One of the most beautiful hike I ever done. Highly recommend staying at the Kokanee Cabin and doing the day hike to near by places. Breath taking views. There are so many animals and birds.

Access road is quite rough and not suitable for 2 wheel drive. Trails are well maintained but not marked well. I highly recommend checking the trail information on the website before heading out as some may be blocked by cut shrubs. Make sure to use the wire mesh to protect your fires and break line from porcupines.

Favorite hike in the area. Went on August 7th. The road up to Gibson Lake was well maintained, although there was a little bit of traffic. Enjoyed a perfect blue bird day, made it to Kaslo Lake and took a dip in Kokanee Lake on the way back (can't beat the refreshing waters of the lake after a couple hours of hiking).

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Kooyney Glacier and I must confess, it was an experience I do enjoy every time I do it. From the moment I arrived, the park's natural beauty was immediately striking. The glacial vistas were breathtaking, and I was taken aback by the mesmerizing allure of the snow-capped peaks that formed a magnificent backdrop to our adventure. As an avid hiker, the cleanliness and the immaculate maintenance of the trails stood out to me. Each path was clearly marked and well-groomed, making navigation not just easy but also enjoyable. The park staff should be commended for their tireless work in preserving the pristine conditions of these trails, while also ensuring they blend seamlessly with the natural environment. The climb to the Keyhole was certainly a highlight of my visit. It was challenging, yet immensely rewarding. I would like to emphasize the park's exceptional ability to cater to a variety of skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned mountaineer or a novice hiker, there are trails that perfectly suit your ability and provide an unforgettable experience. What impressed me most about Kooyney Glacier Park was the evident respect for the natural landscape. It's clear that preserving the integrity of this awe-inspiring glacier environment is a top priority. This commitment to conservation ensures that visitors will be able to enjoy its beauty for generations to come. In conclusion, whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat in nature or an adrenaline-fueled adventure, Kooyney Glacier Park promises an experience that is as memorable as it is majestic. I highly recommend a visit to this stunning park – it's a must-see destination that truly offers something for every outdoor enthusiast.

The best part of Kokanee Glacier Park is where most people don't get to.

Beautiful, breath-taking views and many activities to choose from. The glacier hike worth every step and awesome campground for some rest & relaxation, back in the years.😊

Kokanee Glacier Cabin in an amazing spot in the middle of the wilderness. Pretty luxurious for a Backcountry cabin.

Tucked into the mountains leading up to the Kokanee Glacier, the Kokanee Glacier Cabin is a palace. Timber framed, Net Zero (thanks to Micro Hydro and full waste water treatment system), and steps away from spectacular alpine lakes, this park only just begins to show it's beauty. For Backcountry skiers it is a treasure of big mountain slops and safe sheltered deep powder turns. In the summer the spectacular ridges and enchanting valleys draw people from all over the world. If you have the chance to visit, this park is a treasure.
