was a great experience to visit this temple.. its a bit inner more away from the town and the way could be a little narrow but its beautiful to drive and peaceful to be there.. the road is smooth and curvy and lot of fun to drive... must go for the pleasure of driving and also to find the inner peace.. rainy season would be the most suitable time to go.. :)

Temple enthusiasts - this is a place for you! A serene, well maintained temple in a beautiful surrounding overlooking the hills built in older architecture and yes, one of the few temples which can give you that auspicious feeling of a visit to temple. Overall a must visit temple for all!

Such a wonderful feeling while walking in the temple. Many of my cousin's and relative marriages took place here. The office opposite the temple is an old kerala style house converted and it gives a good Nostalgic feel. There is a big pond in the front where we can bathe. The scenery from the pond is amazing with the trees and the mountains reflected in the water. The Nelliampathy and Seetharkund mountains are visible from the pond with lots of green trees and paddy fields around.

One of the best temples I have visited. Very serene and calm place beneath the western ghats. Beautiful scenic place. Nature bestowed it's beauty to the full extent here. Just see the sky on a clear day morning, with white cotton like clouds. The Deity is four handed Narayana on Adisesha. They follow the rituals very seriously such as seeveli, offerings etc.. The architecture is a real beauty to see, the circular shaped sreekovil with enough space around. There is a nice pond in from of the temple, which has separate ghats for gents and ladies. You can get mouth watering prasadams from the counter, if available. Parking facilities are plenty in front of the temple. Google map keeps you to the destination properly.

One of ancient temple in Kerala situated in South eastern Palakkad, in Chittur Taluk. Vishnu temples are comparatively less in numbers in the area. The temple is in a scenic place which is in midst of fields and valley of western ghats. Weekend attracts few devotees otherwise it's of almost no crowded place. You can visit for its beautiful surrounding even if you are not a devotee. It is easily accessible by car and have ample parking. Timing is given in picture

A serene place, a centuries old temple believed to be built by Kashyapa Muni. Located near Kollengode, the famous beautiful village in Palakkad district. The sreekovil is built in vattambalam style (temple in circle shape) with beautiful mural arts covering acts in SreeRamayana. A masterpiece of architecture.

Wonderful ambience! Peace and serenity all around. Beautiful view of the mountains and lovely people in the vicinity! The temple in itself is a grand structure and a vision! Highly recommended.

Visited this temple, the calmness, serenity and pious atmosphere that prevails here calms the mind. It's nestled in the foothills of the Western Ghats and seems as though these imposing mountains are protecting the temple. The statue of Lord Vishnu seated on the serpant is a rare sight as one gets to see only the Ananthashayanam posture often. The architecture ,circular in shape is very beautiful and on the outer walls of the temple are depicted the Ramayana in murals. Was however saddened to see that quite a few of them have been blurred beyond recognition.Hope they are restored to bring back the original drawings. The temple pond too is huge and well maintained. If in Palakkad,I would strongly recommend that you don't miss a visit to tjis ancient and beautiful temple.

An ancient Mahavishnu temple. Here the main diety is wooden diety. He blesses his devotees alongwith his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi. The temple's ambience is very serene and hosts lots of mural paintings on the temple's inner walls. Opposite to temple there's aTravancore Maharaja's small palace and a temple pond.

A must visit Maha Vishnu temple. Very ancient temple with all religious practices still being continued. Said to be atleast 1500 years old. Beautiful location amidst mountains and lakes. A hidden gem from civilisation.

Well decorated. Like any other Kerala temple , the rules and restrictions are the same. Clean enough to visit. One hidden intersting fact- while praying , you need to stand at acute angle to inner temple main door and see the worship proceedings via mirror.
