Had the worst experience with the restaurant. I have been eating here since the last 20 years, but today's experience has spoiled all of it. I had ordered for a plate of Idli Wada as home delivery alongwith other items. Upon receiving the order and examination I found the mistake, asked the delivery guy about it who just ignored my question and walked away with the money. Initially I thought that lets ignore the mistake as it's a sunday and peak hours for the restaurant. When I opened the parcel I found a smal ziplock packet with 1 tsp of chutney. I called up the restaurant to complain about it but they kept giving me other numbers to complaint. I ultimately frustrated with the response I decided to go to restaurant and complain about it to the manager. At the restaurant the manager just ignored my complaint and asked me whether I would like to change my order to the initial order. Irritated I told him to atleast a restaurant as old as you should listen to the complaints of your loyal customers. The manager straight away told me that you'll only get 1 spoon of chutney and order if you want it or else don't order. Facing such behaviour I cancelled my order and have decided to never visit this restaurant again. Very dissatisfied and disappointed today with a restaurant which once upon a time was one of the best in this area.

Would rate 4 stars for the location as it is very near to Mumbai Central Railway Station. They have loads of cuisine to try and can have quick bite too, I tried paneer biryani which was delicious and loved that. The raita and chatni serves were delicious and fresh too. The hygiene was maintained. The ambiance was quite good. It's the very old restaurant but the interiors doesn't looks so. I would love to try some Maharashtrian and South indian cuisine next time for sure.

I might be biased in this review as this is our family number 1 place to have best no frills homely vegetarian restaurant with cooperative staff. Best dishes is thali, masala dosa. Our family all time favorite. Tasted their masala pav that too awesome quality. Dessert: cassata icecream, mix fruit falooda.

South Indian, Punjabi All Veg restaurant. It was the pride of Mumbai Central once.... Almost like a landmark. But with time, it's quality and distinctive identity too has moved on. What you find here is almost everywhere else on the Menu. Nothing really unique.Food quality is still up there and freshness of the ingredients has been maintained..please visit if you crave south Indian fare.... But you will find only the basic idli, dosas, uthapas etc..... Punjabi fare they do have quite a large Menu. ...

I visited this place yesterday for lunch. We ordered two South Indian thali and one Mysore Masala Dosa. The food was very good, especially the thali had homestyle cooked veggies with hot poori. All other items in the thali were also good, pineapple sheera, masala chaas, daal rice. Sambhar offered with the mysore masala dosa was sweet, and tasty. Highly recommended for south indian food.

Refer order number: 678, dt: 20/11/2023 Items ordered: Paneer Kadai, Vegetable Kolhapuri, Hara-Bhara Kabab, Dahi Bara, Missi Roti, Bajra Roti, Tandoori Roti Complaining: Hara-Bhara Kabab not delivered but charged! Person in Kalpana spoke v rudely & disconnected when called up to enquire. Paneer Kadai was horribly made. Only few v v small paneer pieces sprinkled in a gravy that was v oily with chillies hot gravy that almost immediately upset the stomach. Vegetable Kolhapuri was worse with v small pieces of cauliflower, some shavings of paneer in a lot of some red oil that was hot with chillies! Could not eat as found the taste horrible. All the rotis mentioned were just ok. Dahi bara was sweet without tamrind chutney & seemed bad in taste. Will never order again 👎
