Sunrise guest house is a must place to stay for anyone looking for a budget friendly, Clean rooms with a few room having valley views Commendable Good service located nearby Matheran station. Some in depth details about this guest house. 1) - the proximity location, it's very near to matheran railway station and main market road, just a lane down a walk for 2mins and your there at this guest house. 2)- the rooms, all the rooms are clean and spacious. They have total 5 rooms. 2 rooms on ground flr. And 3 rooms on the 1st floor. The rooms size are good enough for easily accomodating 4 persons as per their policy. And is spacious to keep your luggages. Out of 3 rooms at 1st floor. One is a duplex room with a great valley view best for sunrise with two double beds and can accommodate 6-7 people easily. The other two are also big rooms and have huge King size beds that even the most reputed 2 or 3 star hotels don't have. Such is the size and comfort of their Bed. And on the ground floor the rooms have Queen size beds. The washrooms were clean and tidy with no bad smell nothing. Hot water is provided from morning 7-9 or 10am but the same can be extended as per request. Other basic things provided like a couple of Clean towels, bedsheets, some extra pillows. Bathing Soap and shampoo sachets. 3) Service. This is where this guest house stands out. This guest is Managed and taken care by Mr. Zubair Nachan who has been working here for 15 years and is a gem of a person. One call or a bell from your room and he is right at the door for your service. I came with my wife and my two kids the younger one was only 10 month old. So needed milk and some baby food we had that need to be cooked. And Zubair bhai thank you for your kind gestures. You provided us the Same. Once you check in the room he himself initiates and share you the Wifi password without even asking for it. Please note- that this guest doesn't have their own restaurant but still they can arrange food separately from market if you request them with additional charges for the same. 4) Now the Tarriff - on weekdays non season periods you will get the rooms at the lowest price. On weekends the public holidays the price increases as usual in all the hotels in matheran. Prices varies from season to season but still is best than other hotels. Highly recommend this guest house for family friends and couples. Had a great experience.

The Person responsible for taking queries is very unprofessional and has no manners how to talk to their clients.... I just made a query if he can be somewhat flexible with the check-in check-out time the reply was "shall I send the guest of other day to their home?? Also he talked very badly and cut the call... Whoever is the owner kindly put a right person on that place or else it is gonna impact the good will of your business..

Very good place to stay for family and friends.The owner of this place - Mr. Zubair is very good and polite person and is always available to help the guests. He made sure our vacation was good. The place is just 1min from toy train station and in the middle of market. It has an easy access to all the tourist points. Also the place is very neat and tidy. Also, the place has a very good valley View. Thank you Mr. Zubair for such good experience at sunrise guesthouse.

First of all, I want to say that Zubair Bhai is a kind person, Very humble and helpful nature. Once you stayed in his cottage you will remember him forever. The room is very clean. This cottage is situated middle of the market.

I have visited the place thrice and was really satisfied by the service offered by Zuber. The rooms are clean and well maintained and size is sufficient. He also prepared delicious breakfast and tasty tea. I love the taste of tea. Zuber is very cooperative and helpful. He also provides valid and helpful information to the visitors.

