Very beautiful place😍. I reached there by KSRTC bus (Nelliyampathy ഉല്ലാസയാത്ര ) which started from palakkad KSRTC bus stand. We started journey at 7am and reached Nelliyampathy at 9am. When we reached at AVT tea plantations I feel that is this Nelliyampathy or Munnar🤩. This beautiful place is full of viewpoint. If you have luck you can see some wild animals such as Lion-tailed macaque(സിംഹവാലൻ കുരങ്ങ്), Mountain squirrel (മലഅണ്ണാൻ), peacock, etc... And 100% monkey. But summer is not a best time to visit here. If you have any doubts kindly ask😇

Nestled amidst the stunning Western Ghats of Kerala, the Nelliyampathy Forest Reserve is a nature lover's paradise. As an avid traveler, I had the privilege of exploring this breathtaking haven, and it left an indelible mark on my soul. The journey to Nelliyampathy is an adventure in itself, with winding roads that reveal panoramic vistas at every turn. Upon reaching the forest reserve, I was immediately captivated by the lush greenery, mist-covered hills, and the symphony of diverse flora and fauna. The forest trails offer an incredible opportunity to connect with nature. As I embarked on a trek through the reserve, I was greeted by the melodious calls of birds, the rustling of leaves, and the occasional glimpse of wildlife. It felt like stepping into a realm untouched by time. One of the highlights of Nelliyampathy Forest Reserve is its majestic waterfalls. As I stood before the cascading waters, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and reverence. The sheer power and beauty of nature were on full display, leaving me humbled and inspired. The serenity of Nelliyampathy is truly therapeutic. The tranquil ambiance, coupled with the fresh mountain air, rejuvenated my mind, body, and soul. It provided the perfect escape from the chaos of everyday life, allowing me to reconnect with myself and find inner peace. I must also mention the warm hospitality of the locals in Nelliyampathy. Their genuine smiles and friendly nature made my experience even more memorable. Their love for the land and dedication to preserving its beauty is truly commendable. In conclusion, Nelliyampathy Forest Reserve is a hidden gem that deserves to be explored and cherished. It offers a sanctuary for both nature enthusiasts and weary souls seeking solace. Whether you're an adventure seeker, a photographer, or simply someone who appreciates the wonders of the natural world, Nelliyampathy will leave you spellbound. Don't miss the chance to experience this slice of paradise for yourself.

Nelliyampathy is an excellent place for a one day or two day trips. There are some resorts are there for who want to stay there. Mainly two places are most visited by the tourists, one is kesavanpara and another is seethargund view point. These two are excellent places to visit with family. There are some another places are also there for visiting. If you planning for a one day trip, then these two are very much selectable. The pothundi dam also in the way to nelliyampathy. We can also add that to our itinerary.

Nelliampathy hills is a most beautiful place. The valleys, mountains, and rock structures are so good. Best time to visit is in winter season and be careful about the hairpin curves.

The forest is open from 7 am to 4 pm everyday. People who are interested, can take the jeep safari ride. There are lots of beautiful viewpoints with great views, like the Seethargund viewpoint, Kesavanpara viewpoint etc. The place has many restaurants and many of them offer food at a cheaper rate. You get tea, coffee and bottled drinking water also. If you have a two wheeler, it is a bliss to ride to the place and the viewpoints. Note that there's no petrol pump in the place though you get to buy petrol there. I'm not aware of the cost though.

BREATH TAKING HILL STATION Hlo friends today I am going to review about Nelliyampathi. It is a HILL STATION located near kalkkatty in nenmara of palakkad district. It was my first trip with my husband. This is a romantic place to visit with our loved ones. The climate of this place gives a romantic feel.It is a long hairpin turn road with dense forest on the sides. The height of the hills is from 467m to 1572m.This is a tourist destination lieying between the borders of two neighbouring states.some rivers are originated from these hills. All tourists places in nelliyampathi is with hillstation. The cultivation of Orange, tea and coffee is more in nelliyampathy. The tourists attractions of these place is Dams, Teak wood forests, view point, waterfalls, peaks then Tea and coffee plantations. After the drive from nenmara town by enjoying the road beauty of hill station we reached the pothundi dam.it is located in the pothundi village. This dam opened the door the nelliyampathi peaks. The water of the dam is used for irrigation and drinking water to near panchayaths. We can find varieties of fish in the dams fisheries reserve.Like- carp, mrigal, rohu, catla and more others. The dam is surrounded with the Government teak wood forest. A river is passing through the forest named Gayathripuzha. It is the second largest river of Kerala. And other side of the dam irrigation has doned. We spend there more than 2hours.our next aim is to visit seetarkund viewpoint and waterfalls. On the way we meet my husband’s friend and family they also join us. Then we all reach there. From the viewpoint we can see the two dam named chulliyar and meenakare. The look to waterfalls from the viewpoint is seen as a picture. The water from the falls is joining to the Gayathripuzha river. The seenary of nelliyampathi is mind blowing experience that tempt to visit the place again and again

