MUST READ BEFORE GOING. First, the beach is very near to Mandwa jetty. So it makes sense to go by ferry. It is also quite near to Alibag so driving also makes sense for those staying in suburbs or Navi Mumbai. The Beach is nicely lined with palm trees and there are seating benches below the trees which makes the sight quite wonderful. But the beach has black sand and in the evening the water is still like 100 m away from the beach which exposes the black sand covered in seawater. It is like mud which spoils the mood and the photograph. There are also rocks in between but when I went there they were inside the water and only top of these rocks were exposed since the water wasn’t receded that far. So if you’re looking for a perfect isolated beach, this beach is isolated but not perfect. There are couple of other beaches that I know which are isolated and perfect. 1) There is one Beach on the Nagaon stretch. 7-8 Gallis leaving Nagaon. Even on Sundays you won’t find any crowd there. This is an extended stretch of beach and this away from Main crowd of Nagaon. 2) Another isolated and perfect beach is Nandgaon beach. Please mind the name it is Nandgaon and not Nagaon. This beach is 5 km Before Murud Janjira Beach so it’s 1 1/2 hours drive from Alibag itself. But you can definitely get a better deal with a picturesque beach and good home stays. I had high hopes from Awas but was disappointed due to black sand. Please hit the helpful button if it helps you planning your trip, your click will keep my review on the top so that others can also read it. Thanks.

One of the best beaches in Alibaug. Its humongous with clean and clear water and less tourists. Not usually crowded like kihim or alibaug as its not easily accessible and takes around 15-20min from Awas Phata with narrow roads which are in very bad shape at the moment. Its bigger than alibaug city beach. Parking is limited for 4wheeler but u can drive right upto the beach itself. Highly recommended for people who want to skip the crowds and enjoy nature at its best👍 **Dont forget to visit Siddheshwar Temple enroute which will be to the right while coming from Awas Phata.

Very clean and the number of people at the beach is also quite less which is good. No vendors nearby which is the reason it is super clean. There are lots of trees and benches just before the beach starts so you can also some and sit there during the day. We liked it

Beautiful pristine stretch of sandy beach ⛱️. Perhaps one of the widest that I have seen. The sand is so soft that it feels like we are walking on a blanket of candy floss. 🌊 This beach felt like paradise. The horizon seemed to be stitched onto the gentle bobbing waves. When in Alibag, this beach is a must visit!

The beach was not crowded. Since it was cloudy the day we went, we enjoyed some good breeze without the hot sun burning down on us! It was peaceful and we got to see some birds like sea gulls and sandpipers. Those were the good points. However, the sand of the beach seemed to have some oil residue, hence we did not venture into the waters nor did we sit in the sand. There was plastic litter too. Since it was rainy, there were too many greenhouse millipedes along the entrance walls, trees, benches and parking area. It was quite saddening to see a beautiful beach getting slowly destroyed by pollution and negligence. :(

Most peaceful beach at alibaug Clean and less crowded and views best when sun is at dawn One should always visit this beach in alibaug rather than kihim and nagaon beach. It doesn't have any food option or water sports but you can have a quality time here with your friends and family.

Serene, Quiet and Scenic Reaching Awas Beach was quite easy on Google maps. The road is resplendent with typical Konkan styled huts and homes. The road is quite snaky, with twists and turns. There are some temples enroute and recommend to stop at nageshwar temple. The temple is clean and offers peace to one who visits. Once you reach the beach , you will find that it is quite flat and during low tides, it offers quite a space to play beach games. We played a cricket match of 10 overs to each side, and it was quite enjoyable. Not many frequent this place and hence does not have any eateries or people offering snacks or coconut water. So stack up and go. The place is very peaceful and quiet. The beach is very vast and hence it kind of offers you an own space and no one interferes with the others, (as though an unwritten rule). If you have time, you can sit on some of rocks at the end of the shore and can catch some gulls fishing. It is quite a patient wait but once you spot one catch, you will find it is worth the wait. Do visit, if you want to have some peaceful fun.

The Simplicity in this place is wow!! This beach is unpopular beach in alibaug and because of it there is no crowd. So its great to enjoy there is garden for kids, sitting area ,greenary and peace. If your planning to visit this place then keep this as reminder that there is no food stalls over there so you have to carry your foods on your way.

Clean and silent beach great place to hang out with family or friends upto beach you can drive ur car has parking area there , lots of coconut trees surrounded over the beach single lane road to rach there , not so crowed ,romantic and photo genic place in evening , But one thing to menstion Hindu Cemetery is just beside the beach that's why many people avoid or frightened to visit during night.

