Just amazing. Hardly half hour ride by metro from ghatkopar. From versova metro station you can get auto or simply walk here in 7-8 minutes. The beach is super clean! Not just the beach, even the water is without any garbage or anything. A big thanks to all the NGO's working towards that! You can enjoy the sunset in peace unlike Mumbai where Street vendors will make it impossible to sit in peace for two minutes. There's no food stalls on beach but there are plenty on the way. There's no foul smell like beaches at Malad side. I did not see any coast guard or police so be careful when you go inside the water. There's proper lighting so you can enjoy till late in the night. Pro tip: You can sit on the sand without any problem but if you are not comfortable or don't want to for some reason then bring something to sit since here there are no vendors to provide you chatai to sit like girgaon Chowpatty. Come with friends, come with family, come with your partner and enjoy but remember not to litter!

It is the cleanest beach I have visited in Mumbai. It is quite a big beach. The sunset view is great. Connectivity is also good as the metro station is nearby.

I still remember coming to this beach few years back. It was dirty. But now the situation has improved a bit. It's crowded most of the times since the busiest suburbs of Mumbai reside close to this beach. The water is not so clean here.

This beach is very famous for its dramatic and amazing transformation from dirtiest ones to visitable. However, still works needs to be done massively, because it is still very smelly. You will enjoy the sunset view, looks very beautiful. Since all the beaches in Mumbai are dirty ones, you will be relieved here slightly. I have seen some poor people diving in the beach, but it is not clean at all to take a bath. But happy to see the transformation.

Versova Beach in Mumbai is a hidden gem waiting to be explored by both locals and tourists alike. Located in the bustling suburb of Andheri, this beach offers a refreshing escape from the city's chaos and provides a unique coastal experience. What sets Versova Beach apart is its distinct charm and relatively less crowded ambiance compared to other popular beaches in Mumbai. The beach's cleanliness has significantly improved in recent years, thanks to dedicated efforts by local communities and environmental activists who have worked tirelessly to clean up the coastline. Walking along the sandy shores, you'll be greeted by the rhythmic sound of waves, creating a soothing and peaceful atmosphere. The beach is also known for its vibrant fishing community, and you can witness fishermen engaged in their daily routines, adding a touch of local culture to the experience. Versova Beach offers the perfect setting for relaxation and contemplation. Watching the sun dip below the horizon during sunset is a magical sight to behold. Additionally, the beach's quieter ambiance makes it an excellent spot for some solitude and introspection. However, it's essential to be mindful of the tides and follow safety precautions while venturing into the sea. While Versova Beach has come a long way in terms of cleanliness, it's vital for visitors to contribute to its preservation by not leaving any litter behind and respecting the natural surroundings. In conclusion, Versova Beach is a serene and picturesque destination that allows you to unwind and connect with nature right within the bustling metropolis of Mumbai. With its improved cleanliness and unique coastal charm, it's definitely worth a visit for anyone seeking a peaceful respite by the sea.

Very very dirty beach. People should maintain this beach. Its really crowded and polluted beach. Wherever you see you will find garbage and rubbish. Otherwise this beach might have been really great.

Beach is nice but too much of water sports . Horse ride and boat ride is ruining the beaches. Please stop this nonsense. Beach is beautiful on its own.

Versova Beach is in the Andheri suburb, and it is the cleanest and among the least visited beaches in Mumbai. Because of occasional strong currents and high tides, swimming in the water is prohibited. However, nothing can stop you from admiring the sunset from the shore on a rather slumber evening. The 3 km long rocky Versova Beach faces the Arabian Sea, and people also visit the place in the hope to capture some Olive Ridley turtles in their lens. Horse-riding and cycling are the other activities available at Versova, apart from satisfying the urges of beach photography. Versova is also known for its fish market. It is the home to Koli people – the oldest fishing community of Mumbai. Things to do at Versova Beach 1. Watching the sunset – Versova Beach provides an unobstructed panoramic view of the Arabian Sea and the golden sun setting in it. Unlike the nearby Juhu Beach, in Versova, the train of your thoughts won’t be disturbed by hordes of food vendors. And you can enjoy aloofness sitting on the rocks. 2. Riding a horse – Horses are available for hire near Versova Beach. And horse-riding is a must-try activity. You can race along the length of the beach while the horse scoops out the sand or ride it on the waves, splashing water on the onlookers. 3. Shopping for fish – The Koli fishing community inhabits one end of the beach, and they go into the sea every morning with their lines and nets. Fishing is their main occupation and the fish market here is among the biggest fish markets. It offers a variety of fishes and sea creatures. 4. Taking photographs – The scenic view and the solitude at Versova Beach attracts many photographers. Some arrive at dusk to capture the golden hues of the sky while others are at dawn to frame the fishers. Snacks vendor by the Versova Rock Beach, giant sailfish in the fish market and the horses gliding across the shore are all the different views, which people click. 5. Checking out Madh island – Madh Island is the home to many fishing villages and you can go there by a short ferry ride from Versova jetty. If you’re there in the evening, you can also enjoy the buzzing nightlife. The island also has the Madh Fort (aka Versova Fort), which is surrounded by the fishing communities today. Many movies and TV shows have been shot at this place.

