The course is amazing, especially the back nine, which really uses the hills to its advantage. Also, the grounds crew is awesome, and a special shout out to Rick for allowing us to finish our round a little after closing. He’s a super star.

I just finished my fifth annual golf trip to Balfour, and it was better than ever. The course is in incredible condition, and the food and beverage was better than ever. This course is the definition of a hidden gem. One of the best golf experiences you’ll ever have. If you’re in or near the area, make the trip to Balfour!

Beautiful scenery, coarse is in very nice shape. Not sure if there lacking in staff but had a hard time getting food after our front nine. All in all enjoyed our day at Balfour

We have golfed Balfour at least 6 times a year. The course is always in good shape, and the layout makes sense. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is the pace of play, and restaurant is not open. some days it is good and around 4 hours, Some days, 18 takes 5 hours. When the restaurant was running a year or so ago, it was awesome! Oh, and a little plug here since the course restaurant is not open . The Dock and Duck is a winner!

Beautiful and challenging course. Was never rushed or had to wait. We had an amazing time!

This is a beautiful, scenic, and challenging golf course. I usually walk our 18 hole golf courses up in Fort St John. The back nine on this course would be too much for me to walk.

Amazing course. Very friendly staff. Nice greens. Such an awesome course, I decided to donate some golf balls to the woods.

Had a great day of golf, the course was soft with all the rain they've been getting. Would love to play it again in dryer conditions.

Very well maintained course with amazing scenery. A great mix of natural woods and manicuring. Friendly staff, nice pro shop, brand new carts. Challenging for beginner to intermediate; not impossible but not too easy. Back 9 has interesting holes.

This “country course” has a really nice layout. It also has some nice views out to the lake. Greens were good, tee to its green it’s good. A little rough around the edges though…gravelled dry, dusty cart paths do take away from it unfortunately. Also the range is rough, balls and mats were not good. Pros shop staff was great. Think I would play closer to town next time grappling with the value on this one.

I’m an absolute beginner golfer, so I can’t really comment on the course itself apart from that it’s in great condition and the club is dealing well with the COVID-19 restrictions. What I can rave about are the incredible views from the course.

Just stayed for the one day on their newly renovated dry campsite next to the golf course . Great facility, wonderful staff .

This golf course is always in great shape! Club house staff are helpful and friendly, only thing that was off when we were there the last couple times the golf carts were questionable. The first one had steering issues so we traded it for a different one. The second time we push started it probably half the holes on the round. The last time we were there it looked like they were starting to get some new blue ones in the stable, so these ones were probably going for trade in soon. All in all it was still a great experience, except for #11, that hole always gets me!

Great golf course. Staff are all top notch. Some greens were a little rough but they will come around I'm sure.

Best course around the lake. Nice challenge and really well designed (front nine is totally walkable, back nine can still be walked but a lot more up and down) Friendly staff and members and a great restaurant. Thoroughly recommend.

Unbelievable that this course pops up in the middle of nowhere. So worth the trip. Staff were so nice but that course is unreal good. 460 people live in Balfour and this is their golf course.

👍 This interesting park South of Nelson is accessible a from Highway 6, or from the Great Northern Rail Trail. The park area is on the NW end of the lake. There are pit toilets, picnic tables, a cook shelter, and dock in the park area. In this area, the rail trail parallels the length of the lake and...
