This is the place for those who love to have authentic and traditional Kerala food. I had a proper lunch with coconut based fish curry at a very reasonable price. The ambience of the premises is too good, it's walkable distance from vashi railway station It's not hotel or restaurant, it's a canteen of Kerala house, you will also get stay facilities (you should check the terms and conditions before get in) also you can buy articles from Govt emporium inside the house

A hidden gem among all Kerala cuisine restaurants. A full unlimited meal served on a banana leaf in authentic kerala style. The avial, pineapple pulisery, pradhaman and pappadum needs a special mention. It was nostalgic to be served with chukku water and matta rice. They are open on both weekends and weekdays only for lunch. During weekends it's a limited spread though served in plates and not the traditional vazha elai. The service was a bit slow, which is understandable seeing the reception they get. Be prepared to wait for quite some time to get a turn at the table. During the wait time, one can casually browse the government store in the waiting area for curios and gift items. The cost for an unlimited veg meal comes to Rs. 130/- per person during weekends and Rs. 80/- per person during weekdays. Additional items like fish fry/chicken dishes can be ordered separately, if one wishes.

We had lunch here, this is typically a malayali restaurant. Foods are served on banana leaves. Ambience is good. This is Thali restaurant, you can take fish or chicken .The non veg cost is separate. The food quality was good and the quantity was enough. Unlimited thali system . Non veg items are non-repeatable. Waiting time was not so high. Service is fast. Absolutely neat and clean restaurant. Overall we enjoyed the food. This restaurant do not accept credit card. You can purchase some South Indian souvenirs from here. There is a souvenirs Shop available but cost is bit higher side.

The food and the atmosphere were great. A lot of people were waiting in line just for this lovely food, and the waiting time was roughly 1 hour when I visited on the weekend, but on weekdays, the waiting time is roughly 20–30 minutes. Back to food It was so simple and so tasty, as if it were homemade food, and the best part is that they keep serving you till you are satisfied, and that too at the cost of just 100 ₹ during the week and 150₹ during the weekend.

This place is located inside the Kerala Bhavan and is quite popular among the locals. It has a huge rush on weekends. I visited here on a Saturday afternoon and found it to be quite hyped. Thali is the default menu during lunch hours. In case you want a non vegetarian dish, you will have to order separately. They serve unlimited food (except for papad and payasam) for just Rs. 130/- Extra 2 papad costs Rs. 10/- Instead of plain water, they serve a pinkish color ayurvedic herbs infused water along with the meals. My reasons for a three star rating: 1. The taste of the food is okayish, bland, less salt and no spices unlike an authentic Kerala meal. 2. Surprisingly, banana, curd and rasam were missing from thali. 3. The dining area is too small to accommodate the crowd it draws on weekends and there is no ventilation in the dining room. 3. There's no separate section for vegetarians and since there is no ventilation, the dining area is filled with aroma of fish and other non-vegetarian foods. This causes discomfort for the vegetarians. They should consider making a separate dining room for vegetarians.

Authentic Kairali cuisine, served on banana leaves, 4-5 varieties of curry/chutney, that pineapple curry and papad were my favourite. Hygienic place. Nice ambience. Could be crowdy on weekends, please try to reach before 12 noon on weekends. One suggestion, they should separate the non-vegetarian dining from the vegetarian.

Overall Vibe: Best place to have authentic Kerala home style food. Unlimited Veg Thali (Meal) is served with rice, 3 types of vegetables(Sabzi), Kadhi, Rasam and Sambar with papad. You'll have to order masala butter milk (must try) separately as it's not included in the meal combo. Trust me! They serve one of the cleanest and healthiest Indian meal in Navi Mumbai. Basic menu remains same everyday, only vegetables (Sabzi) change daily. Highlight: Special meal (+2 addon vegetable dish & desert over regular menu) on banana leaf on Fridays, usually on Sundays but due to covid restrictions Sat-Sun are 'takeaway only' days. Timing: Opens everyday between 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm only Takeaway available.

If you want to experience Authentic Kerala meal then this is the place for you, a good quality food with very decent price. Only issue is, The dine in area at Kerala bhavan is very small and because of that people often wait for at least half an hour before they get their number.

Really nice place for lunch, authentic Kerala is used for serving with veg and non veg options. Fish and chicken can be found for non veg. Food is really good and tastes so amazing with different varieties and options. Economical as well, approx 350 for non-veg & 200 for veg.

Went to have lunch on a Sunday, my number was 82 at 1:30pm and going number was 42. Heavy rush on weekends, Had lunch and fried chicken, pickle, ginger sauce is too good. Papad is chargeable after initial round cost rs 10per piece, lunch cost rs 130/person. Wonderful and tasty food. Unlimited food.

Recommended and worth it for sure. Proper authentic Kerala meal and you would enjoy it. They have sides as Surmai fry and chicken 65 and they are worth. Cost is moderate and reasonable. Should definitely try Fish curry for sure. The only drawback would be regarding the wait, the place is crowded as hell and be ready to wait but the wait is worth.

