Don't go by negative reviews. We have to admire the work that has been put to have this miniature ready. Ticket price is just 120 per person and it's not applicable for less than 3 years kid. They have various types of trains. Rope way also they have shown. Hills, Rail Tunnel, Adventure parks, Circus. They have shown a small world in one Small room. Credit to the person who has built it. Our kids enjoyed a lot. I would recommend to take your kids for sure.

Great museum. From what I have been told it has lost its glory in the recent years. The downstairs museum has been cut into half with many missing miniatures. The show was fantastic but from what I know it used to be a 45min show now cut short to 20mins. Not all trains run simultaneously. Nonetheless, you get a mesmerizing experience. All the history of the railway itself in a story form is great to attend - especially for young generations. Some of the trains in the show were not running. The tour lady interrupted the show couple of times because one of the trains was not running properly - she had to climb onto the side rails and keep the train in the right position to keep it going. It was a bit sad to see the museum losing its glory from what I have heard. But would like to encourage young people to step in and help if possible

It was a trip down the childhood for me, as the miniature toys brimmed with life and vigor. It is a must watch for kids who love vehicle toys.

This is a very good museum to see in Pune. Good for all age people and must visit for children. They have created a miniature city. This is first of such a kind in India. They have shown many things which are usually found in a modern city. But main emphasis is on railways. In this miniature city we can see replica of railway tracks, railway station, small railways, highways, buildings, vehicles on road, garden, playing ground, circus tent, driving theater, factories, a hill and a tunnel etc. In all together it make a modern city. Replica of different types of railways like steam railway, TGV train, monorail, funicular trains, bullet trains are created appropriately. All these trains we can see running during the show. It was very nice to see the train passing through the tunnel. It is a 25 minutes show. We can hear commentary either in English or in Marathi. Light and sound effect is very nice. They have taken a lot of efforts and made this wonderful artwork. Entry fees: β‚Ή 120/- per person. Atleast 4 person should be there to start the show. Photography: Allowed.

It was a good experience although tickets were priced quite high. It’s good place for bringing young children . Always grow in minimum group of 4 otherwise u have to purchase an extra ticket.

I must appreciate the efforts put in for developing and creating such spectacular mini models of not only trains but all other objects placed in the museum. The idea of a guided view gave a good experience overall. Salute to the creator

Miniature railway city. 25 min. Show which costs 120 per head. But show starts only when minimum 4 persons are there. Show is worth it. Good place for kids. They will love the mini working models of trains, circus, mountains.

I visited it recently. It was a good experience. Better place for kids and toddlers. You will get to see some good creation of miniature railways and city like structure. Background audio is played. You will get some basic knowledge about railway and it's history. They turn off the lights to make it look like city night and also sprinkle water for rain like feeling! Tickets are 120/- per person.

A good place for small/big kids who love trains. The ticket is a bit on the higher side. But the experience is good. Google maps do not show the correct location, the actual place is near wadeshwar or chat cafe

A lovely place to visit with little ones and if not then enjoy it as revisiting your childhood. A nice half an hour show which consists of a nice playful commentary along with cheerful music will surely entertain the little ones. Nicely done miniature city with a lot of model trains and other scale models.

I recently heard about this wonderful place located in Kothrud Pune. It’s a dream place for me as I love train and everything about it. Here the ticket price for the show is just rupees 120/- for children above 3 years and adults. The show is close to 20mins long and as enticing as it can get. Here you will get knowledge about trains and everything about it. It’s a dream place to visit if you love trains, engines and it’s rich history. It’s one of a kind place and I highly recommend you should visit it

Joshi's museum is a miniature world of the human world which shows railways and trains from a few decades ago to the recent ones. Buildings, cars, roads, circus setup, mountains and bridges shown in miniature form. The entire setup is created in a single room. It's a 30 min show cost is minimal Rs. 120 per person. Everyone will enjoy this 30 min show from kids to olds. Must watch at least once.

Amazing place for everyone to visit , especially for kids. The live working models not only showcases several miniature trains but also a wide spectrum of regular day to day life with wonderful background commentary. This museum has only a small room with this working model and a shelf showcasing old trains. Such groups needs more assistance and participation from citizens to keep this old charm running.

Don't buy the tickets in advance. Because they have a rule of 4 persons compulsory/should be there to start that setup of the railway city. Try to get there on the weekends only so you don't have to wait. And it's the only and only recommended place for 4 to 12year children's.

