This is a really nice, warm and cosy restaurant and simple to locate. Very Italian oriented and large variety of starters and meals to choose from. The prosciutto pizza with rocket leaves and the bocconcini cheese in the middle is one of my favourites and worthy of a trial if you are unsure of what pizza to eat. The Nutella cheesecake is a delicious dessert to try rather than the traditional tiramisu. With moderate prices, there is a lot of good food to choose from. I heartily recommend this restaurant.

The pasta was delicious, we ordered the Alfredo with fettuccine, and the prawn pesto fettuccine. It was creamy, delicious and perfectly seasoned. The pasta came with 2 slices of bread each, and some parmesan grated ontop. The chili oil that is offered at the table was absolutely delicious on the bread. If you were "kind-of" hungry then then this pasta would fill you up, but if you were starving then you'd need a 2nd meal to fill you up. I also ordered the triffle oil pizza, it was just ok. I would never order it again, far too plain and boring. The customer service was excellent. The only issue I noticed throughout the night was that everyone in the restaurant that had ordered pizza was waiting for their meals for a while, which was really annoying because most people came with their partners, so whoever ordered pasta would get that first, and then whoever ordered pizza would get it 10mins later - which defeats the purpose of eating together at a restaurant. Meals should always be served at the same time. The drinks were really nice! We ordered lemon lime bitters and pink lemonade.

So be aware, if it says vegan on the menu, it isn't actually vegan, you can just make it vegan (unless they are our of vegan cheese, which they were tonight, in which case you can't). Also, sometimes you're told to take your buzzer and wait at the table. Don't do that, you'll never get your meal. Also, ask for cutlery, as often they give you one set for two meals. Other than that it's great :)

Very good pasta but incredibly crowded. They give you RFID card so that you can keep track of your orders and you have to line up at the kitchen counter to place your orders. The good news is that the pasta is made in front of you but the bad thing about this design is that you're stuck waiting in queue while they are servicing the person in front of you. You can't place your order and return to your table to wait for the meal to be prepared. I had the Ravioli which is quite good. The ambiance here is good and the kitchen staff make the meals to your order.

We came here for dinner after an afternoon of activities in the city. The place was quite nice and had a really good vibe. The pizzas were pretty good but a lot of the topping just fell off the pizzas and felt like had to eat the toppings with our hands and the pizza base after. The prices were reasonable and the drinks were great. Plenty of seating around if you want to being your family and the staff were really friendly.

We were attracted in by a large meal deal board advertising lunch for $19 with an additional $5 for a drink. As it was Sunday we were told upon ordering that this deal didn’t apply on Sundays! Makes one wonder why they put the board out??? If the deal isn’t on don’t trick people in pretending it is! (yes it says it lower down but still misleading). We waited for quite a while to be seated with my elderly mother. They appeared understaffed with lots of customers and only two wait staff running around frantically. The air con drips on your head/in your drink. We moved tables to escape it! The food was very tasty but one meal arrived a long time before the other meals. You can’t order coffee!! Whoever heard of Italian where you can’t get coffee? The impression we got was that they just wouldn’t want you to stay long enough to drink one! Also no one has time to do barista!! The waiter and waitress were doing their very best and were polite but they had too much to do. Lots of very loud dumping of cutlery in the kitchen as if someone was in a huge rush.. not very conducive to a relaxing meal. Music too loud to converse easily. The food was good but didn’t make up for the overall feeling of ‘hurry up eat and go!’ We came here to avoid the food hall experience but it didn’t really provide much contrast!

Lovely garlic bread and pizzas 🍕, speedy service, and friendly waiter. Very quiet when we arrived so not very atmospheric but quality of pizzas was reason we went here. You order off an app code on the table and pay when ur ordering, which seems odd in a sit-down restaurant ! The waiter assisted us as we had no wifi, and he pointed out the happy hour offers, so we got a lovely glass of Rosé for half price. Devoted is simple and calming, and you can see into the kitchen, so no messing there !!!

Had great experiences here in the past but at some point things have really gone downhill. This is the second time I’ve dined here in the past few months (once when the pop up store was operating and now in the “renovated” main restaurant) and both times the food has been disappointing despite the much smaller menu. The pasta has been undercooked and bland both times, and the pizza managed to be dry yet soggy at the same time. If this wasn’t already disappointing enough as someone who seriously loved this place, the fact that it seems to have gone completely cashless (don’t have an issue with this) but still kept their card surcharge is a bit sad. Don’t think I’ll be back for a while.

It was a good experience eating here, The food was delicious, waiting time was normal, The place looks clean and well organized, It wasn't noisy at all. The staff were helpful and polite. I recommend it.

