A very lively place with the nicest staff. We visited for breakfast. They have beautiful interiors and two sections to sit in. An array of options to choose from. Waffles, crepe’s, eggs, sandwiches and healthy rahi dosas too. Loved the iced latte. Also, if you’re planning to get a take away beverage, you’ll get a 20% discount if you bring your own cup/container. You should definitely visit for breakfast/brunch.

Vegetarian options are limited. The portion size is abysmally and absurdly small for the price charged — “average of Rs 1000-1200 per person for a two course meal plus a drink”. My appetite collapsed after seeing 7-8 spoons of spaghetti on my plate which cost me a cool Rs 550. The taste was very ordinary (I make much better fresh pesto pasta at home— sorry chef, and you really should be ashamed for serving such a small portion size— hello this is not Europe and you do not have Michelin stars on your apron). Further the seating is super congested and uncomfortable. If you are a sensible, travelled, and knowledgeable foodie, you will be wise to give this place a miss and check out much better and value for money options available in south Bombay.

The food is extremely delicious. I ordered Tomato & Aubergine spaghetti which was freshly cooked. My favourite was Lemon Ice Coffee on the whole. The place is mostly full so one has to wait to get the table which the staff will make sure for you. They are super nice and services are up to the mark. I would highly recommend trying out Kala Ghoda Cafe.❤️🌸

Food was good, but for the hype it has, this is seriously overrated. It's just like another cafe. Nothing fancy in here. Went in for evening snacking, the place was cramped up and congested. The cake was really good though.

This cafe has a cozy ambiance and an impressive range of food and drinks. We loved the upma and scrambled eggs. We highly recommend it, especially for a great breakfast spot.

This was a nice but tiny place with barely a few tables. Nevertheless, it was a well decorated space to have some grub. The chicken broth soup was just quite watery with some vegetables in it. It wasn't that interesting. The pizza and sandwiches were good. The feta salad was also good though i would prefer lettuce than those leaves they serve with it. The slow cooked lamb was cooked well but tasted boiled with no spice or sauce. The service was lovely and the toilets were clean. Perhaps some improvements in the food area would make it a busy place.

If you are walking around the bylanes of Kala Ghoda area, you must stop by at this cafe for a cup of coffee or wine and even try out a few of their dishes. The place has an old world vibe with friendly staff.

Has been a favourite for years, went there on a Sunday morning for some breakfast after the pandemic. It is a great place to catch up with your friends or just go alone and enjoy a good meal by yourself. We had the blt, waffles and hot chocolate. I wiah the hot chocolate was slightly more creamier although it was good nonetheless. I don't quite remember correctly so let me know if you know about the biscuit and the chocolate they used to serve alongside cappuccino.Do they still serve both? I just wanted to have it and thought we'd get it along with our hot chocolate, we could not order it separately as they didn't have it. Do have their moccachino

Loved the place as soon I saw it. The look from the outside gives you a rustic Bombay feel. Comfortable seating. Courteous staff. The sandwiches here are yummy and so is the almond cake. One thing I found the best here was the Vegan Curry. The look and taste of it is mind blowing, making it a must have. A must visit place.

Loved the food to bits.. The flavours in each of the dishes are so distinct.. Inspite of being a Meat Lover.. I simply loved the The Mushroom Black Risotto... The French Onion Chicken was pulled straight from one of the restaurants in Montmartre Flamed Grilled chicken with Pepper sauce was grilled to perfection.. The margherita Pizza was customize to our linking by the chef was simply yum.. The caramalized onions and mushrooms were BTS..

Had the akuri which is a must try along with the grilled chicken sandwich that was pure heaven. Definitely coming back for more. The akuri comes with bread butter and hashbrown.

We visited this place for breakfast on Christmas Morning. It was pack completely. It's a small and sweet place with courteous and polite staff. They don't levy service tax as well. We ordered Mochachinno coffee which was great, Chicken salad sandwich, Veg cheese burger. Everything was good.

Loveeee the food, the cosy little cafe, the staff is very friendly, everything about this cafe cum restaurant is fab! The menu is health oriented yet there is no compromise on the taste and that is the best part. Food is served very fast and the prices are reasonable. Will visit again and again!

I really like the place as it's simple kind a vintage look. The vibe of the cafe is great divided into 3 parts. 1st part is small area exactly on the road side next area is just ahead of it and they have set one small area for the alcohol zone. I like the management but if you like to have a drink as I saw one or two drink wine in cafe area so I guess they take orders in cafeteria too. I was waiting for someone so I couldn't take more i just ordered one Americano coffee. As compare big joints of cafe i really find this cafe way more reasonable. Wheelchair accessible entrance ✅ Parking ❌ Valet parking ❌ Washroom ✅ Wheelchair accessible washroom ❌

Rustic Cafe with good ambience. There are a total of 3 seating areas with the innermost one being air conditioned. The food is great. Taste - 5/5 Quantity - 4/5 (Enough to make you feel content) The menu is long which keeps repetitiveness at bay. The bar menu is also good with a good selection of imported liquor. People who like English Pub vibes will fall for this place immediately.

The cafe has such a nice ambience. The cappuccino is amazing. They also provide a small piece of dark chocolate which is a cherry on top with the coffee. The Sali Per Eeda was delicious and filling. This is a must visit cafe where you can grab a nice cup of coffee, breakfast and sit for hours.

The BLT sandwich that we ordered, the Bacon was chewy. Even after complaining to the manager it wasn't taken off the bill which I found was rude. Mushroom soup was nice, Veg burger was average. The Almond cake was amazing.

