What an incredible experience!! I was not expecting that! The trail walks and mines were a true experience. Mine 1 is quite short and adventures with plenty of space, mine 2 is quite a distance with a little bit tighter (weren't able to get past a stage due to the number of bats), and mine 3 was a super long channel that eventually comes to an end. Headlight or torch needed! And always be careful where you put your hands as may put it on bat poo or a bat itself 🦇. The trails are well maintained, but the lourie trail is super steep, and the off-trail is more flat ground. Bettie and Anton were such good hosts and Anton even offered us to watch the rugby world cup game in his home - that's amazing! Thank you for a great weekend, sure we will be back!

Not quite what was expected. This is a trailer / caravan park. No river in sight, mosquito paradise, dogs barking, trailer park residents shouting, using foul language & fighting in the midnight hours and un-level campsites. The campsite manager was however very friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms were also semi-clean, but only one person can shower at a time (male & female) since the water pressure drops. Not the ideal spot if you value peace while only being surrounded by nature. I'm assuming the people who gave this a good rating don't have many camping options to choose from.

Beautiful area surrounded by cliffs with a river flowing through it. Good walks around. Some of the permanent residents houses are a bit run down and ramshackle which detracts a bit from the rest. Still worth a visit.

Nestled on the banks of a small river, there are large grassy areas, a proper slippy slide for young and old to enjoy, hiking trails and more. Friendly hosts. Though you have to do some gravel road traveling, the road is good.

Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a day's outing. The entrance road is well graded. A great hike up the hill to the cross and a peaceful walk up the river to the mine's. The three mines are accessable but take a good torch and mind your head. Anton is very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area and the mines. Good braai areas and wood is available on request. The abolition facilities were clean.

Sleepy hollow is a farm that has residential units erected on a section facing a mountain. There is a hiking trail to the beach. Motorized entry gate provides a more secure environment. Overall a nice place to relax over a long weekend.

Spent a lovely peaceful 12 days camping in our own caravan at Sleepy Hollow. Very sheltered location close (15 min drive) to Blue Water Bay and about 20mins from Bay West Mall in PE. We enjoyed the walking routes and the youngsters enjoyed playing in the shallows of the river and the playpark. The two friendly ponies were a highlight.

👍👍 ["Went camping with the family and once again a wonderfull time spent in the lagoon where the kids can play and be safe. The staff is friendly and the facilities are clean. There is a shop and even some pool tables for entertainment. But the best time is sunset with a camp fire and soft music of...
