It's a museum for Minerals specimens and some Fossils of dinosaurs. It's India's one and only Mineral museum. So you have to visit this at least once in lifetime. You can see here really mesmerizing types of stones which are true wonders of nature. After seeing it in real you cannot disappoint. It contains lots of different types of stones which has minerals formation of different types, shapes and colours. Entry fee is nominal 100rs per person. You can also buy many types of ornaments and decorative pieces of stones ranging from 200rs to 15 lakhs plus. Only drawback is it's really far away from main city.

Excellent collection of natural stones. Entry fee Rs. 100 and you get a guide free. Well maintained and applaudable as it is a single person's private collection. Worth visiting! If you are fond of nature, it is like discovering wonders of nature that are hidden under the ground. Even if stones don't attract you, the colours will definitely amaze you. Takes about an hour to see the collection spread out beautifully on two floors. There's a shop too where you can buy stone jewellery, decor, idols, and raw stones.

Gargoti Museum in Sinnar, Gargoti Museum is a mineral museum located in Sinnar, a town in the Nashik district of Maharashtra, India. The museum is dedicated to the display and preservation of minerals and is one of the largest mineral museums in the world. The museum was established in 2009 by Mr. K.C. Pandey, a mineral collector and enthusiast. It has a collection of over 40,000 specimens of minerals, crystals, and fossils from all over the world. The museum is named after Gargoti, a village in Maharashtra known for its Zeolite mines. The museum is spread over an area of 10 acres and has six galleries, each dedicated to a specific category of minerals such as Zeolites, Quartz, and Calcite. The galleries are well-lit and designed to showcase the specimens in an aesthetically pleasing manner. Apart from the galleries, the museum also has a research center, a library, and a souvenir shop. The research center provides facilities for studying minerals and conducting research on them. The library has a collection of books and journals related to geology and mineralogy. Overall, Gargoti Museum is a must-visit place

One of the best place to visit if you or your kid loves different coloured stone, crystal. Collection of stone is very huge. Collector had collection of crystal & mineral from different parts of world and Maharashtra. You will need atleast 1.30+ hours to complete museum visit so plan it accordingly. Best thing they provide guide Suggestions to management - currently management restricted access to 1 hour, it's very difficult to complete it within 1 hour time window. Please increase this time or don't put restrictions Removed 1 star for time constraints

Gargoti museum has the best collection of very rare crystals and minerals. The property is privately owned. Ticket is 100 Rs per person. They have guides for the tour inside a two story museum. Guides have good knowledge of what they are talking about. They are professionals in searching stones and getting minerals out of them.

A great place to be. Unearth the beauty hidden in stones. Never new Maharashtra belt was so rich in minerals. Next time you sit on a rock, do think..., is it holding some beautiful minerals within? Great to see rocks from the Moon and Mars too. All in all a truly enriching place for entire family

This place is great for Geologists. They have a good collection of Rocks, Minerals and Fossils. You can easily spend an hour here and not be bored. Entry fee is Rs. 100 per person. Very well maintained and clean. I don't think this is an ideal place to take smaller children. They also have a store on the upper floor where they have jewellery and other artifacts made out of special stones. Definitely check it out. Overall good to visit 👍🏻

Hidden gem. If you want to learn geology and rock formations, it is really good. Their collection is amazing. Rocks from moon and Mars is inspiring to see in India. Pyrite iron ore and fossils of Indian dynasour is mind boggling. But I think the guide needs to slow down. In order to complete it in one hour (I don't know why the hurry) he was rambling words and he himself was not able to understand or answer questions. They need to explain some words either in charts or video format so that students can take notes and also remember things.

It's one of unique museums in the country. It's the only gem, mineral and fossil museum and the biggest in the world by an individual privately. It's a wonderful place for the subject experts and students in the related field. It's organized in a wonderful way, maintained beautifully and asthetically in the best manner. Of course, it's visited by many but I have doubts, whether people from other areas of Maharashtra and other states are visiting it. This place needs to be visited to know the beauty of earth and geographic wonders for the laypersons as well for the geology students. Staff is knowledgeable and cooperative to give all the information.

