We
went
to
punjab
grill
in
sector
29,
gurugram.
The
food
and
service
by
waiters
was
fine.
But
when
the
bill
came
they
put
a
service
charge
of
10%.
I
asked
to
remove
this,
as
service
charge
is
upto
the
customer,
and
the
waiter
agreed.
Sometime
later,
a
man
in
a
suit
(probably
their
manager)
comes
to
us
saying
sir
you've
asked
us
to
remove
service
charge?
I
reply
yes.
He
then
starts
insulting
us,
starts
talking
rudely,
making
smirks
and
says
that
youve
come
to
such
an
upscale
place,
and
that
10%
service
charge
is
not
a
big
deal.
It
is
paid
to
waiters
and
cleaners
in
the
hotel.
I
said
arent
they
paid
salary?
Service
charge
is
nothing
but
tip
and
is
completely
voluntary.
He
then
starts
misbehaving
and
saying
that
we
will
have
to
pay
the
service
charge
no
matter
what.
We
then
had
to
pay
it
anyways,
and
while
leaving
he
makes
a
rude
hand
gesture
to
leave
the
premises,
and
nobody,
not
the
waiter
or
even
the
doorman
greet
us
while
leaving.
This
is
pathetic
service
for
such
an
expensive
restaurant
where
even
an
indian
bread
is
100+.
Completely
dissatisfied,
and
will
not
be
returning
to
this
place
ever
again.
Our
evening
was
ruined
by
this
manager.
Waiters
were
nice,
but
there
is
a
need
to
take
action
against
this
manager.