Sunrise Guest House is an amazing place to stay in Matheran. I booked it after seeing the positive google reviews and indeed it lived upto the reputation. Sharing the details from my experience: 1. Location: It is located at a distance of 2 mins from Matheran Railway Station which is the market area. Take the first left turn into the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Nagar and you will reach the guest house. The surroundings are amazing and the path is well laid. It is located at the prime Matheran market area where you should prefer to stay when in Matheran. Our rooms were on the first floor but you may request them to provide a room on the ground floor if you have senior citizen. There is also a special duplex room in this hotel which is an attraction. Suyog Bhojanalay, Ketkar Restaurant, Suyogya Bhojanalay, Shelar Uphar Gruha are some of the nearby restaurants which should be tried. 2. Amenities: We booked an AC Deluxe Room and the amenities were top notch. The main USP of this hotel is the power backup and it works amazingly well whenever there is power outage and it takes just 2 mins to start the backup. The AC worked amazingly well but AC is not at all reuqired when in Matheran. The large sized bed had soft comfortable mattress with very well furnished rooms which also had a 3 seater sofa. There is a cupboard to keep your clothes and a dining table with two chairs. There is a wonderful dressing table with a large sized mirror and the TV has working DTH connection. Hot Water is available from 7 am to 9 am which is the case with any hotel in Matheran but they are kind enough to provide hot water at any other time on request. You are provided with Towels, Soaps, Shampoos and Toothpaste. Ample hooks are available behind the door to hang your clothes. The cleanliness of the rooms and washrooms is just top notch and you won't find a single point to complaint. High Speed WIFI is available in the room and works very well. You are provided with a flask of filtered drinking water complimentary and you may get it refilled whenever required. 3. Costing: It is very economically priced and absolute value for money you pay. The charges would be high in the weekend as it is for any hotel in Matheran as it is the peak time. Better to call them and book to get a good deal. 4. Zuber Bhai: Zuber Bhai deserves a special mention just like it has been in all of the reviews below. He is a gem of a person and is always enquiring you if you need anything. Zuber Bhai himself came to the room with the register to note our details, himself shared the WIFI Password, enquired if the drinking water was enough and if it required refilling. I've stayed at expensive hotels too but the service provided by Zuber Bhai makes Sunrise Hotel different from the others. Sunrise Guest House is going to be my go to place when I'm in Matheran the next time and thank you Zuber Bhai for making our stay memorable. Keep up the good work. Vivek

Best Guest House ever!!!!! We have visited here from 26-27 Nov.,2022 Very warmly welcomed by owner. The room is best with all facilities (Delux Non-AC) -Bed perfect and comfortable... best for 2Adults and 2 child's -TV and WI-FI facicilities -Hot water in the morning (hot shower too which was the best thing) -Washroom very clean and neat. -there is no any dirty smell in the room. The best part of the owner is- Mr. Zuber is very calm, polite and friendly... Guide us about every points of matheran to visit by maps... Suggested us the best route to walk towards points how to coverup every points, without asking he has given us Wifi password, also suggested us some best Hotels walkable and affordable. Just one bell and the owner at your service... If you book the room directly contact the Owner... so you may save at least 500-600 easily. (vendor's suggestion.) Matheran Raily Way Station is just to 1min walkable from the room. Even you may enjoy the Sunrise scenario as per sunrise timing from beside the room. Or from top rooms. The market is available just 1min walkable from the room which is the best thing... Damn sure you'll enjoy at the same.

Visited this place in mid November 2022, selected this place because of Google maps positive reviews. There is so much admiration about Mr. Zuber in the reviews, that is unusual about any hotel/ cottage, even I developed a doubt that reviews might be fabricated. But believe me, everything about hospitality offered here is 100% true. You will feel like a home away home. Pros : 1. Market and Toy Train Station just a few steps away. 2. Budget friendly, value for the every penny you'd pay. 3. Excellent hospitality just a bell away. 4. Excellent cleanliness. They clean the rooms and change the sheets everyday. Con : Bathroom is small but manageable.

It was nice staying at Sunrise Guest House. Mr Zuber Bhai very calm and concern about all the guests. He helped and guided us in for the different points to visit. He further suggested good hotel (Hotel Mezbaani- Lunch and Dinner) and (Ketkar for authentic breakfast). My family members still remembered the hospitality provided by Mr. Zuber Bhai. Hi there, We visited matheran in the mid of march mth and booked 2 rooms at this amazing guest house. We stayed here for 3D and 2N and trust me the rooms were very hygienic and the location was also quite relaxing even tough it’s next to matheran station and at the beginning of main market only. Location is good as we can access main market, toy train and all the points are quite around only. The owner was very helpful and his nature was very nice that’s what we like it as it felt comfortable

Amazing guest house at a very reasonable price close to matheran Station. Mr Zubair is always very helpful and a kind person and treats us like his family. The rooms are spacious and clean also a veranda for the children to play. The food is also very tasty. I recommend this place to one and all.

Located very closed to the Train station. I stayed here on weekends. Room was very neat & clean in terms of hygiene. Toilets are well maintained. The manager of this guest house Mr. Zubair is a very good, polite & helpful person. Stay here is 100% worth & recommended.
