Nice place to visit especially if one is interested in Railway history and its evolution. The place is not huge but pretty much good to spend an hour. It is near Kabadi Metro station. The ticket price is Rs.25 for adults as of today. There are models of trains and not the real one. You can give it a visit.

We took kids aged around 2.5-3 years. It was a memorable time for them. They were so much in awe of the engine and the animal statues here and there. And the best part was the train ride around the garden. It was absolutely the most enjoyable. I recommend to visit in the evenings during summer because it was too hot and all the equipment in the garden was so hot that the children didn’t even touch the swings and slides. Very well maintained garden

It is the only narrow gauge museum in India. It has photographs and models of old rolling stock used in narrow gauge railways. This place also has a computerized reservation centre for ticket booking. The place is clean and well maintained by Indian Railways. A toy train helps you take a full tour of museum. It also has an old coach refurbished as a restaurant.

Amazing place to visit on your weekends with friends and family, especially with kids. The toy train ride was a superb experience and my daughter enjoyed it a lot. One of the finest places to visit which is not so far and is almost in the middle of the city. The entry fee is just Rs. 25/- per person and toy train ride charges are also Rs. 25/- per person. The swings and the rides make it a wholesome experience for the kids to enjoy at their fullest. The greenery and the pleasant site and garden makes it a relaxing place all together. Much much better than Bal Udyan and any other place in the city. Highly recommended to go, visit and enjoy with your loved ones. Just keep in mind to go on a cloudy day to enjoy the freshness of the site because on a sunny day, it might be very hot in summer.

Museum is neatly maintained. Railway history in the central India is depicted in the museum. Ticket costs rs 25 per head. However it looks like people are not giving much attention to this. Outdoor set ups are not much maintained. An indoor museum is also there which is divided in various sections like signal and communication, engine, electrical, etc.. old steam engines are shown there. However the satisfaction level is not upto the mark.

Located behind nagpur junction railway station in Mautibagh Area. Entry fee ₹25 + ₹10 for toy train. Revolving restaurant tkt rs 50 (not functioning now) Nice place for short outing. Informative musium on narrowgauge railway system. Good place to take kids as they can enjoy various activities. But post covid maintenance is pity low I think the management should pay attention to this.

Best train railway museum in central nagpur If you're a person hungry for knowledge, and enthusiastic to know history of railways Then this place related to you with old golden era engines 🚂, narrow gauge train, tells you story of transition of railway system then and now. They provide a small trip around the museum by narrow gauge train.and have a revolving train restaurant as well. A must visit place for family , video vlogers and friends.

The most important thing is this museum is closed on MONDAY. The roads leading to the museum are not good with lots of road works and flyover construction going on but inside the museum is maintained well. Entrance ticket cost Rs 25 for adults and 10 for children with similar additional charges if opting for the toy train. 50rs per person is charged for the revolving coach also called revolving restaurant. Its a nice park good for kids to know more about narrow gauge and see how railways have evolved over time. There’s also a auditorium with many informative objects. Eatables aren’t allowed inside the auditorium.

Good place to visit, It shows the history of locomotion and the development of transportation systems. It's a great place to learn about the history of trains in India, their impact on society, and the engineering marvels behind them. Don't forget to explore the exhibit, read the placards, and imagine the bygone era of trains. The only problem was that there are no guards patrolling to see if anyone is doing something wrong, like there were so many children who climbed up on the top of the trains where they don't have to and they might get injured.

WOW!! Had a fun filled and amazing visit here. Doesn't matter whether you're a train enthusiast or not, this place will make you fall in love with the Indian Railways all over again ❤️❤️ tickets for adult were 25rs and for children i guess 15rs. Ticket counter opens at 11am. I visited on a weekend, IT'S CLOSED ON MONDAY. If you are bored of going to regular nagpur hotspots like futala or Japanese garden let's say this can be a fun new spot to visit. Amazing actual pictures of train and workers from 20th century and very very very interesting to read facts, artifacts as well as tiny train models 😍❤️

My reason for visiting this priceless though small museum lay in my early childhood memories of having grown up in a railway colony and travelling in metre gauge trains . There were only 8 visitors at the time but it didn't matter to me. I stood there brooding and rolled back the years to recreate some wonderful moments. We should always value our heritage and pass on these sentiments to the next gen. Wish that the train coach restaurant and toy train were also operational. Just feel that someone should take charge of welcoming the visitors and walk along to add warmth to an otherwise quiet campus .

A very good museum with lovely garden and play area for kids.... They are 4-5 different locomotive and engines in display... also are lots of parts used in railway industry. Added attraction is toy train and revolving train restaurant.. entry fee is 25 for adults and 10 for children...same charges for toy train... revolving restaurant is undergoing renovation and is closed currently (Nov 2021).... should start in 3-4 months. Due to metro work the road to museum is closed from one side so you have to arrive there from other end...

Very nice meuseum. But it is best suitable for school trip rather than a tourist attraction. The garden has very old toys. The railway engines in park are good but only 2 -3 are placed. Ticket 15 for children and 30 for adults. I can be fairly seen in 1 hour and for many it's literally boring. There is pay and park facility and main gate offers various ticket reservations also. The train in the park is charged seperately, but started when crowd is there.

The Rail Museum is one of the places to visit in Nagpur especially near the Railway station. The Narrow Gauge Rail Museum is well maintained with a few locomotives and different types of wagons (both goods and passenger) preserved in a decent manner. It also has rotating table and a narrow gauge toy train on which you can take a ride under a certain charge. The information inside the main shed of the museum is interesting. It would be better of they give us inner access to locomotives and coaches. The place is worth visiting especially for railfans and children. Recommended by me 🤘
