    The Nellore District Archaeological Museum is being operated by the Department of Archaeology & Museums of Andhra Pradesh state. It is located in the Magunta Layout area of Nellore city, close to RTC Bus Stand. The district museum has 11 galleries viz. archaeological, Indian art through the ages, Bidri ware, metal ware, wooden art craft, numismatics, epigraphy, arms and weapons, bronze, porcelain and sculptural gallery in the open land. Attempts have been made to create special display methods to attract visitors by displaying antiquities and 400 other objects in different media in a manner, which could be enjoyed, appreciated and understood. Timings: 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM Holidays: Fridays and Government holidays Entry Fee: Rs 3 per head for adults and Rs 1 per head for adults Camera Fee for Indians: Still Camera Fee: Rs 20/- Video Camera: Rs 100/- Camera Fee for Foreigners: Still Camera Fee: Rs 100/- Video Camera: Rs 500/-

    Very nice collection of objects from ages, that give lot of insights on the history of anciant king dynasties. Being maintained very well..staff there are very courteous and welcoming...the place that can be considered as a 'must visit' in the city of Nellore, Andhrapradesh...

    Department of archaeology Nellore district museum very good Museum it has around 11 galleries opening time morning 10:30 a.m. to evening 5:00 p.m. the Museum is closed on Fridays and public holidays given by government to carry camera and video cameras we have to pay entry fee the fees is different to Indian citizens and non-Indian citizens. it will be very helpful for students and also a good tourist place