Beautiful Beqch. Clean.. beautiful and fun full crowd. Not rushy or crowded like Juhu. Surrounding and views are great. Evening sunset view is awesome. Very good Restaurants around. Just 800meters walking distance from Versova Meteo station. Lots of activities like high speed boat, cart and horse rides and off road carting there.

I realized this is one of the few beaches in Mumbai where you can sit quite close to the water because of the high-level dunes/berms with respect to the water splash zone and not get wet. Except for the entrance majority of the stretch is quiet and clean. Unlike Juhu, there are hardly any hawkers but you can enjoy horse and boat rides here. If you prefer a quite and less crowded beach, then this one is highly recommended. Parking for 2W and 4W is also available near the entrance.

Before 5-6 years the versova beach was too durty, it was like dumping yard, stinky. But it's completely different. It was reasonably clean. You can enjoy the sunset, it's really very beautiful over there. You can also some food items like Bhel, chat.

Less crowded beach. Not the best beach in Mumbai. Juhu beach is better in terms of cleanliness. There is slum area just opposite to versova beach. I could see people staying there were polluting water of sea by sending drainage or sewage water. Really disgusting! After seeing that I could not even enter the water. Also whole area smells bad, you may feel nauseated.

Versova beach is the best beach of Mumbai. It's huge and has adventure activities like Jet Ski. We did Jet Ski there and it was adventurous. Jet Ski costed us 200 bucks but try to avoid it after sunset or during rush as they don't do full trips during those time. The beach is clean and it feels great to spend some time there during the evening. Please try to reach there before sunset. Sunset view is amazing. One request to visitors, please keep this beach clean, people have made other beaches their dustbins. They throw everything in beach, chips/ biscuit wrappers, plastic bottles, tea cup and what not. It makes our Mumbai a pathetic place to live in. Please try to keep it clean. This place is great to be with family as well as with your partner, everyone would love it. Beach is something which makes us feel good from inside. Would recommend visiting this place to everyone.

The best part of this beach is that it is comparatively cleaner than rest of the beaches. Moreover it is less frequented by people hence has an air of serenity. The beach has a gentle slope and then runs flat. During high tide, water reaches the edge of the slope. The best time for any beach visit is usually morning or evening, but if you want to take a dip in strong current you may try an afternoon visit. Albeit with fair warning that the waves are pretty strong. There was no warning board, though I noticed a red flag, but don't know it's significance. For beach facilities, you will find none, rather I found none. A run down non operational toilet is there at the entrance. Did see a life guard surf board but no life guard. Few eateries at the entrance (didn't seem hygiene). Noticed horses and horse cart during my evening visit. I still like this beach over the others as it is less crowded and clean

Approx 30 mins by taxi from airport. Beach is just outside hotel. Shops and restaurants are just down the street with plenty of variety. This is a perfect beach for children with plenty for them to do - swimming pools, shows during the day, kids club etc. Everywhere in the place is safe.

Not good... Need maintenance.. don't want to go again..This beach is regarded as an extension of Juhu with a creek that separates both these diverse worlds. Versova Beach is immensely popular for its colorful fishing boats, swimmable water, and breathtaking views of the sunset and sunrise. The beach is also home to the Koli community, which is considered to be one of the largest fishing communities in Mumbai. Several interesting cafes and restaurants are also lined up close to this beach, where you can hop in to have ultimate fun. The locals and tourists alike flock to the sandy shore of this beach, admiring the glimmering cityscape and dazzling water. This beach is relatively smaller than the other beaches of Mumbai, but humongous fish auctions are held daily at this spot. Among the most alluring scenes of this beach is in the morning when the fishermen armed with lines and fishing nets barge into the vast sea to catch fish.
