Nice family restaurant to bring the kids. Everyone enjoyed their food - grilled cheese and fries for one kid, spaghetti for another. I tried a greek-themed skillet for brunch - the sourdough bread on the side was a highlight. I haven't had a similar diah anywhere and would recommend it. Others in the group were happy with the Silver King Clubhouse and Pacific eggs benny (with crab). Fries were crispy. While we waited, there was interesting history to read about for the adults and colouring for the kids. Love the renos and how they have heritage themed items everywhere. Update: Angry bee large pizza was enough for two hungry adults - sweet and spicy and lots of cheese! Kid's personal pizza also came with fries, and right amount of food for my boys.

A nice resturant with good food and good service.a great place for date night. They have a prime rib special that they offer on weekends and we both ordered it, Its was prepared perfectly and delish.

Over the years we have gone to the General Store Restaurant in the Hume Hotel many times. Clean, super friendly staff and great food is the best way to describe it. I thoroughly enjoy the historical aspect of the building and how well its been preserved. Best part of my meal was the crème brûlée. Stop in check it out for yourself.

Delightful! Cool old building with really interesting old photos (ask your server for stories), mocha was fantastic with real whipped cream (just add a pinch of salt to take it to the next level), vegetable benny was amazing (fried halloumi for the win), and the breakfast sandwich were all fantastic!

This was a really neat restaurant and the atmosphere was so cool. Very old school building and the design brings you back to early Nelson settlement. Great food and beer options. I will definitely come back.

Food was decent but service was terrible. Had a lady that was very abrupt and our experience consisted of this. Walked in got greeted and sat immediately with only 1 other table we could see being used. Hostess was very pleasant. However once we got our server it went down hill as she aparenty knew the other group of people and we heard her serve them enthusiastically with all the standard questions you would expect. Not so for us. Short answers and no do you want anything other then water (only thing we had throughout entire dinner) and we felt very second rate compared to the other table that recieved good service from the same server. Short. Probably wont go back.

Went in for dessert and was not disappointed. Service was also good.

Amazing food. I have not been disappointed with any food from any of the Hume's restaurants. Then again I suppose that's because they're all serviced by the same kitchen! :-) They do a phenomenal job and the food is always fabulous. I had the Macaroni and Cheese Balls and they are to die for!

Ohmygosh what a beautiful old hotel with an amazing restaurant with incredible food! Servings were huge so have leftovers for lunch! What I wanted wasn't on the menu but they had no issue making what I wanted. The beef is home grown and my hubby says it was the best beef he's ate in a long time!

A little disappointed in our recent visit on July 5th. We were really looking forward to trying the eggs benny which came highly recommended however due to the Holiday there were only serving a breakfast buffet. Which in and of itself isn't the issue. My issue was the extremely limited buffet options. Wish we were informed of exactly how limited the breakfast buffet was. (Think worse than a Super 8 continental breakfast). The recommendations we received for the eggs benny will prompt us to try again next time we're passing through Nelson though.

The food was fine. Not worth waiting for though. The staff were friendly but sloooowwwww!! Probably would not go back or reccomend it. Sorry.😔

My family and I started with the mussels. They were excellent. I had the ravioli, my husband had the salmon salad. The food was delicious. Our waiter Gabe was very attentive and enjoyable. It was a very comfortable atmosphere and we would definitely go back.

Came here for lunch and we really enjoyed it! We got the daily special and the Reuben, which were both delicious. To finish the meal off we got the lemon meringue pie and it was SO YUMMY! Service was quick and friendly. We also really enjoyed the decor inside. Remember to read the history of the building on the back of the menu. Thanks Daira!

Discovered this gem by accident but so glad we did. Menu was so good it was difficult to decide. Had very good attentive friendly service from a lovely young man named Gabe. Nicely spaced tables, great atmosphere. Delicious food. Only regret is we didn't save room for dessert but will be back another time for that.

Went for breakfast, eggs were alright but hashbrowns were obviously made hours before and re-heated. Buy an old phone or tablet so your staff can actually scan and check vaccine passports the way you are required. Not that hard.

We were in Nelson for a few nights, we weren't staying at the Hume but we walked up the hill from the water front three mornings just for breakfast and one evening for dinner here - it really is that good! Amazing breakfast/brunch and dinner menus. Incredibly tasty food. Fabulously friendly and professional serving staff. Reasonably priced as of August 2021. Enjoy!

We are on our honeymoon and we wanted a great dinner for our last day here. I had the seafood fettuccine and my new beautiful wife had the Club house sandwich. It was amazing beautiful food made with passion, amazing service and very LGTBTQIA2+ accepting. We will definitely be back.

The food was good the delivery fast but the price is high for what you get (I'm my opinion) when you put it against comparable burgers in nelson. I'd not recommend for home delivery just because of the price it's more a dine in price than a delivery. Great for a night out in the restaurant itself. I'd also not recommend the extra Patty on the hume mongous burger 🍔 it's good but not THAT good 😊 😂

Excellent menu selection with meals for everyone. The server was very pleasant and recommended several choices which we enjoyed throughly. Will come back again.

The Bravos burger was exceptional! Really enjoyed the substitution of bacon for chorizo chips - still got a delicious taste and crispiness. Great atmosphere. Friendly and professional staff.

Awesome pancakes! Apparently it was built in 1898 so tons of history in and around the building. If it's a nice day, eat on the patio!

Overall it was good but not exceptional. The presentation was fair but the quality was just above average. The staff wore faceshields in the seating area and were very friendly. The attention to detail needs work as 1 person in our group got the classic water Glass with lipstick. I felt I paid at the top end for the food offered.

We had a great dinner here in a quiet weekday evening. Attentive staff, a good glass of wine and very reasonable prices for a few choice selections. Worth a visit.

The food was ok

The staff was very polite as we entered. My family and I were given a great table by the window. Chadwick was our server. One of the kids had a tough time choosing something, but Chadwick was super patient, despite the fact he had to keep coming back to the table. The food was delicious to boot.