Title: A Captivating Journey through the Gargoti Mineral Museum Review: Nestled within the captivating world of minerals, the Gargoti Mineral Museum offers a mesmerizing experience that will leave you in awe. During my recent visit, I was thoroughly enchanted by the museum's unique charm and the diverse array of rocks on display. First and foremost, the museum's multi-storey layout adds an element of intrigue to the entire experience. As I ascended through the levels, each floor revealed a new chapter in the story of Earth's geological wonders. The well-organized exhibits provided a comprehensive journey through the world of minerals, from their formation to their breathtaking variety. The sheer diversity of minerals showcased at the Gargoti Museum is truly remarkable. Each specimen, meticulously curated and labeled, tells a tale of natural beauty and scientific significance. From sparkling quartz crystals to vibrant amethyst geodes, the collection boasts an impressive range that caters to both casual visitors and passionate mineral enthusiasts. Moreover, the ambiance of the museum is exceptionally inviting. With comfortable seating areas scattered throughout, visitors have the opportunity to sit back, relax, and immerse themselves in the captivating surroundings. The serene atmosphere makes it an ideal place to spend quality time, whether alone or with friends and family. Furthermore, I was pleased to find that the museum offers insightful information alongside the exhibits. Engaging descriptions, educational panels, and interactive displays provide valuable knowledge about the geological processes that shape our planet. This enriches the experience, making it both visually captivating and intellectually stimulating. Last but not least, the staff at the Gargoti Mineral Museum were friendly and knowledgeable. They were readily available to answer questions and share fascinating insights about the specimens on display. Their passion for minerals and eagerness to engage with visitors added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit. In conclusion, the Gargoti Mineral Museum is a true gem in the world of rock museums. Its multi-storey layout, diverse collection, inviting ambiance, and knowledgeable staff all contribute to an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a mineral enthusiast or simply looking for a place to relax and marvel at nature's wonders, this museum is undoubtedly worth a visit.

    * Well curated & preserved collection of numerous minerals, rare metals, fossils and other things. A must visit place for families, friends while visiting Nashik. * The guide was well Trained and had a lot of knowledge about the minerals but he kept standing too close to us and it was deliberate. He made us uncomfortable with his behavior. This made our overall experience very bad even though we liked the collection very much. Management should take some action against him.

An awesome collection of various types of minerals and stones. Most of the minerals consisted of the ones found in Maharashtra, and some of them were imported from foreign countries too. The road to reach there is okay, and you might find it a bit difficult to spot this place as it's a bit far away from the main road, but maps help you to reach that place. There is ample parking space available too for private vehicles and small tourist buses. Till now, public transport is not available to reach this place. Entrance fee to the museum is ₹100 and it's worth it as you also get a guide, who tells you about each and every crystals and minerals present in the museum. It might take one an hour or a couple to explore this place. There is a shopping centre too available for people to shop for some precious stones in the form of jewelleries or as decorative show pieces. Make sure that you have some decent meal before coming to this place. Since this place is located in an industrial area, hence you might not find some eateries nearby.

My parents had been here a few years ago and had recommended a visit, and it was worth it. So many beautiful mineral crystal from across Maharashtra state. First time ever I saw a natural gold nugget and crystal gold. They have an interesting collection of fossils too. They were kind enough to evaluate the stone samples we had bought along. They have very well educated and informed guides who dispense knowledge and involve the audience. They have a small museum shop too with reasonably priced artefacts.

Splendid collection of Minerals collected from all over India and around the globe. You name it and they have it. The tour of the museum was fruitful only because of the guide who explained each and every stone and crystal. He was knowledgeable and explained how a natural phenomenon transforms insides of a volcanic rock into magnificent mineral stones. He explained various stages of crystal formations, how temperature, pressure, and other ingredients affect the formations that are found in otherwise regular looking rock. It totally changed my perspective to look at the stones. It's a private collection which was a byproduct of passion combined with businesses of a visionary mineral man. Although people consider it as an educational experience and hence have limited audience I must say that it is for everyone who has ever seen a rock. The exhibits are one of a kind, rare, unique, naturally occuring gems literally. Each exhibit is different as well as exquisite than the previous one. After the visit you can purchase souvenirs to remember the visit by.

The private limited Mineral Stone museum feels like a fake establishment with lots of stones which they claimed that they are of rare minerals. As all know the world is full of wonders and Nature's strength is uncountable. But their collection felt like it was made by a stonemason or by using any machinery. The museum also has lots of bones which they claimed that the bones are of dinosaurs. As we all know all the Fossils are taken care of by the archeological department and private agencies have no rights to custody them. When I asked about the same, the guide replied that the said collections were gifted by the archeological department. I don't know about the reality. I hope anyone can resolve my doubts. Above all, the collection also includes the wreck from the great titanic ship, stone from Mars and stone from the moon!!!! Unbelievable??? Maybe this all can be avoided by considering the lack of my knowledge of these things, but the jewellery shop inside the museum will definitely lead you to unending confusions and doubts. The collection which is showcased on the first floor by claiming the rarity is priced 1- 2 lakhs inside the shop. I asked ,"what if the " rare and volcano- erupted-items for sale" sold out completely??". The shopkeeper replied that they have a mass number of items in the store room. What does that mean??? They are manufacturing the same or they are the lone authority or collector of mineral stones in the world. After going through all the showcased items my team felt that the museum is a false setup with a collection of fabricated stones and only very minimal items are obtained from nature. Waiting for a reply from anyone who has the best knowledge on this.