Had a wonderful dinner at Vapiano with friends! All of our pasta dishes were fresh and made to order! The service was great and food came out very quick. Thankfully because we were 6 hangry girls after a long day of travel. One of the best meals I had while visiting Brisbane. Oh, and get the trio of dips antipasti!!

Pasta was delicious, but service was a little slow. Tables are super crowded. Although we ordered online using a QR code, one drink was forgotten and took forever to come after we asked for it again. Our deep dish pizza came out looking nothing like it should, and we were just given a free drink to compensate. Slightly disappointed.

Yeah, the new ordering system is really great -- apparently it's too complicated to check stock levels though. So if they're out of something, it's only AFTER after you fully complete and PAY for your order, THEN the staff will come over and offer you substitutes. This place used to be good. Don't bother coming here anymore, it's a joke.

My family and I went to Vapiano for dinner, but unfortunately based on our experience, I would not go again. The atmosphere and decor were good, and the staff we met were very friendly, but the order by app system did its best to depersonalise the experience. I ordered the creamy mushroom pasta, and the flavour was okay, but there was not enough sauce to properly coat the pasta. My wife had the risotto, which the chef managed to achieve the difficult task of both undercooking and burning. My son reported his Bolognese pizza was tasty, but the actual dish did not compare to the picture in terms of topping density. My daughter's margherita pizza was topped with the two smallest basil leaves I have ever seen. I am surprised it was allowed to leave the kitchen so indecently naked. The food did come out of the kitchen fast. Was quality sacrificed for efficiency? Overall, not good enough for the price. 2 stars.

Was really excited to finally eat here. VERY DISAPPOINTED. We waited for an hour and a half to get our order, which is just 2 pasta dish. The order was comin until we followed it up to one of the staff. Surprisingly, they brought the order out within 45sec! We waited for 1.5hrs only to eat within less than 20mins! Not even a single complimentary dish or anything. Terrible.

Over hyped, below the expectations. It was my second time. First times experience was okay ish while this time it was quite a disappointment. We ordered a few pasta and none taste good. The breads did taste good though. We as a group had spend easy 250+$ and when we asked for an extra sauce, we had to pay for it. Lol bad customer experience

We have had wonderful experiences at this store, however, this was not one of them. Our meal had to be chased up after 40 minutes of waiting, long after our dinner companions had finished eating, and who'd ordered just before us. When it arrived, it was dry and had an almost burnt taste. Hubby's was worse than mine. He's usually quite accepting but sent his back. I ate mine as it wasn't quite as bad but didn't really enjoy it like I usually would. The manager came over and was very lovely about it, replacing it and offering a free drink. That part redeemed them. One of our companions had pizza. He said it was good but not great like he expected. Overall very disappointing but the excellent follow-up service made up for some of it. We will eat there again, as it's not the usual.

This restaurant is a warm and cozy refuge from the city's hustle and bustle, with an Italian flavor! I ducked the flooding rain to come here for a hearty and slightly fancy pizza after a long day of work and the whole experience was great! The staff are attentive and friendly but balanced (they're not asking how your meal is every 5 minutes!). And if minimizing exercise is your thing, this place also has online ordering, allowing you to select and pay for everything without lifting your lazy self from the chair 🙂 For the alcoholics, there's a bar situated comfortably in the centre of the establishment just waiting for you to wander over and order a cocktail with your friends. As for the food? Well, if the chicken and bacon pizza I ate is any indication, it's absolutely delicious! Truthfully, mine wasn't the most picturesque dish, but it was scrumptiously filling and the flavor was glorious. Some of the pasta and salad dishes served around me looked spectacular! I wasn't waiting beyond 15 minutes (granted, I was there on a Monday). Price-wise, you can be satisfactorily watered and fed for $30, which is great value for money here. TL;DR. The food is delicious, the staff are happy and very kind, the vibe fits a chilled yet classy dinner venue that's also great for after-work drinks with friends, and all at a relatively cheap price. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Italian food. This place is great.

One of my favorite restaurants. There is a $15 lunch deal, which is great. Note, you might need to pay by card as this place orders via contactless QR code menu. The food is pretty nice for its price in the city. We've been here several times. It's our must-go restaurant when we visit the mall.

Screwed up the order big time. Cant handle busy time. They have changed food ordering, which customers now have to do through their phones on a website and the order comes to your table. This seems quite handy and saves time waiting in the queue. but boy, their staff need to be better trained to handle this. At the least the chefs to read the order properly. Order pasta with Tagliatelle and other extras. But the chef made the default one without any extras and spaghetti. when the order was sent back, got told that they ran out of Tagliatelle pasta. Well, then dont assume and make the order, instead send your staff to check with the customer if they are ok with spaghetti. Unless they just lied to me to save a remake. Poor customer service. Not going there again.

