Nice walk. Easy to follow trails. Lots of information placards. Cool bridge. Had fun but it feels like a one and done. No reason to return.

Beautiful location, great short walk around the island with many lookout spots and picnic areas. The old house itself is gorgeous historical building with pretty surrounding area. Although the cable bridge is closed in the off-season, there is very easy access through a large dyke walkway. Highly recommended to burn off some energy. Plenty of dog off leash areas as well. Two thumbs up.

I am so drawn to this place, I come for a walk around this Island a lot. As you can tell I am very connected to this place and have taken a lot of beautiful pictures of this place. It is a must to come and visit when your in the area and get a really look at what Castlegar has to offer.. So beautiful in the summer time when all of the flowers are bloomed. And don’t forget to check out their historic 1918 year old school.!

Zuckerberg Island is a beautiful, peaceful, serene gem in the heart of downtown Castlegar. Take your time and explore the many paths, and be sure to check out the chapel, cemetery and "stump lady". The island is accessible either by suspension bridge, or by a foot path - which is typically open as long as the water level is low (which it usually is these days). This park holds special memories for me as it is where my husband & I were wed. It's as beautiful now as it was then, if not moreso.

I might go again for the view on the Northeast side of the island. Otherwise, not as fun as I thought it might be. The museum was closed, it was about 11 am on a Sunday. The bridge was closed for repairs, but it was easy to take an alternate route next to it to get into the island. Not hard to get to from town. But a little underwhelming for my family, except for a few nice views.

Great place to visit, awesome amount of history here, very nice walk and views are incredible. I highly recommend going to see this, and read the history on Mr. Zuckerberg's dream come true.

It's a little hard to find if you're following google maps but there's a cute suspension bridge with a walking path on the other side. The suspension bridge itself is low enough to the water to be fine for most people afraid of heights and it's a free stop! How often do you find something that there's no charge for?

Nice, easy hike. Some history on the island! Loved the suspension bridge!

Beautiful. Bridge was still closed. We went there to look for geo caches, there could be more, but otherwise a lovely area.

Nice history but be prepared for insects and poison ivy. Barely there 10 minutes and ended up with most painful bites, doctor believes might have been chiggers

Beautiful walking trail with a lot of different trees, sitting areas for picnics, and a historical building worth checking out. Dogs friemdly on leash only. A really neat suspension bridge to get to and from the island as well.

A must see in castlegar bc. Uniquely situated on a small island on the COLUMBIA RIVER. Offers lots of history & beauty of the island including Zuckerberg's home there. Accessible by a long suspension bridge which offers a great view of the area.not to missed including the Millennium Park just down trail from the bridge.

Unique park that is well worth a visit. Nice 30min walk with the preserved homestead home to admire from the outside. Suspention bridge is closed during winter, but island is still accessible by a causeway

👍 Replica built to commemorate the Doukhobors who settled in the area. The display room with video was well done. I liked Lev Tolstoy's statue indicating his influence and support of their emigration
