Great statue of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is there in the entrance. Although transport is bit difficult to get for place.

I am genuinely speechless at the sight of this phenomenal museum that honors the greatest king in all of Indian History 🚩. Shivaji Maharaj is a symbol to all Hindus everywhere in the world, he is an icon amongst icons and too often thanks to the influences of the Indian National Congress, his contributions to Bharat are not always as respected as they should be. This is exactly why this amazing museum by Francois Gautier is so perfect and impactful for our culture, because the presentation and attention to details surrounding the exhibit are impeccable. You literally feel like you’re walking through the history of that era and can see the actions of the Mughals in full display. Shivaji Maharaj is our greatest hero and this is the greatest temple to honor him. As Shivaji Once Said “Never Bend Your Head, Always Hold It High!” We must take pride in our history like how this museum does so well! Jai Shivaji! Jai Maharashtra! Jai Namo! Jai Bharat! 🚩🚩🚩

I visited as I had read that it's established by French historian Francois Gautier but there was no mention of any such thing anywhere besides apart from chhatrapati shivaji maharaj there are many halls with information in tune with those contemporary times of history like maharana pratap,Aurangzeb , Portuguese ,tanaji malusare Though there are no actual historic things like a swords or structure s Still most prolific part is the pictures and paintings ☺️ It's an enormous collection ..Would take at least 2..3 hrs to see .. Place is quite deserted though ..Needs to improve on awareness of their existence and at a slightly off road location Still worth a visit once ..👍

Francois Gautier formed an organisation known as the Foundation for Advancement of Cultural Ties (FACT), which is also the founding organisation for the museum. The museum is a part of a large property and is divided into various sections. The sections showcase exhibits belonging to different dynasties, rulers or groups of individuals; a display on Aurangzeb, the life of Shivaji Maharaj, the Portuguese invasion of India, Ahilyabai’s life, Dara Shikoh’s journey, Maharana Pratap’s life, Aryan Invasion theory, Tibetan history, to name a few. The displays are in the form of paintings, miniature paintings, posters, banners, drawings, etc.

(Translated by Google) Francis Gautier, a journalist from France, has erected a memorial to Shivaji Raj at Lohgaon in Pune (on Wadgaon Shinde Road). Here he has tried to introduce Indian spirituality. He built this monument with the intention of introducing Indian culture and offered it to Mother India. We must visit this memorial and see the homage paid to Shivaji Raje and Indian culture by a foreigner. This is fantastic must visit place when you are in Pune. Since it is recently constructed with very low budget it is not like other museums but it is having all the quality of a museum, you may feel like it is not worth from the entrance unless you explore by going inside. Gives enough knowledge on Bharat and India. I request everyone to visit this place. This place deserves our visit

Poor content, poorly displayed. No artefacts, so real proof of any of the written material. New 'paintings' of supposed historical 'moments', but no provenance of why they are historically accurate. Displays are of poor quality flex not even mounted properly. Calligraphic flex boards are hard to read and calligraphh is not even historically attributed to India, so no idea why it is used. Not worth the drive

The museum showcases parts of Indian history which have remain largely hidden from the mainstream. A must visit place. Detailed reading of all artefacts can be time consuming, thus it is best to go with 2-3 hours on hand. Downside - Though the museum is well kept, mosquito menace is serious spoiler. Wearing full sleeve clothes or putting on a mosquito repellent cream is highly recommended.

The museum's layout and design were well thought out, with each section flowing seamlessly into the next. The lighting and ambiance added to the overall appeal, creating an immersive experience that transported visitors back in time. Additionally, the staff members were knowledgeable, approachable, and eager to answer any questions, enriching the overall experience. However, I would have appreciated more detailed descriptions and contextual information accompanying the exhibits. While the audio guides were helpful, additional textual information could have provided a deeper understanding of the historical significance of each artifact. Overall, the Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and anyone eager to delve into the vibrant history of the Maratha Empire.

Only suggestion is the calligraphy needs to change and needs to be more usee friendly in bold font so the viewer could read easily before moving to the next one Also please keep some UPI scan display for ppl to donate on the spot
