Great campsite, very relaxed and we enjoyed that the pitches were not strictly organised and plenty of space per pitch to yourself. Had a wild camping feel but with option for hook up. Owner Ian was a delight to speak to, dry humoured and made us feel very welcome. Has options of compost toilets and also portaloos, hot shower was free of charge and very clean. Had a few drinks with some neighbour campers and had a great night! All the best

Stayed for the night, myself, daughter & dog. Very relaxed, Ian was extremely welcoming and the steps he has taken to become self sufficient were impressive! This is an away from it all experience, has great free showers, compost toilets & kitchen if needed. We were able to park the van where we wanted and had a lovely area all to ourselves. If you are pitching with tent there is an abundance of places here you can pitch up either within the grounds or within the woods with the water close by. A short stroll to the woods and the water, which was lovely to explore with the dog.

We stayed for 3 nights had a fantastic time, staff were friendly and helpful when needed had a little trouble getting hold of staff but as its a working farm that's understandable. Proper camp site for real experience so don't expect glamping will definitely be going again

My family of 4 and my brothers family of 6 camped here for a week. It was a great experience. As close to wild camping as you can get, with the luxury of a shower, electric and a fridge. We absolutely loved our experience here and will hopefully be visiting again

Campsite owners are absolutely amazing 🀩 booked me in very last minute, then came to my rescue after I managed to get stuck in a ditch on the lane up to the site! πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ™„πŸ˜€crap road but can’t rate the site and owners enough πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ€©peaceful, all facilities catered for! Definitely returning with the family sometime ☺️

Lovely campsite that I wouldnt class as basic but rather beautiful. Ian greets guests and will politely go through everything from the toilets- either compost or portaloo, kitchen area and free shower facilities. I didnt use the shower, kitchen or portaloos but the compost toilet was very well maintained and very clean! Ive seen dirtier toilets in bars and supermarkets! You can choose either the field or woodland area to camp. I chose the woodland and bought a sack of wood (Β£6) for a fire. I dont think ive ever had such a relaxing and peaceful camp- only stayed for one night but I'm already trying to plan another stay at the lone wolf campsite. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and want to get away from everything then this campsite is for you, if youre after a yurt with electric hook up, chilled sparkling water on constant supply and someone to clean up after you then keep looking this lovely set up will not be for you!

Picked a woodland camping option. There is an option to camp in a field near the facilities. Essentially it is wild camping with basic facilities (Small kitchen area with a fridge and microwave as well as charging points. There are hot showers available and portaloos and a compost toilet which is well maintained.) Pay attention to the website information as this may not be suitable for some. But we love the site. Neath town centre is 10 minutes away and the site does have a 5g signal.

Stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it. The site is off the beaten track and tucked away in woodland, really great location. Ian the owner was great and sent info beforehand on what to expect/how to find the place and was very friendly and welcoming. There are toilets and free showers and a kitchen area where you can wash up/charge phone/use kettle and we were able to have a fire, perfect for us. Would recommend. Thanks Ian.

Nice peacefull campsite, you can wild camp but there are facilites there to use if you so wish. A stroll in the woods and by the stream is a pleasent experience with nature. Ian the host is a great character and makes you very welcome. Good value for your money i thought

The best campsite I've visited in Wales. If you love wild camping but don't want to risk being moved off in the middle of the night, or if you just want the convenience of drinking water and toilets, this is the place for you! Beautifully secluded, idyllic location, I can't rate the place high enough! I will be coming back time and time again!

Really enjoyed our second visit to Lonewolf campsite. We found a lovely peaceful spot in the woodland down by the river. Ian the owner was a friendly chap who was honest and upfront about the facilities (porta loos/ compostable toilets). Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Lovely place returned again as we enjoyed this place the first time we came here. Ian the owner explains everything to you that you need to know. There are even wheelbarrows available to help you get your stuff you bring with you to where you decide to pitch up. Places here for everyone by the river and away from the river its your choice. There is also the option to buy fire wood from the owners at a good price to . There are two options with the toilets here to conpostable and portaloo There is also a hot shower area around the back of the toilets . Also a kitchen area with kettle and microwave so you can pop up there to warm up food if you would like to there is a fridge there to. Really enjoyed and will defffintly return again thanks Ian 😊

Perfect wild camping experience. Really friendly owner. We stayed in the forest next to the river and it was Heavenly. We Can't wait to stay again! Only for people who like true wild camping although the owner has a lovely set up in his yard for you to use toilets /shower and some cooking equipment the real purpose of this site is to enjoy the freedom of the forest πŸ˜‰

Just what we needed, turned up last minute in a van with RTT, the owner was very helpful, we picked our spot in the field, very quiet just a bit of road noise. Beautiful well kept field with hard standing, electric if necessary, kitchen with plugs and hot water on tap. We had our own facilities but could have used the ones on site. Woke up to the sound of a donkey and a cockerel! Would definitely return. Thank you.

