Awesome place to visit with family and friends. Very much enjoyable place. Almost everyone skips this Second Canon due to mountain road. One can have awesome view of JNVT port from here.

This is a around 10 mins walk from the first cannon point at elephanta. It's bit difficult but the walk is manageble, kids and adults of all age can do it. If you have already reached cannon point 1 you must come here, the view of JNPT and open sea is definitely worth the hike.

Second Canon of the set of two. This one also is a large canon of the British period. Installed by Britishers on this island for offensives. The huge canon was operated by set of machines attached to it which are below the ground. The whole artillery system is still intact but in bad condition due to lack of maintenance and apathy of ASI. Visitors also abuse it and littering the place. A worth visiting place with mix of excitement and disappointment.

A great view of Arabian sea from the top of the Cannon Hill in Elephanta Island. Tough to climb the stairs for older people and childrens, keep drinking water always with you. Less crowded locality, few shops are there on the way, good place for photography. Light is not available so avoid to go in evening or after sunset.

It is quite tough to reach their but it is worthwhile. You will get great view from there and give some time in this place because you will not come back here again. But never think to eat anything here because monkey will attack you in group. And even if have food in your bag monkey will attack you for that.

This is a very big cannon, some told that this was brought by Persian army for their protection from enemy. It is located 10-15 minutes above from elephantas caves. So if you are planning to go here then keep some energy drink or water in your bag.

The Cannon Hill is a historic site located on Elephanta Island. It is a popular tourist destination due to its historical significance and stunning panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. The hill gets its name from the old cannons that were installed here during the Portuguese era in the 16th century. The Portuguese used the island as a strategic outpost for trade and defense, and the cannons were used to protect their interests. The hill also played an important role during the British colonial era. The British East India Company used the island as a naval base and built several structures on it, including a wharf and a hospital. The cannons on Cannon Hill were also used by the British as a defense mechanism during the Anglo-Maratha Wars. Today, Cannon Hill is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike. Visitors can climb to the top of the hill and enjoy stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding areas. The hill is also home to a few small temples and shrines, adding to its cultural and historical significance. In recent years, efforts have been made to restore the cannons on the hill, as they are an important reminder of the island's rich history and cultural heritage. The hill's historical significance, coupled with its natural beauty, makes it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Elephanta Island.

Its a good place to visit while visiting elephanta caves. The path from entrance to lake can be improved. Steep stairs can be difficult to climb for kids
