A village area in nerul.

Very very dirty and small lake near joggers park. Not maintained. Dumping of kachra near by there by municipal. A bad smell spread all over. No birds are found as claimed. Mangrove tree are here. Not a visiting place. Some people are found who feed the fish. Near adani electricity is there which is well maintained. Should not visit .

Historically it was a good wetland site but due to concepts of modern development it is now converted into a badly managed water tank which is a place for dumping garbage. But you can see a good variety of birds with some butterflies. It is few minutes away from Seawoods-Darave station. The local authorities have transformed this good site into a hell-like place. Every year Ganesh visarjan make this pond much dirtier.

Awesome place to relax out there.

The beautification drive of Karave Pond by NMMC was a welcome step. It was argued that the marine diversity, migratory birds, environmental beauty etc being affected. But lot of locals used to enjoy the new pond having a different look. The entry from the Ganesh Temple side to centre being located with many iron bars and the view from the centre was an experience. The pond and the park to be properly maintained and security measures were required.

The lake is filled with filth. Plastic bags, beer Bottle .. the lake is about 5 Acre .. and u can spot some ducks swimming , kites, the place is bit secluded area and Police does regular round up

Superb natural lake preservation now depends on local residents and guardians of the environment.

A lake at a stones throw from my house. I go there for my evening walks. Lots of birds come to the lake, Egrets, herons and kingfishers are a common sight, many nature lovers and bird photographers hang around in the mornings and evenings.

It's really nice place for birding...there are so many birds like Spot-billed duck, Common Kingfisher, Pond Heron, Cormorant, Common Coot etc.

Nice peaceful & tranquil place. The lake is full just after monsoons, but it starts drying from September end. By the time June brings the rains again, the floor of the lake is seen at several places. You get to c a host of birds like Water Hen, Egret, Comorant, goose, kite, kingfisher & more are fairly easily seen. But people's greed for divine help has fairly spoiled the place. U can c a lot of bread slices at the edge of the water. People throw slices of bread in the lake to feed the fish, but not all of it is consumed, a lot of it is washed to the edge of the water, where not even the tiny fish explore.