Just spectacular. This is my favourite campsite I've ever visited. 15 acres of beautiful woodland, pitch a tent where you please. Choosing where to pitch is a lot of fun - we were down by the stream, and it was great to hear the water flowing. There are facilities up at the entrance by the car park, toilets, a warm shower, sink to wash up. But this is a spot primarily to get back to nature a bit. Scavenging your own fire wood is great fun (although you can buy some or bring your own if you wish). Very friendly and helpful owner / manager - Ian even helped me change a flat tyre. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

I love this place! Have been with wild camp groups, staff and the children. Wild camp experience with the safety of not been moved on! I love how basic it is and the setting is stunning. The owners are friendly and helpful and leave you to it! My fav place to camp

A lovely area with great views wish we could of stayed longer but the rain meant we couldn't have an open fire for the second day. We are planning a dry week visit in the future. Would definitely recommend for wild camping lovers

This is a beautiful spot, sheltered pitches nestled in woodland and along a river. Friendly and informative welcome. Facilities are basic as expected from a β€œwild” camping site, but clean and well maintained with hot water. Will definitely be returning.

Wow what an incredibly special place to camp! Stunning woodland campsite with pitches spread out throughout the wood so feels very private and tranquil. Short walk uphill to the facilities - simple but functional compost or portaloo toilets, hot shower and kitchen with small fridge and microwave and place to wash up. Took our two young kids and they loved it, perfect place to relax and play on nature. Fell asleep to the noise of the stream and woke to the dawn chorus. Ian the owner welcomed us on check in and even helped to change our tyre when we left. Thanks so much for an amazing site, we can't wait to return next year!

Absolutely love this place. For me and my family it's the perfect place to camp. In the woods next to a river sitting by a campfire. Heaven!!

Great campsite in many ways. Those who want the true nature experience can enjoy that over the railway tracks and nestle in along the river banks in true wild camping style, which looks idyllic where it is much quieter and I guess starry night skies. Whereas for groups or those who want easy access to their vehicles, then there is a central part next to the entrance building where the amenities are located, however, the long bumpy road to the campsite runs parallel with the A-road which is clearly audible, certainly wakes you up in the morning. The group side allows people to play music and have communal campfires. Whereas the wild camping side is quiet but access across the railroad means carrying all your gear. The amenities are basic but all is there necessary. There is a fridge, only one shower, though it appears not to hold everyone up. Toilets are a mix of portaloos and plumbed in. Great location for access to the back of the Brecons, unfortunate it so near to the A road for those staying in the group campsite.

My first time here and absolutely fell in love. You have a choice of spots in the thick of the woodland, all beautiful. Fires allowed. To hear the stream and sounds of nature in such a beautiful setting was just wonderful. Site very relaxed and owner a great guy, very generously helping my friend who had a flat tyre. Some basic facilities including a hot shower but the real charm of this place is the outdoors. Looking forward to going back again already. Thank you Lone Wolf!

We love the lone Wolf Campsite. We visit a couple of times a year for the last few years. Always stay in the field as our family tent is just too big to drag down the woods but when the kids are older I'll be booking my stay down there. Love the fact we can have a campfire and just chill out away from tech and the world.

Really cant fault this place on our first visit. Simply stunning here and so serene. We loved every minute of our wk end stay. Also a big shout out to Ian. Not only for his hospitality but for also getting us up and running on Sunday morn, when we had a flat battery on the car. Massive thanks. You will be seeing us again, very soon. Cheers again Ian.

We came back here this year as we love the surrounding area and this site so much. Great choice of pitches with great secluded areas to choose from. Henry the campsite owner is so lovely, helpful and friendly. Will be back next year!

Great campsite. Ian the owner was so accommodating. For camping in the woods, or caravan/campervan in the field the place is just amazing. Facilities are good, maybe basic but we'll maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay.

Lovely place with a very friendly owner. It was a pleasure to sleep in a quiet place and listen water and birds. Ian (the owner) helped with a sack of dry firewood so it was a wonderful time

We came here after a long hike and we were greeted by the owner (Ian) who explained everything to us in detail both in emails beforehand and when we arrived. The facilities are plentiful, clean and well-maintained and the work that Ian has put into the location is admirable. There are no set pitch areas and you are welcome to pitch wherever you like. Additionally, for a small charge you can buy firewood and kindling if you don't fancy bringing your own. Overall a brilliant site. I'd love to come back someday :)
