It was used to be a camping spot for us few years ago.. now many alcoholic people come here during night and they have polluted this place. We used to camp here but now we have stopped due to these "Bewade loka" Reaching here is easy task. A tar road takes you till the wall of tungarli lake. Just 5-10 mins drive from Lonavla railway station. You can even walk till here from station.Just follow the Rajmachi trekking route. There are few eateries here but they are open only on weekends. People of Lonavla usually come here for morning walk. This place is best to visit during early monsoon phase. You can witness many fireflies. Once we saw a tree fully covered with fireflies here. Don't come here alone after sunset. It is not safe. There is no provision of parking. You need to park your vehicle just lying outside the road. Be cautious while walking near that old building structure.. there are many snakes in the jungle nearby. You can see a beautiful sunrise just behind that small hill. And also sunset can be seen opposite to it😍 *DONT THROW YOUR GARBAGE AND PLASTIC ITEMS HERE, ALREADY THIS PLACE IS A MESS*

A nice place to sit and chill. The view is good and peaceful. However the ralling on the way towards the lake should be looked at from a safety perspective. Worth going with friends and chilling!

Wonderful place, the 600 meter uphill road to reach the place is a narrow one and might cause some delay, traffic jam, for some time. We could complete 600 meters in 15 minutes in a car....from safety point of view, the lake dam wall has grills only on short span of wall. Also, at few locations it is deep at the shore itself...

This place is too good.. It's a little inside of Lonavala and if you want to visit the dam you need to park the car and walk a little but just for the lake you can take the car a little further and then you can visit the lake directly. It's a really beautiful place to chill and hangout with friends and family. They have small eateries serving Maggi, water, corn etc. But people litter a lot that is a problem.

Tungarli lake one of the quiet scenic spot to enjoy your day, Tungarli Lake is the spot you can rely on. Located just outside Lonavala, the still, clear and deep waters of this lake offer a serene and romantic ambience during monsoons. You can relax and unwind under the lush green surroundings while the peace instils in you. It is an awesome place for those who are looking to take a break from routine. It is ideal for couples and also for people seeking alone time to blend with the natural environment. Tungarli Dam lay nearby this attraction and provides a panoramic view of Rajmachi hills. You get plenty of food options in Tungarli Village. However, it is advisable to pack your essentials while trailing this place. Weekends get crowded here. The best time to enjoy here is December or January as the lake dries up by March-end

Tungarli Dam is a beautiful reservoir that serves as a water source for the region. The dam is surrounded by lush green hills and offers a picturesque view. The area around Tungarli Dam is known for its natural beauty and tranquility. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk along the dam, soak in the scenic surroundings, and capture stunning photographs. The dam provides a peaceful ambiance and is a great place to relax and unwind.

A very quiet and wonderful place to be. Water is clean. BE careful as the lake gets very steep a few feet from the shoreline.

A nice place to visit..had been in this place in the month of Feb..though it was hot, there was a cool breeze which was refreshing. It can be called as a photographer's paradise but the sad part is that the place is littered with beer bottles broken and cigarette packets dumped just near the water..you have to be very careful while walking..ideal place for a day picnic but need to carry your own food and water as there are no shops nearby for the same..not advisable to go into the water as it is very deep and you might come across locals who will warn you if they see you entering into the lake..very very calm a if you are ready to ignore all the broken pieces of bottles and cigarette packets littered, this is one of the best places to visit in Lonavala..cheers✌️

This place is definitely one of the best places in Pune to relax. Of course it is not in the city but few hours have to travel from the main city either by train or private vehicles. But I promise you won't regret for visiting this beautiful place. You can swim, you can fish, you can make fire near the lake. There are different steps with different ponds.

It's more of a pond than a lake. We visited in Feb 2021 and there was hardly any water left. However its secluded and way less crowded than the other tourist spots. We visited again in the evening and this time around it was soaked in tranquility. We literally saw the 'moonrise' as mentioned by a couple passing in the shadows. We were the only ones left after a few mins and were able to play music of our choice. We sat and chatted for an hour in this immensely relaxing atmosphere.

Beautiful peace of heaven on rainy days! We visited this place early in the morning and trust me it was like out of reality with fog, cold soothing breeze and few rain drops showering. The lake is a beautiful piece of nature too. I would not recommend you to have eatables on the local stalls around here as they charge Γ— 4 the price.

I recently visited Tungarli Lake with my friends, and it was a beautiful experience. The lake is surrounded by lush greenery and offers stunning views of the mountains. The atmosphere is serene, and it's a great place to escape the city's hustle and bustle. We had a picnic by the lake and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The area is clean, and the authorities have taken good care of the place. Overall, it's an excellent spot for a relaxing day out with friends and family. I would highly recommend visiting Tungarli Lake.

It's actually the best view point at lonavala and it's nearby attractions. This was my first time here and it's just too good , take a long walk on a road full of fog and greens. Eat pakodas with chai from local overpriced . Perfectly photogenic spots and mesmerising views all over and around the location. Crowd is also limited as not many people visit here. Drive here is difficult as the road is too narrow & isn't maintained at all.

Tungarli lake is situated at one of the highest peak in lonavala. One can get good view of entire lonavala while on the way to tungarli lake. Lake water is clean. Must visit in monsoon and post monsoon. No shops around for snacks or bottle of water. So carry things that you need. Also, there's a temple called shree balumama temple ahead of this lake. One should visit lake from that end( from temple). Mobile networks are weak over here. Just follow that single road that leads to temple and you would end on beautiful view of the lake.

Very calm place in Lonavala. If you want to relax from routine schedule and don't want usual rush like other tourist places Tungarli lake is a good option you have. 2 to 3 km from main road Lonavala market but little bit confusing, please take help of local people for route instead of relying on Google map. No food options available near lake.

The lake was serene and peaceful. Close to Lagoona Resort, this is a must visit for all tourists who come to Lonavala. We were lucky to go there just as the sun was setting. The atmosphere was cool and surroundings were comparatively clean. Tungarli is more scenic than Bushi dam. Go there if you have the time.

Beautiful place during the monsoons. We visited in July last week. There is motorable road which takes one towards the dam which is located uphill. Fortunately it wasnt crowded. We preferred walking up towards the dam and saw people who were driving struggling to navigate the small road. One can also do a small trek on the hill surrounding the dam. Monsoons are really magical here.

Very secluded place. Not at all crowded. There was a steep climb to reach this place with a single lane road, making it a bit difficult for four wheelers specially when there is oncoming traffic. But the view was worth the climb. There is limited parking space and only 1 vendor selling tea and maggi
