Absolutely love this place. Walk in from goytre lanes and come to this most beautiful scenic spot. I could spend hours just sat here admiring the beauty.

Tucked away in the hills above Maesteg this reservoir can be reached by following a good path alongside the river outflow. The climb up to the top of the dam is short and steep but worth the effort.

Pure nature excursion from modern life. Not a sight of industry or buildings. Just the sounds of wind in the trees, birds in the sky and a clear calm reservoir.

What a fascinating place, absolutely beautiful. Perfect walk, plenty of paths to take to look around the area!

Don't tell too many people about this magical place! Great place to bring the dog and enjoy the beautiful peaceful sanctuary of this Reservoir. Limited facilities but that's what probably makes it even more special.

Lovely ride on the bike through Bryn forestry, roe deer running through the path ahead of us.

Apart from the flies while walking through the forest...it was a rather nice walk...I would suggest making a day of it and visiting both res's and if you got time squeeze margam Res in aswell .
