rude treatment to patients not that polite for needy .. wil not recommend to anyone ,, also wil not giv proper time n attention ... bad experiance

I have been stressing for a week about a recent blunt injury to my left eye and visited Dr. Madhusudan Davda after couple previous consultations with confusing diagnosis. I called him Sunday for an appointment and he was kind to answer and listen to me at length and accommodated me the following day despite a packed schedule. He did a great job in allaying some of the fears and spent the longest in examining the retina for any tears or defects. During my consultation a couple things stood out - doctor is very empathetic and explained to me why he usually does not recommend unnecessary tests or procedures that carry minutest of risks unless it is absolutely necessary to do so. After the initial check when I mentioned a previous doctor had diagnosed a retinal tear, he spent no time to re-evaluate my eye just to be sure. Sure enough, nothing came out in the second evaluation too but it showed how open and receptive he is. The most striking thing about my visit was every patient coming out of the doc’s cabin had a smile and I could see why the doctor is highly rated. Looking forward to my next consultation a month from now and hopefully the eye completely heals but Dr. Madhusudan Davda has now become my go-to eye specialist despite the geographic distance.

Dr. Madhusudan Davda is a very good doctor. He is one of the best Retina Specialist in Chembur. He is very simple and gives personal attention to patients. He also gives sufficient time to patient. We can freely interact with him. He knows his work 200%. He is very meticulous and confident. This creates confidence in the patient also. He speaks in 4 different languages so that put the patient can easily explain his problem. He has explained everything in detail in the You Tube videos which is quite informative so the patient is already aware of the problem and its solution in advance. My mother was diagnosed with retinal macular hole. This was something unheard of before. The local doctors literally scared us about this condition saying that the success rate of this surgery was very low and its better not to do it. I firmly believed that if the doctor gives us confidence, the surgery could be successful. Having no other source, I researched on the net and found Dr. Dawda's reviews which were very good and focussed on our problem. I took my mother for consultation and the clarity and confidence of the doctor helped us immediately take the decision about the surgery. She was operated on 14th Oct 19 and her macular hole closed on 22nd Oct. 19 She is doing fine and feeling better. He is genuine, humble and listens to your problems. He does not make you do unnecessary test nor does he frighten you. I had horrible experience with Madhusudan and here it is why: 1. My brother just 24 lost his eye sight due to retina detachment sometime in the last 6 months. Doctor said its beyond repair. I wanted to understand what are the other alternatives and find some way because he has his entire life left to live with low vision in one eye. Madhusudan got offended when i asked him why it cannot be repaired, can it be replaced. He said "You are questioning my knowledge. You are not respecting me. You have no manners to speak". Whereas that was no way my intention to offend him but to only understand what else can we do to help him see. I also told him "I'm sorry if you felt disrespected. You are like God to me". But he didnt seem to get it. He continued to yell how disrespectful i am and did not even talked to my mother on what is the issue, what should be done. He should be able to understand that us common people will have many questions when the doctor will say the eye cant be treated and you will be blind forever. He should understand the concern, empathise with patients family and assume the positive intention behind their questions. He was the best doctor i could find, and that was the reason we visited him, so why would we question his knowledge. If we had any doubt about it, then why would we even visit him. He just assumed the worst behind my question and continued to yell at me and my mother. 2. He asked the patient who has learning disability on his eye concerns. He never asked my mother about it and got the correct facts. My brother who's not so skilled in comprehending and communicating didnt give accurate details and the doctor made his diagnosis based on those facts. He never even listened to my mother on what are the symptoms, history. Such a sad, upsetting behaviour of ranting continously on patients family from such genious mind was really disappointing.
