We (my 70 year old Mother and 10 year old daughter) had a great dining experience in the outdoor area while catching the NRL final on an incredibly massive outdoor TV screen. I was also pleased that soft drinks were served in generously sized glasses and did not cost a fortune, which is a rarity in some places. For a non-drinker like myself, this was a happy surprise. Before the NRL action kicked off, we were treated to some fun, country tunes performed by a very talented singer—truly exceptional! I regret not knowing about the singer earlier, as I would have arrived sooner just to enjoy his voice. The atmosphere I felt was a nice collection of locals, tourist and families, with little ones happily exploring, closely watched over by their parents—it created a warm and inviting ambiance. When it came to the food, I opted for the Ribs and was thoroughly satisfied. While my mother wasn't a fan of the cardboard containers most of the food was served in, it didn't bother me at all. Thankfully, her dish, the Barramundi, was presented on a plate, which made her dining experience suitable for her (she is in her 70s, after all). Looking forward to returning when we holiday next —a definite must-visit for its exceptional entertainment, great food, and family-friendly atmosphere.

After hearing it was under new management we decided to go up and have lunch. It had live music which created a nice atmosphere. Beverage wise lacked on the cider which the wife enjoys and just your usual tap beers. After ordering food it took an hour to arrive for a simple chicken burger and chicken schnitzel. I wouldn't say it was busy food service wise. There wasn't a lot of plates coming out. Also fairly basic meals that should be able to be churned out pretty quickly. Once received it was good. Just your pub grub done well. Schnitzel was on the small side. I'd say its probably $5 over priced for the portion size recieved. So all in all I'd say 6 out 10, they music got the score over 5. . . BUT.... this place does have the bones to be a fantastic live music venue if it can get the patronage. The new owners/management are caught between a rock and a hard place though. The place needs a fair bit of work (especially the outoor area) but you need the income to do this. It would probably help if they had yolo self serve QR codes on the tables. This would help with more efficient table service. So the jury is out. We'll give them a couple of months to find their feet and try again. Like I say the place has the ability to be a pumping venue, just needs to have the right management / marketing and facelift to make this a "go to" place to be.

Quaint motel with a bar, restaurant and pool. They have a bandstand with some great local talent that frequently play/practice there. Friendly staff, homely atmosphere, plenty of space for large groups or a more intimate gathering can also be catered for as well. We have a few car meets there & we always enjoy our time. They have delicious sweet potato chips and a few vegan friendly menu items. All in all, worth a visit to get the feel for a classic Aussie vibe.

The new upgrade has really brought this little country pub to life. What was before a fairly rundown establishment is now vibrant and lively. The smoker is simply amazing!! I'm definitely going to be coming back often now.

Great open air pub on the top of a hill. Also has gas heaters for when it gets a little chilly. Cold beer and a wide selection of smoked food from an enormous smoker. Live music stage. Dog friendly

The owners have done an amazing job at transforming the old run down country pub to one of the best pubs on the coast but still with the country vibe. Great venue, live music, awesome happy hour and the best Parmi I’ve had on the Coast! We will definitely be returning again and again.

Great Pub. The locals are very friendly, funny, and welcoming. Food is reasonable for the Gold Coast, and the Sunday Sessions under the Dome are always fun. Swimming pool with sun shade where you can listen to the band while you and / or your children can swim while still being supervised. Definitely worth a day out with the family and friends.

Smoker meat was like eating old leather, was so tuff, not tender at all, only thing they got right was the corn. New owner needs to learn people skills and clearly doesn't want people there with his poor attitude. The security looked like some blokes from the bar, not even compliant with security numbers on their shirts.

Not a bad spot. Band was really good, food was 7/10 pricing was ok. Hope they can keep getting people there so they can give it a reno. I'd imagine they could attract a bigger spending client with some upgrades to this great location.

Stayed here for 2nights (from Syd) & Alex & his crew couldn't have been more hospitable if they tried!! The rooms had literally "just" been reno'd & the kettle & telly (that got missed in the refurbish) were delivered within minutes of my request. The food at the bistro was delicious with generous portions & fairly well priced compared to some Syd pubs. The venue itself is perfect for events & parties with plenty of undercover area for inclement weather, a purpose built stage for entertainment & a rustic country kinda decor & vibe. The drinks could have been cheaper but I guess they have to pay for all the works they've done there somehow... We would most definitely stay here again👌

After a hike at Pages Pinnacle, we needed a late lunch and a cold beer! We got the Smoked meat platter for 2. It was delicious, with smoked brisket, crunchy wings, pork ribs, chips and coleslaw on a big plate. We sat in the beer garden and enjoyed an icy beer!

Sunday afternoon BBQ and live music was amazing. Ramjet played the tunes and they were exceptional, hopefully they will be a regular feature. The food was fantastic. We got the BBQ platter for two and it was delicious. Beautifully cooked and left us feeling full.

The overall vibe of the place was great, creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment. The staff were helpful and made the visit even more enjoyable. We will definitely return to the Beechmont Hotel.

