Kadyavarcha Ganpati ( Nisargacha Raja) A majestic Lord Ganesha idol carved out of a single boulder, Kadyavarcha Ganpati is a popular tourist attraction in the hill-station of Matheran. The word ‘Kada’ means edge in the native language Marathi and so, this idol gets its name because it is located on the edge of a mountain. Beautifully painted with vibrant colors, this idol impresses the visitors with its huge size. A short trek takes the hikers to this spot. During monsoons, the views this spot offers leaves the visitors breathless! How to reach : From Neral station board sharing cab to Matheran. Get down at 136point ( Toy train marking). Start walking on toy train track to 158point which is just 2km.

The only station which encompasses it's way to the Matheran. The station is relatively small and less crowded compared to metropolitan cities like Pune or Mumbai but has all the facilities and amneties of a hill station.

If Matheran is in your plan. This is where you will get down. Knowing the importance of this junction the railways or the local municipality have not done major work here. The entrance/exits are still the same during the British times, the streets are narrow and crowded. This junction has good footfalls during weekend holidays, vacations etc. This place needs beautification!

Very nice station and tourist attractions... Unhappy to see that the toy train has been stopped now to Matheran...and missed the fun.. But overall good place..

Neral is a Rail Station on Central Line after Shelu Rail Station in the South & before Bhivpuri Road Rail Station in the North. Neral is considered a Junction as it connects Matheran Route. Only 2 Trains for Matheran in the morning originate from Neral @ 8:50am & 10:25am. Ongoing Local Trains for Thane & CSMT in the South are available on Platform 2. Trains for Karjat & Khopoli in the North are available on Platform 1.

I daily go from here This area is stil upgrading. It's getting famous cz Matheran is near from here.

This station is on Central line. Very convenient for people going to matheran, very famous hill station. From here you can travel to matheran by a small toy train. Amazing experience of travelling. Must must try this train tour. Because of matheran this station is very crowded by tourist on weekends and holidays. But one major problem is train frequency is very bad. Day time almost 1 hour gap in between two trains...

Good and Clean station platforms but not good services at there like washrooms and inquiry. Market is just out side of station so many things we can explore there

It's a good small station. The trains yo CSMT or Karjat, a waiting oeriod is abot 20-35 minutes. Morning/evenings/holidays quite a bit rush in trains.

Neral Is close to Matheran Hill Station. Alight here for Matheran, Taxi are easily available in sharing for Matheran.

Popular junction among tourists...it connects you to two routes CSMT-KARJAT-KHOPOLI vice versa & it takes you to magnificent journey of matheran through its toy train..Even there are modes of public transport available if you have to reach matheran but if you have to travel via toy train you should check timings prior because frequency of toy trains is low... rest talking about station it is neat , clean & well maintained...

Drop point to go Matheran if you come from mumbai via local train. The Station is very well managed! this lies in the Central Line of Mumbai local! The train comes every half and hour. The station has a washroom too outside and you will find many share taxis outside the station to take you to matheran

Road outside neral station needs to be widened. Hell of crowd in weekends. Needs diversion of traffic. Also market place needs to be allocated some place distance from station to avoid stampede n crowd.

Neral Railway Station is a century old junction Station. It caters to regular trains and the narrow gauge. The Station is very clean and silent. The Neral-Matheran toytrain operates daily two trains both sides. In case of non availability of the toytrain, one can reach Dasturi .Naka in Matheran by taxi/auto Neral itself is a good town. It is popular among tourists. However ,the Municipal authorities should develop roads in Neral East.

For those going to Matheran ....the toy train services are suspended from 10th June 2023 upto 15th Oct 2023....however you can get down at Neral take a sharing cab for Rs 100 upto Aman lodge and get into toy train
