We stayed at a hotel close to the restaurant so we came here basically for every meal and never were disappointed. Everything is made from scratch and has a very good and traditional taste. It is a family owned business and everyone can cook the food for you, keeping consistency. The family is very welcoming and cordial, they all speak good English and the meals are very cheap considering the quality. Away from the busy lakeside, but not too much (15 mins walk).

We did a momo cooking class. It was very interesting and fun time. We learned how to do the filling, mostly the veg one, and all the ways of wrapping the momos depending on the filling they have. The most fun part was the one learning the wrapping. Then we ate 2 plates of momos each, that even it was no all the momos we made it was enough. We also tried a typical dessert/snack they make with the momo dough that left. It was 10$ per person, I would recommend it. It is interesting to be able to learn how to do a local dish while traveling. The guy also prepare for us one night a hummus plate. It was the most delicious hummus we have tried. It was outside the menu but if you like maybe you can ask him.

This is the best local restaurant in pokhara lakeside. Delicious food, family run business, also the warmest hospitality. They do provide momo and Nepali food Dal bhat cooking training. Reasonable price for everything. Last but not the least their home made yogurt is the best and must try. Highly recommend. Momo training for 2 hours only for $10 per person.

They have fine spectrum of dishes sure to satisfy most tastes. Nirvana is a family run restaurant and the family provides a truly warm and friendly atmosphere. Any questions I have asked about menu items have been thoughtfully described. Giri (bad spelling, but the papa of the family) brings out spices used in the dish for me to smell. The cafe is nothing fancy to look at, but if down- home, Nepali food excites you as it does me, you really should check them out.
