Went in for an exhibition of handicrafts and handloom. Clearly a very centrally located hall inside the museum premises. However it does not have aircon and there was hardly any clear walking space between stalls. So circulation is a bit challenging but it was worth the visit and the shopping...a very good peek in to Indian wear (jewellery and clothes from different states) and perfect location for such an exhibition.

It's a great place where we visit each year for the MABA event (Mumbai Art by Artists) in January. Well lit, air conditioned, and decent washrooms

This hall is great for hosting small events based on awareness, meet and greet or some exhibition, seminars etc. We had a movie screening along with art exhibition here during the Kala Ghoda festival. It was great fun and foods provided here are also of good quality. So, you do not need to hesitate while eating here. See ya!

Best place to explore the archeologic side of Mumbai with great exhibitions held from time to time at coomaraswamy hall. An open book library installation was also set up to promote free book exchange. Outside the museum, the footpath is filled with local artists who make creative charcoal and colorful paintings. Good place to take children for a tour as well.

Coomaraswamy Hall inside the CSMV museum has a stream.of exhibitions running all year round. If you are going to the main museum which is a treasure house, you would do well to peep into this hall to check what is going on at the moment. The large Ari conditioned hall is comfortable . There is also a nice washroom attached to it.

The most interesting museum in India. They are doing a lot to ensure that there is an interactive experience in every gallery. And the collection is one of the best in the country

The Go Coop exhibition which comes to Coomarswamy hall at regular intervals brings artisans from various states of India under one roof, where handloom enthusiasts can buy authentic fabrics straight from artisans. This gives Indian art a great impetuous, also a textile aficionado can interact with artisans and understand how the fabrics are dyed, and the process behind the techniques by interacting with the weavers at the stalls, Go coop is a great platform!!

Great place to learn the history of Mumbai and India through archeological pieces, sculptures, paintings, money, and food. I was quite surprised how much I enjoyed my time there. Planned on one hour. Spent nearly 2 hours.

I went for a Egyptian exhibition, was disappointed. There was just one mummy and some statues.

👍👍 This place is amazing, worth visiting once. But you need to spend a day at this place if you are a cinema enthusiast. Entry fees is 20rs only for Indian citizens. By train get down at Grant Road. From Grant Road station National Museum of Indian Cinema is around 2km you can walk for 25min exploring...
