Just terrible! Expensive but they don't use quality ingredients. Sushi rice disgusting. Seaweed tastes terrible and he strong fishy taste drowns out any other flavour. The sushi was terrible. Been a foodie for 50 years! This place just cannot get it right. Every once in awhile I give it another try and am so disappointed!

It was alright I guess, they have quite the assortment of Asian food fairly conveniently located in Nelson, although I do have to say the food I got did lack a little on flavor, not to say it was bad just could have used a little something else. Although if you enjoy sushi the couple at the next table really seemed to enjoy theirs lol

We live out of town so we only order from KC a few times a year, but we have a year's long ritual of eating in the restaurant on Christmas Eve every year after last minute shopping. These guys are great. Super friendly. We're always happy to give them our business, and this past Christmas Even reminded me that we ought to visit them more often. Rock on KC, keep that gravy warm for my almond chicken, I'll be in soon.

I generally love kc, but last time I went they didn't put any tapioca in the bubble tea and charged me for a spicy tuna but gave me just a regular tuna roll. the waitress was really nice though

Understaffed and slow. You can’t really walk in here for takeout. Waited 45 mins for one order of yam tempura. Worst part of 30 mins in she lied and said it was already in the package.

Love this restaurant. The staff is very friendly. Quite clean. Always a go to especially when i'm not sure what I want to eat or looking for that bang for the buck. Large portions, every time I order i end up with two meals. Affordable.

Chow mein was over cooked, very soggy. Tuna roll gave us gas station vibes. Everything was flavorless and over cooked and soggy. Won't order again. Won't be eating the sushi at all it clearly has been sitting out for a day or so, the "wasabi" was dried out. The tuna is suspiciously stringy. I'm not changing food poisoning.

**Update.. went again for lunch today and had the War Won Ton soup. Delish. And the service was great. Very average food. I had the 'Teriyaki Chicken' bowl. It didn't taste like Teriyaki I know, and the mixed veg it came with was 95% cabbage. There was only 1 other table with people, and although the server was smiley and friendly, I had to get up or call them over for everything. Even a glass of water. Service can be improved.

My Mom, My Sister, and I went out for a holiday dinner at KC. Until then we had primarily known KC as a sushi restaurant and I was a bit nervous about ordering from the strangely formatted Chinese menu. The food was great though, with the exception of the chow mein which was extremely salty. Thankfully we had some less salty things to eat it with, like the Agadashi Tofu. Per-item prices are a little higher than expected, but it turns out the serving sizes are generous to match! Good food and fair prices, will definitely come again! Things we tried: - The shrimp dumplings were a favorite, very delicious! - Their chicken/shrimp fried rice was great, and had a good amount of chicken/shrimp and vegetables, very filling. - The agadashi tofu has a very generous serving size and made for a great group appetizer. - Their Chow mein was far too salty, but that could have been an accident. - Sweet and sour chicken balls were good, with large chicken pieces and not too much batter. good sauce. - Almond chicken with gravy was very interesting, It almost seemed like something you would find on a poutine at finleys and we all liked it. We had lots of leftovers :p

We ordered their famous Lava Roll and tried out their *new* hot wings, we also tried their new desserts called Halo-halo and ice scramble which legit took me back home. Everything we ordered was great. All the staff are very warm and friendly. Highly recommended. 👍👍👍

Quick great service. Good price point. Had the Red Dragon roll and it wasn't very good. The roe and the salmon didn't taste great. The the rest of the roll was fine. Also the spicy mayo was different than other places I've been to (sriracha mixed with mayo), it tasted like a spicy yum yum sauce which wasn't bad just different.

Me and my husband, Emilio, had dinner on July 8, 2021 We ordered: House Special Fried Rice, Maguro & Sake Sashimi. The House Special Fried Rice was good but the best is their Sashimi. The tuna and sockeye salmon were so fresh. You can tell just by looking at its orange flesh, firm and rich tasting salmon! The service was quick and servers were very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely go back there!

I just ordered the war won ton soup and it’s the worst I’ve ever had. It used to be really good at the KC. No Flavour totally flat. I hunted and found 1 shrimp and 2 won tons. The rest was meat with no flavour most of which I didn’t even know what animal it came from. A few Vegas and watered down broth. I don’t know who the cook is there now but he must be told the food is horrible.

We ordered the Pad Thai and it was terrible!! It looked and tasted like it was smothered in chicken gravy and was very bland no flavour. We didn’t eat it and complained to our server who still charged us full price for it. Never eating here again.

Food was great. Like so many places right now short staffed. The two ladies worked well together and efficiently to manage the guests in the restaurant.

🫤 I gave this a 2 instead of 5 for dinner only because we were told that we had to vacate our table after having dinner and drinks as the table was reserved for another group. This was only after being seated for 90 minutes. A 90 minute turnover is unreasonable...if the table had a limited sitting t...

😐 A unique shopping experience with a good selection of goods. But bring lots of $$$ as it's easily the most expensive grocery store in the area. Lots of overpriced merchandise for those with piles of disposable income.
