I had a wonderful time at Soderare Resort. There are infrastructures in the resort that need to be improved. Street lighting etc. The resort needs renovation. Unlike other classes, VIP classes are separate. The natural hot springs are cool and pleasant.

Long drive to the outskirt of the city with expectations of magical moments ?not really since a naturally gifted place such as like sodere should provide more and inclusive attraction to be called as a resort or entertainment gateway. To mention a few...kids play areas, animal feeding ,horror rooms, sling shot, mountain climbing, challenging games, snow sliding etc since the owner is a billionaire and can afford to do so

Most beautiful resort in terms of the best nature has to offer. The hot springs are the best. The rooms are old but the staff are the most accommodating and helpful and kind. Carry walking shoes and your sense of adventure to explore the places. If you can do the hot springs at night before you sleep. The food at the restaurants are not the best but you can carry your own food if you are particular about it.

This location is close to Addis Ababa, and the weather is fantastic. You can unwind by the hot spring water. Take use of your time there.

Sodere is a spa town in central Ethiopia. Located approximately 25 kilometres south of Adama and 120 kilometres southeast of Addis Ababa in the Misraq Shewa Zone of the Oromia Region, this town has a latitude and longitude of 8°24′N 39°23′E with an elevation of 1466 metres above sea leve, The place is part of heaven but needs to many maintenance and the services are so poor , the place could be one of the best natural resort . Still I enjoyed it and had fun .

It is very wide and is very hot I personally don't like heat it is also difficult to get from one place to another it's far that we need to use our own cars and there is no a delivery to our room we must go ourselves to bring anything we want at least there must have been a small car to deliver things to our room but the heat can't be regulated as it is a natural phenomenon But even if we wanted to cool our selves everything is hot (the shower ,hand wash especially around the eating areas

Its natural hot spring water, hot, low, savannah dry grassland. There are friendly monkeys and apes. The rooms are also neat, the swimming pool hot and clean. The flowing showers gives a wonderful wash and massage. For quite, and undisturbed days off, Sodore is highly recommended. The place is also friendly for kids, fsmily and friends. Safe and secure.

Bad hotel when we first came in the rooms they weren’t even done cleaning after waiting 40 minutes they finally finished but the tv didn’t even work and there was no AC it was smoking water didn’t work and there wasn’t Wi-Fi so we basically did nothing besides go to the pool the water was dirty but the pizza was surprisingly good (one of the only good things about the resort) there wasn’t much options in breakfast and it was the worst hotel stay of my life I really recommend you not to come here.

Sodere: spa town in central Ethiopia. Located approximately 25 kilometres south of Adama and 120 kilometres southeast of Addis Ababa, this town has a latitude and longitude of 8°24′N 39°23′E with an elevation of 1466 metres above sea level. Sodere lies alongside the Awash River and features lush, shady vegetation. Vervet monkeys  and  Warthogs live on the resort grounds.  Crocodiles and, less frequently, hippos may be seen in the nearby Awash River.

It's very good event Note dont forget to bring swimming pants shoes. It's better to come with friends or family three or more . If you want to use close locker you have to pay 100 or 150birr and collateral reternable 300birr

The rooms were entirely too hot. It’s all most like the weather out side should have been the temperature inside the rooms. If you go there, bring your own shower gear. Just getting toilet paper for my Father-in-law who is 67 was a hassle. Don’t go there unless you love Dubai weather in your room while you sleep 🤦🏽‍♂️

Great family-friendly place to enjoy days off. The hot spring allows the pool and all other water related places at sodere to be warm. The main pool area maybe slightly crowded on weekends but they have about 3 pools in total, so you can choose. One of the pools does require an extra fee to enter though. The other main spots here are called abadir and mehaberawi. They have natural hot spring water coming through and there are male and female sections for both. There are a lot of rooms scattered throughout the property. Some with normal mountain views and some facing the awash river. There are also multiple shops where you can buy any swimwear and related gear. Beware of monkeys though as they try to steal food and whatnot, so make sure to have your belongings in sight and your close car doors.

Sodere was a very green shaded place to hangout. Nowadays the trees are çutdown making the resort look like a desert up to the pool. The rooms are not what you pay for. Some have leaks others, the outlets dot work. The breakfast buffet is a shame. It has an underwhelming choices. When you go to pick up your plate, the staff(some of them) look at you like they are giving you a free meal. The place has no ownership. Everyone does as they please. Over all my experience was displeasing and I never want to spend a night here again.

Beautiful place with natural hot spring swimming pools, baths, waterfalls and natural hot spring basins to enjoy. Many believe the waters have healing powers due to their natural mineral content. The place is in a beautiful valley with beautiful bungalows of different sizes and shapes from family sized ones with a few bedrooms to the single rooms, several restaurant and bars in its sprawling premises, great massage and treatment areas with professional caretakers. The great Awash river that flows along the resort is a sight to behold and to enjoy fishing in, with prize catches that can be bbqed on site. It was undergoing a revamp by its new managers so will go back to see the changes which are promising to make the place even better.

(Translated by Google) I struggle to understand why this place has such high reviews. Is it possible that they are true? In my opinion, no! First of all, to charge a hundred birr apiece just to get in to ask for information is unheard of. For 1,500 birr, the room looks like this: - a crazy hot, boiling, at least 40 degrees - no refrigeration or ventilation and no mosquito nets on the windows - various insects, geckos, hairy spiders - to our complaints the only solution proposed was to fill the room with insecticide sprays In light of this, we quickly ran away. Recommended to your worst enemy (Original) Faccio fatica capire perché questo posto ha le recensioni così alti. Possibile che siano vere? Secondo me, no!

Beautiful destination, 60birr to enter on a weekday and 800birr to sleep, massage available, as well as the natural hot springs swimming pool, don't miss the showers 10 minutes walk up from the main pool as the whole sight lacks signs and look out for the monkeys!

  • 1/5 Raniya T. 4 years ago on Google
The rooms had no towels even. There's no room service at all. They don't even have phones to communicate with the reception. There are a lot of mosquitoes and no nets are provided to you for protection. The pools are warm so you can have a nice dip if you like. The showers however dont work and are very filthy. One cant even change his or her clothes there. I didn't enjoy the breakfast either. There arent a lot of options in the buffet in the first place. For instance, the eggs were cold n flavourless and the milk was very dilute, barely tasted like milk at all. All in all, the place has good potential but it needs a lot of work and devoted staff.