This is a place different from others of what I have seen and can vouch for it. A place ideal for small children to learn about the trains. A room on first floor with a working model and miniature trains with landscaping akin to actuals... A running g commentary and the miniature models moving or emitting lights... Commentary is in hindi and quite understandable. Open in the evenings.. Also miniature models of the trains and working models are available for sale.!!! Worth a visit... 120/- per head for everyone above 3 years!! Don't miss it.. Sharing some photos and vedieos.. Given 5 stars for the educational value!!

I had different expectations from this place on seeing the word Museum, had imagined old steam engines , historical rails etc to be on display, but after going inside, it was just a small room. Once the light and sound and movements of the miniature engines and trains started, we all, specially my kids enjoyed the entire show thoroughly. There is a choice of languages,Hindi, English and Marathi. We chose English. 20-25 mins of transporting yourself to the miniature world!! Worth a visit with kids.

Great place.... Kids entertainment & knowledge addition, both. Miniature of railways with steam engine, electric engine, trams, bullet trains, rope wsys, mountains, highways, etc. Commentary is equally good. 25 minutes session. Photography allowed. Simple looks. Parking on road. Minimum 4 persons is a requirement, else one has to buy 4 tickets to start the show.

My 4year old kid liked it a lot. He was excited to see how different kinds of railways work. Try not to miss the sound and light show which is conducted between 5to 8p.m . The museum is more of a one-room affair as others have already said, but educational to kids who are learning about different types of transportation.

Good to experience with kids.... Miniature things are really adorable .... BUT, the ticket (presently Rs. 100 in Dec 2022) ...is way too much when it comes to Show's duration and information. You can always think twice before going,.. as except introduction of 3/4 trains nothing highly valuable is shared.... We went to the show, as we had heard a lot about it, and frankly, it was not upto the expectations.

Its a nice place to take your kids. They will like this place. It takes efforts to build and maintain it. They should add more stuffs to it .. like may be create a train museum with information regarding railways since its inception. I was expecting some museum but its more of a train show. I am not sure if they keep changing the show. But all in all a decent place.

Good place for children. You will be allowed in a group of 4 only. Otherwise you have to wait for your turn. Each show is 25 min.

You must must must see this place. Conceived lots of years back it is more or less in tune with the shows in Europe. It is a fabulous experience. Take your kids. And it is not just a kids experience. Even if you are an adult or a seniour citizen, go and see. They have their scheduled shows of 25 minutes. The running trains and the moving stage makes it once must to be watched experience ! Do go. It worth the cost.

I visited today and it was disappointing experience overall. True, it's not a museum as some of the earlier reviews indicate but even the miniature concept and overall setup needs a big revamp. Before which you SHOULDN'T be charging INR 120!! Unfortunately you can't rate below 1 else it's not even worth 1. I didn't understand why so many people have rated this place so high in Google reviews which is what made me to visit the place.

If you are closed please have it mentioned somewhere in the website or keep someone to answer the phone. Coming all the way and finding it closed is ridiculous. I wonder should people visit on a working day? Why do you close on school holiday time? One star for poor communication. Hope you guys improve

Must visit for people who love trains. The little train show is designed for kids but we enjoyed it too. The exhibition is meticulously prepared and cared for. Kids will enjoy all the little surprises that the makers have created. A lot of information about various kinds of trains is disbursed in an interesting and entertaining manner. Kids of ages 3 and above, and adults of all ages, should be able to enjoy the visit. We found the ticket pricing of rs.120 per person reasonable for the experience and for all the efforts that go into maintaining the exhibition.

A unique museum demonstrating the evolution of transportation system in India. Its a small room where the model is built by the owner. Its basically a show of around 25 min with a narration. Most of it was functional but in some cases the operator had to physically push the vehicles which was funny. It showed that the model requires maintenance badly. Also the narration in the background should be upgraded with current times, it was sounding to naive. Overall a good experience for the kids. Chsrges are Rs. 120 person. You need to remove your footwear before entering the room. Parking is available in the bylanes. Wait time is approx 15 min as the shows are in batches. There are a lot of options around for food.

It's 20 min show for the kids and definitely not for the adults because of the setup and the explanation from them is very common information and there is nothing new to learn about trains and the services. For example : 3 Type of railway gauges, Meter Gauge, Broad gauge, and narrow gauge. Locomotives like, Steam, Diesel, electric etc should be shared would be great to the kids. Keeping only one language is also not good, they should also explain in English. In my view, Overall for kids it's a new place to see the miniature of trains but not a museum for sure.

