and samosa with bread (Rs 40). It is a high priced shop and no rate list shows that they are ripping off the customers. I do not recommend anyone to visit this place.

The tea stall visited by stars from all walks of life like cinema , politics and sports. Famous for their tea, the quality was great with the right amount of ginger. They charge ₹30 for a cup ( as of October 2022) Cleanliness can be better but the tea is worth all the hype

Whenever I visit Amritsar I make sure I go to this place for a quick bite. Their Samosa is one the best I’ve ever had in Amritsar. Pair it up with a their special chai or pair your chai with their super fresh bun with maska and you’re good to go. Must visit when you’re in Amritsar.

This place serves tea and some limited snacks. We had a tea and kachori in the shop. The taste was amazing, we have never had such kachori anywhere else in India. The kachori was unique in terms of preparation and filing, which differentiates it from other cooking styles across India. The hygiene is alright, could be improved. However, would highly recommend the place, just for the kachoris. This place has become too popular? 50 Rs for tea is outrageous when every other place tea is 10/15 Rs. We reached at 9am by then they already ran out of kachoris. Lot of other folks were ordering bread omelet which we did not. Tea price ruined it for me.

It is being mentioned to be the oldest tea places and many people including celebrities have visited here. Well if you are a tea lover with more of milk and less of water, this is the best place as the tea will taste amazing. It is a must to go place if visiting and exploring Amritsar.

There are places in Amritsar where the hype is too much , this is another one. Well we ordered 2 badam pista tea and 2 normal tea , I paid 200 bucks for cutting tea .. the taste is pretty normal , not sure why folks are going gaga over this… but anyways no harm in trying .Also this it at the corner of flyover , there’s no parking .

I am tea ☕️ lover and being in Amritsar this is a must to visit place and have a cutting chai with bun Maska. This was immediately after the 4am visit to Golden Temple. It did refresh my morning. Tea was perfect 😍. No parking available and staff is quite friendly

The famous place of Amritsar known for Chai (Tea) and snacks served with Imly Chatni which includes Kachori, Samosa, Omelette etc. This place is located near by Amritsar Railway Station and a must try for tea lovers, they have seating space at their shop. I had Bread Omelette (40₹), Masala Chai (30₹) and Giani's Special Tea (50₹) topped with milk froth & Badam Elaichi at this place. Omelette was well cooked & tasted great with the Chatni. Masala tea was amazing but Special tea was ok just famous for that extra topping which is for presentation only not add any extra taste to the tea. So, i suggest to go for simple Masala Chai at this place. Special Mention - It's a Cash Only Place, they are not accepting any kind of digital payments.

It was good but experience there overall , but they accept cash only. I mean nowadays some people dont carry cash and they dont even has paytm ,,,, seriously dude ,,,, i asked random people for the cash. They shoud have a atleast one merchant account to accept upi payments.

Too pricey as it is only a street food kind of place ... They were famous for their kachori and chutney ..chutney now theyserve seems not fresh and 30 rs for chai on street is too high as it is not that good now ..it's just a hype ..ok ok experience

Bread- omelette and kulchas. Yummy breakfast with steaming tea. Very busy place and the food justifies just why it's so busy despite the limited menu options.

A small but good Tea stall. We ate breakfast here. Had their proprietary style Kachori, bread Toast and Special Masala Chai. All were good. Especially their unique Kachori and tea. Small place, not very clean though. But they serve really quick. For two it would cost about 300/- for breakfast and Tea. They provide service outside on footpath also. If you are in Amritsar and out for a morning walk, you must end it up here by savouring tea and crispy kachori.

It's an average tea shop with the big name only. I thinks this Shop is famous because of hype only and not for the quality. I just travelled 20 minutes to taste Giani tea and believe me I am totally disappointed with the taste of tea. You will get better tea in any small tea shop in Amritsar. So if you are near by then only you can try it other wise no need to travel for Giani tea only. Not worth Visit.

"Unchi dukaan feeka pakwaan" is what I came to realise when I visited this FAMOUS tea stall. Tea was below average. Paneer pakodi was good but overpriced. Not worth visiting. Since it is famous we thought to try it but utterly disappointed.

Excellent place if you are looking for a good Tea and snacks options. Service is quick and friendly. Tea is made fresh as per the order and the snacks are not heavily spiced. Must try bread omelette, crispy samosas with a cup of piping tea. Suggest to have the food while sitting in your car. The place opens at 0430 in the morning.

Awesome tea, one of the best chaiwalas in Amritsar. A very famous place where there are huge queues for hours to get their tea and kachori. One of the finest dal kachoris to have here. Must place if you want to have hot tea and kachori

But it was not tastier at allWe returned it though we paid but waiter brough us another cup as a gesture but again it had more of cardamom taste. Bread butter was ok. Kachori was ok. Wife visited first time especially to taste but she was like shudnt have come.

One of the best chai stalls in Amritsar! Wonderfully spicy tea - a wonderful experience watching the chai wallah carefully prepare, mix the spices and taste the tea. Their masala omelette and chai is a perfect way to start the day!

I really liked this place. The tea was fantastic. It had a different taste. Also the snacks served with tea was good. There was no wait for the tea and they keep preparing tea all the time. Seating arrangement was also good. One must visit this place whenever they come to Amritsar.

Very good tea and Kachori. Their kachori is totally different in taste unlike regular kachoris, it’s soft, crunchy and fully loaded with masalas. Very tasty.

Over-rated and overhyped, perhaps due to all the celebrity pictures posted on the wall, none of whom can be seen actually eating here. Why would anyone? Sprinkling some badam and pista on an otherwise ordinary cup of dhaba-style chai doesn't make it "special" in any way. Gimmicky at best. The kachori was underwhelming. I wouldn't go out of my way for this. How can so many vloggers and bloggers be gushing about this place defies logic. Unless I'm at the wrong Giani Tea Stall.

Highly popular but quite a dirty place. Tea and omelette was good but the kachori was outstanding. Flaky n yummy.

This is one of the best place and a must try place for all food lovers for breakfast in amritsar. There is always crowd so you might have to wait but it is worth. The best ones to try is the kachori and tea. Soft and delicious kachoris and tea with dry fruits masala. Other things to try are bread omelette, omlette, toasts.

As always, the tastiest tea is served here. Was lucky to go early morning, hence, got sufficient space to park my SUV and have special tea with my family. They serve you tea in your car / on sitting tables on road side / inside shop... as you like.

  • 5/5 rajani s. 2 years ago on Google
Must visit place for all the Tea lovers. Go for their regular masala tea, it's damn good. Another varient kesar-dry fruit tea is worthless, YouTubers just create hype about this. Don't get fooled by them.
