Park is located beside a clear water lake with a view of Nelson bridge. Lake has a beach and boat dock. Park has lots of big trees and picnic tables. Huge playground for kids beside a consession store with lots of food to choose from on their menu. Limited parking inside park premises but can park on side of the road by houses.

This is a beautiful place to explore. There is a long lakeside path to enjoy. There are plenty of benches along the route to rest and enjoy the sights. The path is paved, level, and well kept. The park is very accessible to persons with mobility concerns. Easy for any wheelchair. Dogs must be leashed at all times. My only criticism is there aren't any recycling bins, and very few trash bins.

What a beautiful waterfront park. I rode my bike through it and saw the little trolly. Can't wait to explore more

It is a beautiful park beside the Kootenay lake with a nice view. It has a few sculptures, public restrooms, a small kids' playground and an outdoor cardio/stretching workout area and plenty of space for families to spend leisurely time. Chahko-Mika mall is to the west side of the park and the orange bridge is to Its west side. And there is a walking path along the way from lakeside and the road side.

It was very nice to come across a great set of outdoor fitness equipment in the middle of the park to do some pull-up sets, along with Bulgarian sit squats, box (rock) jumps, dips and push-ups.

Nice park along the waterfront with well maintained walking paths. The soccer fields were immaculate. Beach was nice and clean. Fun playground for the kids. There is a small concession with food and ice cream. Unique food offerings including vegan options.

Well maintained park! On one side is a very nice little concession stand with good food. Be sure to check on line, the concession stand is seasonal. Perfect soccer fields. Beaches are clean. Dogs are not allowed on most of the park. The Dog Park is down by the airport (and is a nice area). Wonderful place to go for an afternoon stroll!

This is my favourite park to go to! It has beautiful walking paths that stretch quite a ways. You can see plenty of geese gathering and eating the grass, there’s a playground, a concession area that is open during summer months, there are 2 sets of washrooms located at the park; on the side of concession and by the beach and a beautiful public beach which allows dogs (I believe). I can’t get over how absolutely beautiful it is; the trees and flowers really make the park pop! I highly recommend this family friendly park. P.S: the park has plenty of benches and picnic tables for public use!

Surrounded by mountains with BOB (big orange bridge) overhead? Sign me up! Sandy beach with shallow access, grassy park space and playground for little folks, bathrooms, floaty rentals, reasonably priced food pavilion, a dock to jump off of… the recipe for a perfect Kootenay afternoon.

I dipped in the cold water and got a rash. Avoid the areas with Geese ;) Good lake for Cold therapy minus the parasites.

Nice park and nice beach. Water is a little cooler and not quite as clear as others. Good concession stand on-site and they even have ice cream. Stopped here a few times and would definitely stop here again.

This is the place you must go to, if you want to experience Nelson in full. Spacious park that has its own beach area, and has food stand that provides coffee and snacks. There is a streetcar that you can take as well. 10/10 park - Nelson's jewel.

What an amazing park in Nelson. Visited in fall, so I didn’t get to see the tram in operation and all the soccer goals were put away ready for the winter. Despite that, there were some beautiful scenery, and a perfect time to visit to watch the leaves change colour. There are various bins that keep the park tidy along with a beach towards the north end of the park, which must be lovely in the summer. There are also plenty of benches to stop at admire the view as well as various cultural displays within the park.

Lovely, relaxing park with views of the famous bridge in Nelson, lots of places to have picnics, play sports, and walk dogs. There are some nice spots to go for a walk, too. There is a huge soccer field where kids have practice and a little cafe for snacks and drinks.

How this place is not in the list of many websites for a place to stop and see i don't understand. If you are looking for a place to rest and relax or a place for the family to enjoy this spot has it all. Cafe for food...check. Playground for kids...check. Beach to get some sun and enjoy the water...check. A place I recommend highly if you are stopping in Nelson. Beach sand is great not too rocky. Water is perfect temperature too cool down in on a hot day.
