We had a wonderful dinner with 16 guests for a family member birthday. The food was great and the staff even better. All the little kids loved the playground. Shout out to Josh for being so helpful you helped to make it a great night. We will definitely be back.

Lacks the ability provide a great pub atmosphere. Went there to watch the AFL and have a few beers with dinner and a band was on. Main bar closed off, fair enough. The only option was to sit in the cold watching a small TV without sound. Big bistro with five people in there. They don’t provide a venue you and your mates want to hang at. Keep the sport on, improve the atmosphere and make it a second home for locals. Could be much much better.

Great local pub with verandah, beer garden and kids play area. My family and I have had several meals here and, while the menu is basic, the portions are sizeable and prices reasonable. This place always seems to be busy for meals and goes off when they host theme nights, like dragg queen bingo, and various bands. A very family friendly venue.

Great pub on the Coast. Every visit, the chefs exceed themselves. Piper in the bistro was a delight, and the managers we saw, Nadia, JJ and Ryan lead a great team!

At very short notice, late in the day, the Wallaby staff found us a very clean functional room for the night. We were minutes from the kitchen closing - they cooked up a lovely meal If you are looking for a basic room with great thoughtful hosts we recommend The Wallaby for you. Thank you for going the extra mile Dean - we really appreciated it

Cold expensive beer served in warm glasses, been coming for 20+ years slowly getting worse, friday was the worst dreadful starters both tried and sent backmy main was delicious pork dish my wife's was lamb kofter cold bland again sent back with no response from wait staff. Most disappointing of all i rang twice over the weekend to chat about my feed back and have not even be given the courtesy of a call back. Oh well i guess ill try the dog and parrot then.

My wife & I had lunch in the restaurant on Melbourne Cup day...her Roast Pumpkin meal was great for about $23 but my rib fillet for $50 was very disappointing... the $8 rib fillets at Coles are far more tender and have less gristle... apart from that we had a great day at Wallabys...

This iconic pub is just - tired & needs a make over now. It's location and history is simply fantastic along with the meals it's simply great. But it's now tired and needs some TLC.

Super delicious food, I had the regular parmy and I could not fault it. Pricing is reasonable, there are different size options, the only downside was lack of cutlery and napkins on the table (we had to go find our own) and one meal was significantly later than the others. We had a booking for 8, and they could cater for that. The atmosphere was also quite nice. There is indoor and outdoor seating, plus a play area for kids.

Ok old pub, interior is a mix of old and partial new remodel modern that doesn't flow. Went for drinks in the middle of the day, hardly anyone was around, no real atmosphere. Fast service.

Went here for a Saturday night drinks and a palmy with the boys. We all ordered on the little qr code on the table, but we ended up waiting an hour for our food because turns out the system that does those orders were out, but the services was great they told us what had happened given us a round of drinks and also a few sides of onion rings which was amazing Thank you guys!

Our local go-to bistro. Very kid friendly, loads of space and food is always nice. Staff are great. Can’t go wrong here.

This location is fabulous, only a walk down to my sister’s house (same back street) but also very close to bus stop for others if catching bus. I’ve stayed over night in the hotel before and like it. I enjoy the dining area, food and how they have a kids play section is well done too. I only dislike the gaming area. Thumbs down for it and one star because A: no free coffee from a self service machine, have to buy one there B: I always get told off about something each time I’ve visited there from a gaming worker. I am a quiet person and go on my own. The staff are just too uptight and strict rather than being polite and welcoming their patrons there. I am from Tas C: The gaming area is the room to go to if you want to lose lots and feel bad energy. I never win there. Could be bad unfortunate luck, I have lost lots there each time I’ve visited. I’m put off once again from going, best to stay away from gaming at Wallaby. On a positive note, the rest of the hotel is quite good. Recommend the other bits for food and if you have kids, they’ll enjoy a play there in the hotel’s playground. It’s a shame about the gaming room otherwise I’d rate the hotel higher

Very disappointing. Had rum steak with surf and turf cost $42. What a rip off. Other guests at our table of 4 were finished their meals before mine was served. 3 prawns and 4 pieces of calamari for my topper that cost me $12. Meant to be a 250g rump lucky to be 200g. Steak was so tough and dry it was not eatable. My plate was not cleared from the table until we were about to leave. When I told the waitress how disappointed I was with the meal and the steak was terrible she offered me a drink. I declined and left. Now I know why I haven’t been to this pub in years and will not return

First time eating at this restaurant. Lovely bar staff. Knowledgeable, friendly, humorous, polite. We felt like we were amongst friends. The chefs were the same when I thanked them for our meals. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. Didn’t taste like ‘pub’ food at all. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and parking was easy. Really good quality and we will definitely be back to eat here!!! Thanks Wallaby for a great night out!!!

Great food, great service, nice ambiance! Really cool little playground for kids. Unfortunately for me, I was sitting too close to it, but being with a large group, I didn’t have much choice regarding seating. It was a warm and humid afternoon, so I would've preferred sitting inside in the air conditioning, but on a cooler day, the verandah tables would be fabulous.

This has to be one of these best meals I've had. Great portions, fantastic quality and nice and hot. Amazing service from the staff and overall our whole family of 9 all could not fault a single thing. We will definitely be back!!

We chose the Wallaby for my mother-in-law's Wake after her funeral. We chose a function room downstairs. The staff helped us choose suitable food platters - including gluten-free and vegan options. Bar staff were provided for those who wanted drinks other than tea or coffee. The food was delicious and plentiful. Recommend this Hotel.
