It was nice.. Food was good.. But if you are not a big fan of coconut then pls ask them in which dish they are just using coconut for gravy if you are ordering south indian style food.. Otherwise the service and food were really good...

Tried Surmai fish fry thali and Prawns koliwada along with neer dosa. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. You will love this place this place if you like Mangalorean food. Also pocket friendly as compared to other well-known places.

It’s a gem!! Beautiful place with amazing food! Worth every penny. Some may find it expensive, which it is but totally worth it. We tried the fish thali with Surmai and the chicken thalli. It was excellent! We didn’t like the solkaddi. Everything else is yummy! The management and the staff doesn’t wear masks.

I've been visiting this place for about last 5yrs. It's my fav place to have seafood. I personally love surmai thali here & even bombil fry is also so good. It's literally lip smacking. Ambience is so clean and hygienic. They have A/C and Non A/C dine in separately. Waiter's are too good and polite. Overall it's a must vist place to all the seafood lover's out there.

This place is a fish lovers paradise. There are a lot of options to choose from here. The price is a bit high but it's totally worth it. Seating is a bit crammed, but otherwise this place is amazing. Seafood platter, Prawns dishes and Solkadi are must haves here! Would highly recommend if you want to go out for a lunch or dinner with your family

I recently visited Sion Lunch Home and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The menu is diverse, offering a variety of delicious dishes to choose from. I particularly enjoyed bombali fry and Mughlai chicken ( chicken was overcooked) but gravy was awsome. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. I highly recommend Sion Lunch Home for anyone looking for a tasty and affordable meal in Mumbai.

Had neer dosa, prawn ghee roast and pompret fry. Prawn Ghee roast was too spicy, has a good kick to it. Pomfret fry was delicious with nice crispy coating. Neer dosa went well with both dishes. Overall a well enjoyable dining experience.

We had a few dishes over there. All in all the dishes were fine. The prompfret and surmai fishes had great taste of the masala they were served in. Had chicken lolypop as well which was served with Schezwan sauce. Bombil fry (5 pieces)was also great and crispy. Didn't like the prawns ghee roast which was actually their speciality. It was spicy and didn't taste good at all. We went especially for the prawns ghee roast. The neer dosa(5 pieces) were stuck to each other when tried to seperate them. Didnot like the sol kadi as well . All we could get the taste of was ginger.

This place is good restaurant to have non veg food in sion considering lot of restaurants in sion are veg. Ordered items --> We ordered chicken lollipop and then in Thali we ordered Pomfret, Halwa, Surmai, Prawns sukka and shimpli. All ordered food was good in taste. Though the restaurant is famous for such fish Thalis and mutton/chicken Mangalore style, you can comfortably order Chinese dishes too. Stand out taste out of all dishes was prawns sukka Thali so I would suggest if you are planning to order a lot of fry items do include a Sukka item (chicken sukka, prawns sukka or mutton sukka) bcos they cannot go wrong with this dish Improvement-> 1 feedback I had after finishing bhakri i ordered wade and they said it was not available which was a set back. In menu it was mentioned but on Sunday noon they couldn't provide it.

Visited for dinner. This place has both AC and Non-AC sections. We chose to sit in the former (which is a smaller space). Service is quick and food is very good. We ordered for a mini seafood platter and 2 fish thalis (Pomfret & Surmai) along with Sol Kadhi which was fabulous. I will happily recommend this place for a test of local seafood delicacies.

Maharashtriya fish thali is not even average. I visited this place and got half deep fried pomfret fish thali, I asked them to fry it properly. And most importantly clear them about your frying preference otherwise you will end up disappointed.

If you love seafood, you'll love it here. Try the thalis if you'd like a mix of veggie, roti or chapati, Solkadi, rice and curry along with your choice of seafood. The prawns ghee roast with neer dosa is good too. Prices are quite affordable compared to other seafood restaurants in the city

I have been eating at Sion Lunch Home from past 10-15 years and the taste remains the same. You can have a tummy full experience with varieties of options and for sure you will go home planning what's the next option you gonna eat.

Located very near to sion station within a walkable distance of 2 min. The ambiance is very nice I took the bike hence parking was not an issue but for Car there can be an issue for the parking as the hotel is located at busy street near Sion Station The food was good and the prices were also justified, I actually had veg thali but there were so many options for non-vegetarians too. The service was also good, although not commendable The hygiene was maintained in terms of cleanliness

veg Food was not that good, biryani was also ok ok. Decent service and cleanliness. Its little expensive and populer for non veg food.

This place has some amazing non-veg food to offer. I've been to this place since 2003. The food has always been outstanding. I've only had issues with parking. If you come here on your 4-wheeler, parking might be an issue.

The place serves the best Seafood. Bombil fry, Surmai fry, Pomphret fry and Mutton masala are the best dishes here. You must try their Solkadhi after dinner as it's freshly made n so refreshing. Try their mutton masala with neer dosa. The place is situated exactly next to Sion station(E) n it's always crowded but at max you have to wait for 10-15 mins at peak time. Absolutely recommended...

Had to wait about 20mins to get a table. This is actually a good thing at a seafood restaurant because it means you will get fresh fish. Coming to the taste, its was great and even the service was good for a crowded restaurant. Not too heavy on the pocket. They have a small AC section as well. Car parking is limited but the security guard helps to find a place as much as he can. Toilets are not that great and they should improve. Anyways, worthy of another visit for its taste.

3 stars because merits The food is good has great taste. Service is pretty good too. Many fishes are available ready. Demerits The space provided is very less. So is the table space is very small. The food is slightly overpriced for what is provided. Sea food was good but crab was overcooked and mushy, I'd prefer going for prawns and fish. If you're going with a large family of 6 or more members I'd not recommend the place because it is very compact. Barely space to walk and on the table.

Had a nice quick lunch. Food was fresh and service was quick. Overall a pretty nice place and worth the rate too. Glad I was able to enjoy a nice slice of surmai in mumbai since it's not really that great in most restaurants but Sion lunch home with satisfied my expectations

Best quality and quantity of food. If your crazy about seafood then you must visit or take parcel from here. It's a authentic south Indian non veg restaurant. All seafood are cheap and yummy. Must try.

  • 5/5 Yogesh C. 2 years ago on Google
Delicious food, best for non veg lovers especially those who like fishes. Budgeted hotel and quality is superb. We ordered Surmai thali, Prawns Thali and Chicken crispy. Everything was yummy and tasty.

This place I heard is legendary and quite a hotspot for avid seafood lovers. Been in the scene for a very long time and has a great following amongst the older generation. Tried the Manglorean thali which was really scrumptious. Also orders prawns curry and chicken curry . They all were really great. Personal favorite was the prawn curry. All the catch for dish seemed fresh and would come back for more. Turn up a bit early as it is mostly occupied.

One of the famous food restaurants in Mumbai sion. It is famous for its Non vegetarian food. Had Big size Tanduri pomprate. Size was good fish was fresh and tasty. Also had prawns Thali. Prawn Masala was good. Solkadi was average. Tried wade and Dosa Dosa was thin and tasty. Food is good but high in rates. Restaurants is very tiny with average sitting arrangements but clean. Should visit if love Nonveg.