The new owners have turned the old Advance Town Tavern into the hidden gem I always said it was and can be. The newly named and renovated Beechmont Hotel is a great place for families, catching up with friends, a function or just a chill on your own. Live music and always something new and different just about every day and night. I highly recommend you check it out, there's a curtisy bus incase you want to let your hair down. Well done to the owners. Management and Staff🥳🥳

This annual event is a must to see., im so happy my son just bought his new bike and got to be part of it . Beautiful area to visit in the wonders of surrounding bushland.🌞🤩

Great place to go and enjoy a drink and music. We were there for a fund-raising event and it provided a great environment. Didn't stay in the rooms but they looked ok when I walked passed them.

Was very disappointed with the meal. Ordered a "seafood basket". When it arrived what I could see on my plate was an over cooked frozen "seafood basket" from Coles, with a very basic salad and a few chips, at cost of around 25 dollars. I don't blame the cook's as they can only work with the products provided. The drinks were cold. Seems like most of the effort and attention is concentrated on the front bar and certain regulars. While the back bar and food area are left lacking.

Absolutely terrible. Worst hotel on the Gold Coast. Over priced, poor quality food and drinks. The owner and his family decided to have dinner there and the entire pub had to be quiet, no music or loud conversations. Will never spend another cent there, or their overpriced bottle shop in Nerang Fair, who has the rudest staff I've had the misfortune of encountering. If I could give a negative score, I would.

Had such a great time there, my friend & I just went for a Sunday drive & decided to stop in for a quiet drink & it was packed with a live band, great atmosphere, met some lovely patrons enjoying themselves too. Perfect way to spend a nice Sunday afternoon, I can't rate the accommodation as we were just going for a drive & I also bumped into an old work friend so it was great to catch up with him as well.

Came upon the hotel by chance. We went for a drive in the Gold Coast hinterland and saw the hotel on our map on the way back to the coast. There was a Sunday afternoon band playing, which is a regular gig. Lots of motorcyclists there as it is a wonderful ride up through the hills. The food was nice pub food. Staff are friendly. The music was great. I would recommend anyone living on the Gold Coast to check it out one Sunday. They also have motel accommodation and a camping ground nearby. There is also a dog area.

Went there for lunch for two: a seafood basket and chicken schnitzel. Ordered at 12. Waited over 2 and half hours for a basic counter lunch. (After asking for an estimated serve time an hour into the wait, and another hour later. )The seafood was a frozen selection. The food was tepid. .To be fair there was only 1 cook in the kitchen, and someone dishing up and doing front service This place is not to be recommended. We should have took the hint when multiple folk asked for refunds due to long wait time. Very dissatisfied

Haven't been there for so long. I took my girlfriend for Sunday lunch. We both had a delicious and hearty meal. It's so close to the Gold Coast, it's worth a drive up there. 👍👍👍

Wouldn't even rate it one star. Staff didn't know if the room was ready or not but gave us the keys anyway, found a mouldy salad container in the fridge which had stunk the room out. The toilet had a "hygienic seal" but upon opening, a blind monkey could see it hadn't been cleaned. Suffered noise throughout the night and couldn't sleep. Didnt stay the second night we were supposed to we found different accommodation. Wouldn't even bother to ask for a refund because guaranteed they would say no. Disgusting place. Would definitely not recommend ever!!!!

Im sorry to do it as I hate leaving bad reviews, I came with my family and my niece ordered the ribs to share, the plate was $40 and tiny! It barely fed her and she's 12. My mother in laws food had hairs in it and i ordered a plant based burger that had no mention of egg mayonaise in the description. Came smothered on both sides (i tried to scrape it off) I went to the kitchen and explained it wasn't on description and asked it they could make me another one without it and they told me I'd need to pay for a new one. Just really not good business. Wouldn't recommend it.

Waited 2 hours for chips and cheese pizza Definitely under staffed for the crowd. Otherwise good service, cold beer in clean glasses and great location for a day out

Went here for a friends birthday. It was a nice area to sit and chill with a few drinks with friends. Ordered some food from the kitchen and it was really nice the battle of the bands was on that night as well. It would have been improved with a better sound system. There’s even a pool. The rooms were basic but had everything you needed. Great views of the surrounding mountains

Welcome to the redneck part of the GC. Actually not bad food. Decent servings. Live bands. But a rougher crowd. Atmosphere for a beer garden... In Texas. An experience none of the less.

This place is a shadow of its former self. Looks.tired and very run down. Stopped in on the way back to the coast for lunch and the food was quite good, drink was cold so that was fine. Bar area and smoking section was in average condition.

  • 3/5 Kerri K. 1 year ago on Google
Went here today for lunch. The food was ok - but for a $20 lunch special I don't think it was worth it. Burger was ordinary. The calamari was nice but, as I said, for $40 bucks for the two, I wouldn't go back. Has a pool that you can use so for kids great perhaps a few bowls of chips and it would be a cheap couple of hours out.