Was hungry and passing by, so decided to drop by. The thing I love about the cafe is it’s effortless old charm decor and vibe. One can start a conversation and get lost in it. Ordered for a iced lemon drink and Tartine (anchovy brushed toast with bocconcini & dried tomatoes) - the best part is the Maple Syrup which accompanies with the dish and adds to the flavour. Overall a good cafe and can be revisited.

Incredible old Bombay style cafe that has an abundance of gluten free and vegan options. We went for dinner twice because of this. The chocolate almond cake for pudding is very tasty so definitely recommend. They also have lots of wine and a little wine bar at the back (the wine is a bit more on the expensive side for India).

Lovely, quaint little place. Easy to find even though it has no street frontage… great food with good options for vegetarians as well and a decent selection of wines too. Enjoyed my evening there. Staff is helpful and polite. Service is a bit slow, but I did enjoy the extra time I got for conversation!

Excellent place to unwind and relax listening to good music played on a fantastic sound system, thanks to the owner being an audiophile. Their coffee and carrot cake are always a pleasure to savor. Do visit their exclusive wine section on weekends to enjoy the ambience with a dj on hand to set the mood for an amazing time.

My top pic for western breakfast in Mumbai. Good was simple and delicious, coffee good and well priced in a city that loves to over charge for it normally. Service was super fast, and the waitstaff were so kind with kids.

Easily the best breakfast I had while I was in Mumbai for 7 days. I’m an American tourist here that has been looking for an authentic Indian cuisine experience and you can’t go wrong here. The restaurant manager was kind and welcoming and the food was out of this world. I decided to try one of their most well known dishes, the Parsi Akuri and it didn’t disappoint. It is a must have. I also had their Desi Waffles and the Masala Coffee. Both wonderful, but and the Desi Waffle is a great alternative if you have a gluten sensitivity. I will be back to try their lunch tomorrow.

We dropped by for a quick coffee and dessert date, and had a great time. The almond cake, cortado, and chamomile tea were some of the best in the city. Will be back to try other things soon.

Located in one of the small allies of Mumbai the kala ghoda area is a cute eatery very famous for breakfast..they are known for their eggs and coffees. The crowd is usually people who came for breakfast meeti f and expats. We ordered eggs, ragi dosa and Madras chai. Ragi dosa was average but the eggs were very tasty. Best was Madras tea which was a combo of coffee and tea. I was totally charged up after drinking that. It's a very busy place so it's advisable to reach early in the morning to get a seat.

Expensive for the quantity that they charge. The location of the cafe is attractive and has a cute vibe. However we didn't like the food over here all that much

This place is beautiful with old world charm. Tugged inside the scenic streets of Fort which teleports you to colonial era of Bombay. Talking about the food, everything over seems to be on a healthier side but to your surprise "Healthy is Tasty". So order whatever you feel like because everything on the menu is utterly delicious.

Entered and the fragrance took away half of my aches. Loved the place, loved their speed. Excellent food, excellent coffee!! The cold coffee glass size was huge with Sarda farms milk used. (The milk company they have written on the menu!). The baby potato dish and chilly cheese toast we ended up ordering twice. Finished the meal with caramel espresso custard, mouth watering again.

I enjoyed the lavender tea, ice cream cold coffee, and chocolate cake. It felt just a bit crowded when the tables were all occupied. We hadn't finished eating, but they asked us to hurry along as they said they had other guests waiting to enter.

  • 5/5 Teesha G. 3 years ago on Google
The lane leading to the cafe gives you those old era french colonial vibes. Once you enter the place, there is a whole process of writing names, number, temperature check & mask should be on (impressive). They are maintaining social distancing. Coming to food, by far one of the best continental food I had in Mumbai. Not to miss their smoothie ( Banana, almond milk & chiku base) Chilli Cheese toast is a must try. Also if you are looking for JAIN food options, they offers that too, Isn't it so thoughtful <3 Loved everything here

absolutely excellent service, food and ambience. Visited here after I had a harrowing day outside and instantly found a sense of calm when seated in the wine bar area. Loved the great service and the attentive waiters who helped me. The food was also excellent - the chocolate almond cake is just delishhh!!!!

Lovely decor... reminds of a British era fine dine bar. Plenty of food and non alcoholic options. The only thing I missed is not having any beer on the menu.

We had intended to visit the Pantry but it was closed and had shifted to a different location. So we decided to try Kala ghoda cafe. The decor and service are great....the food was very good and the rates reasonable. The black americano was too good. Definitely worth a visit.

Great place to be for a good meal. Had been waiting for a long time to visit this place and finally could make it. The food options were good and the menu was great. We ordered for a Chicken Cheese Sandwich and Chicken Cesar Salad followed by a Margherita Pizza. The salad and the sandwich was too good but what really made me happy and content was the pizza 😍. One of the best Margherita pizza that I have had uptill date was served here. I even took one for parcel. We ended our meal with a cold coffee which was not great. Service and ambience and cleanliness was also very good here. Overall a very good experience and I am glad I could finally make it here. Will visit again.

It is a small place. But varieties of dishes to choose from. The cappuccino wasn't strong enough even with double shot. The veg mag sandwich was loaded with vegetables and was yummy.

The visit to this place was totally worth it. I ordered Tomato Cheese Sandwich and Cappuccino. The flavours were balanced and everything was perfect. The ambience is calm and peaceful. Limited seating depending on the time but the atmosphere+music is really good. The salad menu looked delish too! Extensive wine selection and almost no non-alcoholic option—-order and really liked the chicken lime chutney sandwich. So yum.