Awas Beach as you say is a hidden gem on the coast of raigad. The beach is not at all crowded. I visited the beach on Saturday. But even the Weekend the Beach was clear like only 10-15 people were there on the beach. The cleanliness of the beach excited me a lot. As You can in the video the beach is very calm and not at all surrounded by people. The stays also near the beach are high-rated. It was a very nice experience visiting the beach. Awas Beach is a serene and picturesque coastal paradise located in Alibag, a popular beach destination in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. Situated approximately 7 kilometers from Alibag town, Awas Beach is a hidden gem known for its pristine shoreline, golden sands, and tranquil atmosphere. One of the key attractions of Awas Beach is its relatively less crowded and unspoiled nature, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The beach is surrounded by lush greenery and coconut palms, adding to its natural charm and providing ample shade for visitors to unwind and bask in the serenity. Awas Beach offers the perfect setting for long walks along the shore, where you can feel the soft sand beneath your feet and enjoy the gentle sea breeze. The tranquil waters are safe for swimming, making it a great spot for water enthusiasts. While the beach does not have commercial activities like water sports, it is perfect for leisurely sunbathing, reading a book under the shade of trees, or simply gazing at the vast expanse of the Arabian Sea. The mesmerizing sunset views are a sight to behold, casting a golden glow over the horizon and creating a magical ambiance. Awas Beach is a destination that invites visitors to embrace the beauty of nature and rejuvenate their senses, making it a must-visit place for travelers seeking a serene and offbeat coastal experience in Alibag.

A clean beach, less popular as compared to other beaches in the vicinity, and hence less crowded. If you'd like to stay away from crowds and enjoy a relaxing time without the humdrum of human noises, this is the place to visit. There are no shacks, stalls or any water sport activities here. On a clear day, you can even spot the south Mumbai skyline, which is about 15 kms across the sea, in the northwest direction.

Crowded place. Enough space for parking. You can spend a relaxing time here. Trees near the beach are getting chopped day by day which is disturbing. You can see Mumbai coastal part from this beach.

If you like to get away from the crowd on a serene clean beach, Awas beach is the right place to be. There is a small parking area good enough for 8 to 10 cars. Some benches are placed along the beach to watch the sun go down or just relax after a long walk on the beautiful beach. No hawkers or vendors so if you plan for a small picnic do carry your own snacks but remember to take away your garbage and maintain the cleanliness of the place. Unlike other reviewers complaining there was no oil spills or anything od that during my visit. Though this place seems popular for pre-wedding shoots (obviously due it's romantic feel).

Very beautiful and one of the less crowded beach of Alibaug. On the downside there are not too many water activity options available here. There is ample car parking space and a small kids play area under the trees near the beach.

The beach is a lot cleaner than others like alibag, kihim or nagaon. There are a lot of Casuarina(Suru in Marathi) trees which makes the surrounding very pretty. The beach is also comparatively less crowded. If you want to escape the crowds you can walk towards north and cross a small stream to reach the other side (ensure that you do this at low tide, we crossed when the water was hardly above our ankles but just an hour or so later the water level rose to mid thighs). The waves are strong and not really ideal for swimming and the water is not than clean, so we avoided it. There are benches set up facing the beach so its a good spot for catching sunset. Washroom facility was also available for without any charges. There is space to park your car and we were not charged any parking fees.

Only reason of Rating this beach is Peaceful place unlike Kashid beach as it's not a commercial one but you'll find very few people around. Good place for Pre-wedding Shoot, couples privacy, Good for sports activity and Morning Walk. If you have your own vehicle then no worries otherwise reserve an auto in advance for timely pickup and drop as you won't find any auto rickshaw or other public transport.

This could easily be the most clean, serene, least crowded beach of alibaug.Visited early morning, hardly a dozen people on the beach, mostly locals playing football. There aren’t many accommodation options along the way to this beach, seems less popular than the others, hence less humans and less trash!!!

Visited this beach last week. It is not a very popular beach so its quiet and has no vendors, water sports etc. If you want peace and quiet, this is the beach to go to. When we visited, there was just 1 more family and a tonga - no one else. We strolled on the beach for some time and headed back. This beach was a welcome change from the normal beaches which are generally very crowded.

One and only key highlight of our 3 days trip to alibag. This is biggest and most beautiful beach in alibag region. Zero commercial activity and very limited people, you can enjoy the sunset with almost clean and clear looking sand. If you do visit please bring your water/food as there are no vendors and don't litter,it's just a request to leave this beach beautiful for someone else as well. Don't want this beach to turn into something like alibag .