Best experience i had as a kid we always had that the curiosity on how the railway works This museum show case all type of railway that are still in existence. Best part of the museum is they have a show which takes us back in time and as a kid we use to enjoy the train journey through the Western ghats. They have a miniature factory just below the museum and they manufacture the train miniature which you can buy from them.

Good experience with a lot of knowledge on the type of railways that are running around the world. The ticket cost is β‚Ή120/- per person above 3 years. The show time is 20-25 mins with a lot of information given on railways. The show is conducted every half an hour. Do expect crowds on weekends. Kids will enjoy the miniature world of trains. A very well designed project I would say in a limited space. Could have been more spacious and the information sharing language is only Hindi. My suggestion is that it should be conducted in Marathi, Hindi and English as the smaller kids only understand their mother tongue. So it becomes difficult for them to understand and then they lose interest in watching the show. The show of course is interesting and informative. It's a must visit for children, family and friends.

I love trains! May be for reference you can compare it with Sheldon's obsession with trains. And this place has a spot in nostalgia. My first train museum experience and the best one. i.would recommend one and all to visit.

It's too over priced no place for parking , you have to park vehicle outside after long search ,if you are paying 120 rs person atleast parking should be provided. ticket price it's too costly , according to me it should be 30 rs for 15 min show , there are lot more places which are cheaper but quality is too good e.g national war museum it's best place to visit ticket is only 20 rs. Which includes parking ,45 min show and other war equipments as well . Don't waste your time and money spending 120 rs per person , it would have been worth if ticket could be 20 to 30 rs

Fantastic work, interesting, love and labour went into meticulous planning to create an unique Museum in India. Instead of comparing and complaining, we must feel proud about this creation supporting great piece of art. Very important for kids to get an early education on Railways and it's reasonably priced as well. Rs 120 is not even US$ 2 and slightly higher than Β£ 1. We Indian don't mind shelling out $ and Β£ 10-20 overseas and flaunt pics and takes proud. Compare this with our Indian museums, picture gallery,... we just forget that we are looking down on our own fellow Indians. What we need to appreciate, encourage, support and spread a word globally. Hope readers will like my experience and suggestions. Thanks

It is a place to kindle the curious mind (kids). My child liked it a lot having seen animated series on Trains like "Thomas and Friends" which he could correlate. Im sure it takes a great deal to arrange a miniature museum and maintain it. Thank you for setting this exhibition. Just that it would have been good to include other language like English and Hindi besides Marathi in the commentary.

It's a fun place to go to with children, they are sure to enjoy the theatrics and all the moving parts in the show. Each show is about half an hour and the ticket is 120 rupees each (for everyone above 3 years of age). They also sell the miniature trains for enthusiasts. Lookout for the timings to avoid disappointment and be ready to wait if you reach while another show is going on.

Good place for kids but very different from my expectation. I had heard it was a small museum however, I went there expecting different sections with miniature rail exhibits. Instead it's a one room exhibit with a quite detailed installation of miniature rails and it's surroundings environment. They allow a group of 4 persons and above per show and a show is of around 20 minutes. There is a mini workshop too there which manufactures and sell miniature rails and it's components.

Good museum but average entertainment !! Trains had stoped two times in single show, and then restarted with kathi/stick support by operator .. Operator could shout on your kids 😢even though they won't touch any part of model !! So be careful ..

It is a half n hour show which gives you quick information about railways journey. The storyline is nice and the way miniatures are aligned that keeps your interest in the entire show. The miniatures are very nicely created. They also sell keychains of trains as well as miniatures like train engines (if I am not wrong). Do check timings before you go as those differ on weekdays and weekends.

This is a good place to visit. It shares information through an audio visual story narration where the visual is the model of a part of the city. The focus is on different types and history of trains. The place also has a factory where actual train models are made and are even available for sale. Although I felt it now needs an improvement to keep the audience attracted to it based on the technological advancement of 2023.

Wow! This is fabulous..so much detail and precision in their work. A very good place if you want to spend a small but good and informative time about railways. Entry is 120 per person but worth it. Minimum 4 people allowed at one time. So you can either go with a group of 4 or more or wait until another group/family arrives. It's a 20 min show. Good for all ages. You can also buy realistic miniature railway models there, but the prices are starting from approx. 18K and above. They aren't really toys but scale models of lifelike railways that function. Hats off to their effort of this fab concept and maintaining everything so well. Thank you.

You will get the tickets easyly. The show is quite outdated. This must have made sense 25 years back, but not anymore.
