👍👍 What a great little park looking over the downtown area and the lake! Beautiful botanical gardens amidst little trails and a playground. There’s a swimming pool for little children that looks fun and places to have picnics. People often mention park, Nelson, pool, views, view,

Picture perfect place. It is most photographed place. The flower gardens are beautiful and just the views are breathtaking. Must see if you come to Nelson BC

A great park with lovely views over Nelson and Kootenay Lake! Take time to wander around and look at the flowers. There's a pool here as well as a children's play area with swings and a slide. Lots of spots to sit and relax! I love how peaceful and quiet it is!

Gyro Park is a place where you get the beautiful view of Nelson. It's a short hike. Just reach the flag pole to see the beauty of Nelson. Just a short distance hike further you will find a park, pool and swings. A must visit place when you are in Nelson.

One of the most beautiful Parks I've ever visited the gazebo is just gorgeous and the Lookout point is amazing it looks over Nelson not wheelchair accessible.

Gyro Park is easily accessible by car or by foot. Located just northeast of downtown, in the centre of Nelson, it provides awesome panoramic views of Downtown, Kootenay Lake, and the Big Orange Bridge. It's the best way to quick a great view of the city with minimal effort. The nearby park is a small compact forest featuring winding trails, as well.

Such a nice in town park. The flower beds and lawns are well tended but they also have natural woodlands to enjoy. Beautiful view of the valley as well as some steep hills to traverse.

I love it. I've probably been over 100 times and will continue to go. Such a beautiful view of Nelson.

Wonderful little park, beautifully kept and manicured. The play park for kids is small but ours had fun. The views of Nelson are spectacular. Hoping the kids outdoor pool opens soon so that they can enjoy it once again. Would definitely recommend for the views and serenity.

This place is gorgeous!! So many flowers! There looks to be nice little swimming pool open in July/August! Lovely overlook view of Nelson BC. DON'T LITTER for decency's sake!

Amazing views and park. No dogs allowed is disappointing as they should be allowed in any park with strict leash rules and cleaning up after your pets

Lovely little community park with a swimming pool, trails and city viewpoint. The grounds, grass and plantings are excellent and well maintained. Great views of the town, the river and the bridge.

There is an Earth Geocache and a traditional cache, if you enjoy that hobby. A nice playground for kids and a small outdoor pool. Didn't check out the pool but the scenery is pretty for a relatively small park.

Very beautiful and peaceful little park, filled with lovely flowers and landscapes and a trail to a view of the Kootenay Bay. No dogs allowed. The pools were closed for the season.

👍👍 Born & raised in the Kootenays, I had no idea riding the streetcar was even a “thing”! It was a lovely day when we rode from the Prestige Lakeside station through Lakeside Park and back again. I think it’s a wonderful touristy thing to do and I’m glad they’ve brought it back. A very cheap way to...
