Planet Hotel was a really great choice for our trip to Nepal. After 2 days spent in the caothic city of Kathmandu we moved into this hotel in Bhaktapur, just outside the city. It is located few kilometers from Kathmandu and is just the right distance to reach all the different artistic marvels present around the capital. The value for money is outstanding. A building submerged in the countryside where you are welcomed by its kind personnel and clean rooms, not to talk about the delicious typical food served.. If you dont' know who to speak to in order to plan your tours the hotel provides its guests with competent guides and drivers who will take you wherever you want and if you don't know where to go they will help you planning your visits. Their knowledge of the Italian and English language was also a really helpful thing in our journey.

Hotel Planet in Bhaktapur is a rare gem, a unique place, not only in Nepal, but in the world. We spent just a few nights here (unfortunately) and it felt like home. I highly recommend to stay at this place if you're travelling to Nepal, not only because it's a lovely place but also because you'll feel at ease and you'll be warmly welcomed. Francesco, Naresh and all the people that work there are incredible, everyone is really kind and attentive. Also, they will organise everything for you if you want to, they've a deep knowledge of all Nepal of course, so you're in good hands! They took us around Bhaktapur and Kathmandu valley to visit temples and monasteries and they perfectly organised our four-days trekking in Mardi Himal (such an amazing experience!). The hotel is beautiful, nicely decorated with a lovely garden outside where you can rest and enjoy a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Our room was very clean, nice and cosy and the bed was really comfortable. Last but not least, the food was the best we had in Nepal, delicious, so tasty! Make sure to stop here if you're travelling to this wonderful country because you'll never forget this little piece of paradise. I was there with my office team for a meeting followed by other events. The place turned out to be a delightful treat. I felt very close to nature and the ambiance itself made me feel at peace. Honestly, the place was apt for our mental health workshop event which turned out to be one of the successful events that day. The service and food was again something to praise for. I definitely wish to visit ‘Hotel planet’ again.

Hello I was lucky to have the opportunity to stay for a day at Hotel Planet Bhaktapur. I think I came here as a stranger and left as a family. The staff is extremely cordial and friendly. The food is great. You can sense the positivity with which each and every minute details have been taken care of at the hotel. The rooms are also great. I had a room with a balcony overseeing the city view. There is a terrace huge enough to opt for star gazing at late night. Yes, I would like to mention I loved it so much that I would love to come here for a solo trip. Dr. Yagya Timalsina ( The CEO of the hotel ) was very kind to hand me over a hand drawn map of the city which enabled me to cover all of it on foot within no time. I must say he is a very humble and down to earth person. Last but not the least to appreciate, the centre part of the hotel is the loveliest of all. Loved sitting there hearing the birds chirp along with the wooden sculpture exuding wonderful energies. Hoping to come back soon. Thanks, SB

We spent 2 nights in Planet Bhaktapur upon arrival in Nepal and it was a great experience. From the well-arranged pick-up from the airport to the last minute before we left. All staff were extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. The motto of the team is that visitors are part of the family and that was indeed the feeling we got. We had not planned anything specific for the second day but Yagya, the manager, offered his services as a guide and we had a great day visiting a nearby temple and of course beautiful Bhaktapur. In the evening we had a surprise invite to join the kitchen staff to make momo's for dinner. This was a nice culinary learning ! Overall, great place, nice rooms, good meals and perfect service !! Many thanks Yagya and team for one of those great travel memories.

Attentive and friendly care is the signature of this hotel where its personnel has many years of experience in caring for tourists and making each vacation a memorable one making you want to come back for more! The restaurant on location, La Bella Nepali, offers traditional Nepali food as well as Italian lips licking dishes. As you walk into the hotel it transpires the managers' deep love for the country of Nepal through the rich and amazing display of local handicrafts and you can't help but fall in love with the country and its welcoming people. The personnel has been of great help in planning my improvised stay in Nepal, for that I am really thankful.

Located on a hill away from traffic and noise of Bhaktapur, the Planet was a pleasant retreat where to return after the intense and tiring days of my first trip to Nepal. With the precious collaboration of Yam, director of the Planet and wise guide with an almost perfect Italian, we discovered the Kathmandu Valley and its history. From the moment I arrived, I felt at ease with the friendliness and helpfulness of Francesco, Yam himself, and all the staff. Last but not least, the restaurant La Bella Nepali is excellent both for the local cuisine (the best Dal Bhat and Momo of Nepal😋) and for the Italian one (I hadn't eaten a parmigiana like this for years... and what about the crepes? 😋) Thanks to the Planet band for the unforgettable experience! I stayed there 10 days and will go back in a few days for one week. Great place outside of Bhaktapur, with very nice garden. The team there is friendly and helpful. You feel like at home and very welcome for any request. The food is delicious and the room very confortable. I had help with spendings in Bhaktapur to know where the good places are and even somebody coing with me for advise, really outstanding help.
