Very nice place to visit. Basically there's 4 exhibition rooms in the gallery, where artists exhibit their work, usually for 2-3 weeks. All the artwork is on sale. It's a good place to visit multiple times, since the artists change over time, and there's always many surprises. The artists are also available, and usually engage in good conversation. It's also free of cost. The coffee available on the first floor is also very good.

One of the oldest Art galleries in Mumbai. Jahangir art gallery is a must visit if you’re an artist touring around Mumbai.Always has great artists showcasing their work. They have abstract paintings as well as realism. The place also showcases the work of artists that work with different mediums like clay/sculpting/3D etc There are several painters right outside the gallery too that sell their paintings for a cheaper price. These paintings are a good souvenir cause they’re really unique and beautiful and very inexpensive.

This art gallery was quite a surprise, of course a pleasant one. Actually I was not expecting such a niche collection of contemporary art within a hotel premises. Worth the visit.

Jehangir Art Gallery is located at Kalaghoda in Southern Mumbai and is one of the most prestigious venues for artists to display and showcase their work. The formation of the gallery was funded by Cowasji Jehangir and it has served its artful pursuits ever since it was established in 1952. Named after Sir Cowasji's late son Jehangir, the gallery has hosted the works of famous artists such as M. F. Hussain and S. H. Raza. A haven for art lovers, this destination is well known for its splendid art exhibits. Such is the prestige of this art venue that artists have to wait for as long as two years before they can open their exhibits here. The premises of Jehangir Art Gallery were earlier an enormous mansion. At present, the gallery consists of a total of four halls with all the possible facilities to showcase various mediums of visual art, namely Exhibition Gallery, Auditorium Hall, Terrace Art Gallery for photography and visual art and the Hirji Jehangir Gallery. The esteemed gallery hosts as many as 300 shows per annum. An interesting phenomenon here is that artists who cannot make it to the gallery, display their work right outside the gallery, on the pavement.

Entry is free and is following covid protocols with temperature and vaccination certificate checking prior to entry. The exhibits of various creative people were too good.Really well kept gallery. Unfortunately the shop selling souvenir was closed.Even the paintings outside the gallery on the pavement are worth viewing.

Jehangir Art Gallery is an art gallery in Mumbai (India). It was founded by Sir Cowasji Jehangir at the urging of K. K. Hebbar and Homi Bhabha. It was built in 1952. Managed by the Committee of Management, the entire cost of this mansion was donated by Cowasji Jehangir. This gallery is situated at Kala Ghoda, behind the Prince of Wales Museum, in South Mumbai near the Gateway of India, and has four exhibition halls. The gallery was designed by G.M.Bhuta for G.M. Bhuta & Associates.[1][citation needed]. The gallery closed for 11 months as a part of the COVID-19 lockdown in India and was partially re-opened on 16 February 2021. You can see many architectural projects and paintings here .Also some modern arts and statues if you are interested in art you should visit this place

Visited to see my friend Deepak’s Oil gallery show. Jahangir Art Gallery is a place where you have great opportunities to experience painting, sculpture and many art forms under one roof. The location is right at Mumbai central and no entry fee makes it open door for all.

‘Jehangir Art Gallery’ is an art gallery in Mumbai. This gallery is situated at Kala Ghoda behind the Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalay, in South Mumbai near the famous Gateway of India. It is one of the most prestigious art galleries in the country and has four exhibition halls, where we can see various artists exhibiting their paintings, sculptures and other works of art throughout the year. It’s an art lover’s paradise. There is no entry fee for the gallery. During our visit to Mumbai, we had visited this gallery. Being an art lover, we were able to thoroughly enjoy the exhibits that were displayed at the time. There is a small exhibition room on the terrace (one needs to go up the stairs and turn right) which a lot of people miss. We went all the way up and were happy to see the photography exhibition that time.

Indian artists want their work to be shown at this prestigious art gallery, which houses both historical and contemporary works. I went to this art exhibition on the spur of the moment, and I'm glad I did. I was overjoyed by the visit because I am a sporadic painter myself. Some of the country's top artists exhibit their work at this location. My favourite part was the gallery. e.

The vibe is amazing. I am not really into art. But it's fascinating seeing how so many artists have created such beautiful and unique pieces. Also, there are artists showcasing their works outside the gallery. Please do give them a visit. I think almost all of them have had their work displayed inside too. There is also an old uncle who sells bookmarks for just ₹50. He paints them by himself. He is really sweet and explains his ideas. Please please go buy something from him too. Make that man's day. Even yours will be made after you talk to him. :)

If you understand art then this place is for you. There are two sections of galleries inside the amazing building when I visited. The terrace area was closed due to Covid. And was No entry fees. There are people to even explain you the meaning the art and craft. Plus This musume actually gives opportunities to new artists who want to promote art and crafts. Isn't that amazing. You should pay a visit if you haven't visited this place.

The place is good for people who admire art and have a little understanding of various forms of art like, drawing, painting, sculpting, photography, etc. It's one of the oldest art galleries in India and people from across the country exhibit their works of art over here. It's a quite, silent place, good to spend your Sunday with a company who shares the same interests like you do. Photography is not allowed inside the gallery.

Jehangir Art Gallery, as the name suggests is a superb, iconic and landmark place in South Mumbai touching Kala Ghoda area. Walking distance from Fort, gateway of India and the Taj Mahal hotel in south Mumbai. Not a very large gallery, it depicts the arts and crafts of various artists. New exhibits keep coming regularly. Even on the pavements outside the Gallery you find artists ready to make portraits for a small amount. It has a small cafe inside which serves snacks and food. A lovely nostalgic place for art and meetings. Next door is a museum. And Court houses. Public transport available. Parking is an issue.

It's wonderful..! Much helpful for Artists and they also can learn many things from those paintings which are exhibited. Also it provides a robust and well maintained also famous place to showcase your mind-blowing arts. Lighting are perfect and the restrictions there are necessary to protect interest of the original paintings, such a combination of all types of arts we saw there.. Entry is free, there is no fee to visit and observe the art works. They give art gallery on rent to associations, institutions and different type of groups, as per my knowledge there is no any option to put your artwork as an single artist. Some artist's sign are superb! It gives the painting more value and premiumness.. Wonderful visit it was!