Nelliampathy forest Reserve is a place which you cannot neglect. Very beautiful peaceful place with a lot of wilderness. There are well arranged resorts inside the forest from where we could see wild animals like elephants, tigers, jackals, deers, and a score of monkeys and birds. Forests and mountains provide a stunning view and cool mist and strong winds make our time memorable.

It is a nice place for tourists to see the hornbill and other wild animals and birds. The govt should allow to open the forest check post by 6 am instead of 7 am.

A good hill station in Palakkad. Strech begins from Pothundy dam and through the forest belt reaches the top where you have tea plantations. POABS estate is a pvt estate that can be explored to see the valley vie point. Further 4WD jeep safari's do exist for adventure lovers. Good hotels like ITL is avaialble at Nelliampathy. Couple of resorts are there if you plan to make a sleep over or else its a fine one day trip to make.

Good hill station with dense forest and wild animals. Mostly unexplored with a limited crowd. Not great in summers I still enjoy the forest.

A nice place to visit. Amazing site seeing. If you love driving up and down the hairpin curves, this place is perfect for that too (Just worry about the transport buses along the way😂). You'll find photo points and small waterfalla the way up

Awesome viewpoint. It's a long-time wish to visit Nelliyampathy. Even though visit the Idukki district several times. Never gets a chance to visit Nelliyampathy once. Then comes delightful news about Aug 15 Independence day worldwide book of a record rally by All India Riders Helpline Family (AIRHF). For long-distance riders, AIRHF arranged Stay and meet-up at the Nelliyampathy Le-Grande Hotel (one of the best hotels in Nelliyamlathy). They also arranged delicious food in Grace hotel. Grace hotel is a small hotel in that area but offered delicious food with a smile. The meetup and stay were arranged by KL-09 Palakkad Riding Club. They just nailed the hospitality. For the sum of 700 Rs, they offered 3 times unlimited food and accommodation in the best hotel. If you're planning to visit nelliyampathy it will be costly due to less number of accommodation facilities as well as hidden untouched areas. Then surprisingly we spotted wild elephants 🐘 around 10 PM nearby the stay area. The route to Nelliyampathy itself was very pleasant. Lots of small falls all the way and beautiful dense trees on both sides. Lots of dangerous curves and erosion pathways are there. So be careful. We can park lots of bikes and cars on front of it to take pics with the falls. Nice view from bottom to top. There around 4-5 falls on the way. Each one is different from one another. These falls are only for view purpose you can't bath in it. Never try to enter restricted area.

Nice experience. One of the must explored places in kerala. It is not possible to feel nelliyampathy in a single day. The climate, hills, water, offroad, trekking, etc are worth exploring here.

Nelliyampathy forest reserve in Palakkad district is famous for its biodiversity.we could see wild animals and a variety of other creatures like snakes. The climate in the forest would attract the tourists as it's pleasant round the year. The mobile signal receives here in a feeble manner especially in the resorts inside the forest.

With an altitude ranging from 467 m to 1572 m, Nelliyampathy is a serene and picturesque hill station located close to the Palakkad Town in Kerala. The hill station has spectacular view points, majestic mist-clad peaks and sprawling tea and coffee plantations. The road leading to Nelliyampathy has many hair pin bends that make the journey all the more interesting. Close to Nelliyampathy is a famous dam called Pothundy Dam. The catchment area of the dam is a great picnic spot. It offers facilities for boating as well. The Nelliyampathy Hills are famous for their orange farms and tea estates. Tourists can visit these farms and get a glimpse of how bio-farming is done. The hill station offers wonderful opportunities for trekking. The magnificent view from the view points of the hill station makes the trek worthwhile. There is a 100 m high waterfall in Nelliyampathy which is certainly a must-visit attraction. Apart from on-foot treks, tourists can try jeep safaris. The safari can give you an opportunity for spotting exotic birds and animals like elephants, Indian gaur, giant squirrel. The best time to visit Nelliyampathy is between the months of October and May. The hill station experiences heavy rainfall in the monsoons months from June to September.