This restaurant is a local favourite amongst malayalis and is found inside the Kerala Bhavan in Vashi. Weekends see a large rush. On a Sunday afternoon, I decided I will go check out much hyped out restaurant. When I googled it, the restaurant open time is 12:30, but when I arrived at 12:30, there was a sizable line, and I had to take number and wait in queue. The standard lunchtime food is thali on weekend You will need to place a second order if you want a non-vegetarian dish. For about Rs. 130/-, they offer limitless food (with the exception of papad and payasam). An additional 2 papads cost Rs. 10/-. Instead of serving plain water with meals, I like the fact the offer boiled water has been infused with ayurvedic herbs. which is quite traditional in kerala. They do accept gpay but no card . I gave this product three stars because: 1. Compared to a meal from an authentic Kerala restaurant, the food's flavour is mediocre, bland, and lacking in spices 3. I found it too crowded especially on weekend It would have been better if there had been a separate area for vegetarians and non-vegetarians so that individuals going to order fish fries or chicken roasts wouldn't bother vegetarians who don't enjoy the odours. I like to test drive cars and bikes and I do have youtube channel. If you like to check it out

Out of the many state bhavans that dot the landscape near Vashi Railway Station; Kerala Bhavan sees the most crowd of people coming to eat their famous Lunch on weekends! Crowd Management is good - token number system with an AC waiting hall with lots of seating should put families & senior citizens at ease. The turn around time is quick as it is a No Nonsense kind of eating place where you just eat & leave. The food is served on Banana Leaf and is typical to what one would expect! Rice + Sambhar + Rasam + Kadhi + 4 Subji + Ginger (Inji) chutney + Pickle + Pappad + Chaas along with 1 Payasam is what one gets Papad + Sweet + Chaas can be ordered extra at extra cost. One can also order Non Veg separately & pay for it. All in all a good simple food experience for a weekend if you are looking for something light!

So I visited this place after watching video on Instagram. The food is really good and also it’s affordable like veg thali is just 110 for unlimited serving. Also the taste is nice and staff is so friendly and sweet. They do have non veg options too. Also this place has always full so keep in mind waiting time. This place is close to Vashi station and walking distance. Also this is state run.

Non- Mallu person review 😊 I'm a gujrati and have tried Kerala food at several places. So I thought of trying here. The place is near Vashi railway station and serves authentic Kerala style food. You won't feel bloated after having food which means the food is cooked in a home style. The cost for veg is 160 Rs per person (unlimited servings). They also serve chaas (mor) at the end if requested. In nonveg, they have fish and chicken option. Can't comment on the taste as I am a vegetarian so haven't tried. The average waiting time to get in is around 15-20mins on Sat-Sun.

Decent place for kerala meal in vashi. Situated near vashi station it’s a good place where you get thali option - veg or non veg. We had veg meal which served Sabzi Rasam Sambhar Kadhi Rice Papad Salad Chaas Food was okay. We went here with lots of expectations but it turned out to be just okay. Taste was alright nothing great. They did not even serve the meal on banana leaf which was another disappointment. Service was fine and staff is good. They have good seating space available in the dining area. It opens around 12 noon and closes by 4 pm. The entrance to the place is grand. There is also a gift shop available within the premises. Overall and okayish experience.

We visited for our official team lunch to this place. It was my first visit to Kerala House. Parking is available on street near the restaurant. Place is really cool and air conditioned. There is token system for your number. Seats are ok, food is served very nicely and in ample quantity. I really enjoyed the fried surmayi fish there. It was too delicious. We also enjoyed the fried chicken dish there. Overall it was a very tasty and peaceful experience over there.

If you want to have authentic Kerala food, this is the place to visit! The curries, dal, vegetables served go very well with the boiled brown rice... papad, pickles, chutneys add to the taste... Payasam was truly tasty with the right amount of sweetness. For food - 8/10, Ambience - 7/10. Definitely a must visit for the ones who like to explore food...

They serve Kerala food in Vashi. The service was beyond good! The Food was good(though some of the dishes didn't taste like authentic Kerala ones). You will get a seat inside based on the Token system. There was Sambhar, Moru Curry(yoghurt curry), Rasam and Fish curry available for Oonu. For each extra pappadom they will charge you 10 rupees and for Chaas another 20 rupees.

Recommended if anyone wants to try authentic Kerala food. The atmosphere is good. There is waiting for almost 15-20 during weekdays too. The food was served in a regular dish. The food quality is very nice and taste was good. There is an unlimited veg dish for 100rs. Both veg and nonveg options are available. But there's no separate curry for chicken or fish you have to eat with a regular vegetarian meal. Overall a good experience..👍

Very bad attitude of the entire staff, they decide on their own about availability of parcel service whether to give or not as if they are giving it for free of cost. I'm sure none of the people go there because of their service it only the authentic taste of the food which is good rest everything is less than 1 star I can say.

I visited Kerala🌴 House 🏡 Vashi with wife , and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the food. The restaurant is located inside the Kerala Bhavan, and has a simple and clean ambience. The staff 👨‍🍳were courteous and attentive, and the service was quick. We ordered the Kerala Sadhya, a traditional vegetarian feast served on a banana leaf🍃. It consisted of rice🍚, sambar, rasam, avial, thoran, pachadi, pickle, papad, and payasam. The food was delicious😋 and flavorful, and each dish had a distinct taste and texture. The portions were generous and unlimited, and we enjoyed every bite. The payasam, a sweet pudding🥮 made of rice, milk, and jaggery, was the perfect end to our meal. We also tried chicken fry🍗, which were crispy and spicy. Government also run emporium that sells various products from Kerala, such as handicrafts, remarkable paintings 🖌️, textiles, and jewellery. I would recommend doing some shopping 🛍️ at Kerala House to those who like South Indian things. We had a great time 😍at Kerala House Vashi, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves South Indian food. It is a hidden gem🤩 in Mumbai, and a must-try for all foodies😋.
