Bhagat Tarachand is the name you think when you explore Veg thali in South Mumbai. I am sure it lived up to the experience every time we go out for the special thali. I liked the Papad churi and aamras which are my favourites. Give it a try and definitely visit the original one in the lane near Mumbadevi temple.

The one and ONLY B Bhagat Tarachand you need to visit in the area. Everything else fades in comparison to this one. No need to get confused which BBT is authentic or which one is real. This is the only real BBT as far as we are concerned. Situated next to the Mumbadevi Temple, this place has always been in our hearts and minds ever since I was a kid. Every time we used to visit Mumbadevi Maa for darshan, our next stop has always been this place. Despite all the chaos and rush inherently present in the area, eating their Thali sort of just makes you forget about everything else. We always go for their Special Thali that comes with a wide variety of dishes but you can also order à la carte dishes from the menu and they're just as good. The Thali is something else, though. There's Daal, Chhole, a Paneer dish, a Seasonal Vegetable dish, appetizer, raita, 3 amazing chapatis (for real, nothing beats their butter chapatis), rice/pulao, a sweet, and chhaas. The portion is big enough to satisfy a heavy eater's appetite or can even be shared between people. The Thali is not unlimited in terms of chapatis and rice and maybe even sweets, but you ask for more gravies and daal for sure. The staff is very polite. There's always a rush in the area but you can easily find a seat here since the establishment is about four floors high. Even when it comes to waiting, it's not more than 15-20 mins max. Going on an empty stomach is advisable since eat the thali is a feast. Prices are very reasonable in terms of the size of Thali. I thinks it's about ₹300/- for the Non-AC menu and ₹425/- for the AC menu for Special Thali. Other dishes are reasonably priced as well but seriously though, if you're not here for the Thali then you're here for the wrong reasons. Don't forget to visit the Mandir first. It's right next to the establishment and an added bonus. The Mandir is really delightful and very rewarding if you're a believer. The Prasad you can buy in the Mandir is also crazy delicious. That's a small secret for anyone who had read so far. Do try the Prasad. You won't be disappointed. I recommend going during lunch time for the best experience. If you've read so far, please consider liking if you found the review helpful. Thank you for reading.✌🏻

B Bhagat Tarachand comes under one of the most Oldest Restaurants in Mumbai. It has a Rich history of its own, more than 100 years of tradition, and still going strong. We tried their Special Thali and Churri papad, and I have 2 words for them, Quality and Exceptional Taste. You may find many Pure veg restaurants serving Veg thalis, but they are the Pioneers of Supreme quality Food. Make sure you have the patience to reach here, as its located in a Very Busy place. But the journey is worth the Experience.

Located on first floor. Access is an issue, but location can be identified. There are many restaurants with identical name Bhagat Tarachand. They are of cousins and taste is somewhat similar to each other. I prefer this one i.e. B bhagat Tarachand. Waiting time usually 15-25 mins atleast. 💯% Must try Dal Tadka(Mung Dal). Kachhi Beer (Chass served in Beer bottles) Special desi ghee Chapati and any Paneer subji. The staff serving food are courteous. After food we were served special paan. ♿️No wheel chair access 🚻Washroom is clean 💳💵 cash/credit card/ Qr based payment are accepted.

I visited B Bhagat Tarachand for lunch with a friend. Having heard a lot about the place, I wanted to try out the thali. The thali turned out to be as good as I had imagined. The thali includes Paneer gravy, veg gravy, daal, raita, 3 chappatis / 2 tandoori rotis, pulav / plain rice along with sweet dish and snacks. One can also order the papad Churi or masala Khichiya. The food is made in ghee and the taste is amazing. For desserts, they have Falooda, Halwa and ice creams. Must visit place.

Tried the veg special thali here. All the veggies were nice in taste also they provide you a dessert in that thali, usually its a gulab jamun. If you dont like ghee with chapatis told them not to apply on ur chapati they will serve you the thali in the way which you want. Mostly all gujratis you will get to see here enjoying their veg meal.

Had dal baati and special thali. Dal baati was by far the best in mumbai.. Properly cooked baati , aromatic dal and ghee , garlic chutney and raita were excellent companion. Thali was good too, roti were drenched in ghee, paneer bhurji and pulav were good.. chole could have been better. Warm Moong dal halwa was the best

The Thali costed Rs.315/- and it was average, not worth the authentic taste and the price. It was a limited thali and you cannot share it. Veggies were just average. Sitting was average, ambience was very to extremely crowded. Will go for the other one next time

Hey folks, I visited this restaurant for dinner and tried there special dal batti and it was awesome. I also ate gulab jamun and papad churma. This place is situated in the main market there are three branches but you will get dal bati and B Bhagat Tarachand. This place has Nice ambiance and the food quality is really great, there are many options in the menu. This is complete Veg hotel and really famous all over India. They have branches all over India. Do visit there’s rush so be on time and enjoy the food.

There are lots Bhagat tarachand hotel in kalbadevi but we went to R bhagat tarachand. The food was really tasty and in enough quantity. The price was a little higher but worth it. The hotel was not spacious but you can try once. The speciality here is Dal bati thali. Enough for 2 people.

Must visit this place in Mumbai for sure. They provide the best daal in Mumbai. I’ve been eating here since childhood and take all my guests to this place. Their daal is delicious. You need to go there in advance as it’s always full as location is in shopping area. Must try Churi papad and the daal is must try. Do visit once if you are in Mumbai. Their quality and taste is always maintained.

Best place to have vegetarian food at a moderate pricing. Has a very good ambience in the AC seating. The staff gives you a warm welcome and is very patient with the orders. Food is really tasty and is definitely a must try thing.

Small place in the busy street. There's one more bhagat tarachand just a few shops down. The brand is very famous and recommended, so I was very excited. And it didn't disappoint. I took the thali. The paneer curry was delicious. But the dal, wow it was just too good. I usually skip dal especially when there's paneer in front of me, but I was finding myself reaching out for the dal now and then! The jeera rice was also yummy. Overall a great treat! Price is with the taste. Will be coming back here whenever I get the chance. Totally recommended!!

We went for shopping in the area and asked the salesman where to have lunch. He suggested Bhagat Tarachand and also advised to go to the one starting with 'B', since there are about two three more outlets in the lane with same name but different starting initials. So we reached there, it was full so had to wait for a while. We went on second floor which has ac seating. Ambience was decent with family crowd and offcourse food was delicious. Overall good experience.