One of my favourite places to come and eat! I love the student discount and the staff has always been really kind. I’ve never had a bad experience here when it comes to the food.

It's not easy to find. But inside is a nice place. It was noisier than expected at my table, but it was probably because it was close to the bar zone. If you're after a romantic or calm date, just stay away from the bar zone. Unfortunately, the lasagna wasn't even close to filling my expectations. That's why I rate 3 stars. I found it so sad. However, the other dishes saved the night.

For $25 the portion size and quality is ridiculous. It came small, slightly warm and dry. Not impressed! If you’re going to do take away make sure it remains a reasonable temperature when it arrives at the destination!

A really nice place to dine out with a group or as a couple. Feels really fancy for the price. The pesto pasta I had was nice but not amazing. Over saucy and came out cold. Would go back to try the pizza though.

The upstairs area was not crowded on the day that I had lunch with my friend, which gave us the privacy we wanted. We ordered the lunch special (meal + drink), which we could not order on our phone so a server had to take our order on a tablet. This was a good thing as I much prefer ordering from a person. The server was very helpful and patient. The food serving was very generous but tasted average. Lovely atmosphere.

After a long day battling the unpredictable Queensland Summer weather I was in dire need of a comfort food induced dopamine fix. Fresh pasta was the call and Vapiano does it best. Simply delicious. We stopped in on a Tuesday evening and were seated promptly. Directed to the QR Code I spent this week's entire paycheck on some mozzarella garlic break, a pesto pasta dish, in gnocchi carbonara and a couple of drinks. Service was quick and the food was presented well. The portions were a decent size and I was left feeling stuffed. Perfect. Mission complete. If you like pasta, gnocchi and/or dopamine, then I can recommend stopping in and sampling the menu. Great experience.

Arrived at what I thought was a somewhat decent hour to be told they were shutting upstairs off and were only seating downstairs!!Not a great start as it was extremely warm and muggy inside as it was! Never the less we eventually got table service as chose not to use the app,ordered starters and 3 mains..the waitress was very friendly,knowledgeable and nice.The food came out all at once rather than starters first which started to make us feel a touch rushed even though people were continually arriving to eat!! I had the prawn gamberi which was fair, although i found the pasta not al denté and i chose fettucine..my partner had lasagna which was fair mainly cheesy not overly meaty..and his son had bolognaise with extra meat which was chicken as opposed to more mince,which i found unusual !!overloaded with tomato base and he chose spaghetti which was a bit better than the fettucine!! Drinks were fine two house beers and I had a pina colada which wasn't tasting as it normally would I don't know if it was the rum used but there was something in it a touch overpowering and bitter. Having been to other Vapianos this one i think has been the worst..purely based on food and the initial service!!For starters ,the cheese garlic pizza was very nice and so too were the chicken nibbles not too spicy and a little bit of a crunch to them!! Again very warm in this restaurant to a point of discomfort..a touch rushed so i recommend going before 8pm..specifically say how you like your pasta and let them know when being seated whether you are using the app to order(which consisted of scanning the QR code on the table)or would like table service otherwise you could be sitting there for a while. Again no restrooms on site off for a walk to go for a call of nature!! Enjoyable and pleasant but i've certainly had better in all areas!!

Excellent service and lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious and drinks were amazing. We’ve ordered the carbonara pasta, deep dish bolognese pizza, kids margherita pizza and cocktails. The pasta was served by Chef Mary, and it is the best in Brisbane! My hard to impress fuzzy eater daughter was giggling over their reindeer shaped pizza and wanted to go back again. I also won’t forget the lychee martini, it is perfect! Definitely recommend this place, a hidden gem in Brisbane CBD!

I visited this restaurant for the first time the other night. Firstly, we were greeted by the nicest staff, it felt very laid back but professional. It had a great atmosphere and was super clean and modern. I was taken upstairs by the friendliest guy with long black hair. I had a prawn pasta and everything in it was super fresh and the prawns and pasta cooked perfectly. They kept checking on my table and making sure everything was looked after. I had such a great experience and can't wait to go back. ...also, the music was great ☺️

Unfortunately not great. Ordered, then later advised they had run out of fettuccine. I saw they had to tell lots of people this. You can add ingredients when your order which is good, however I added spinach thinking it would be stirred through the pasta.. but it was just put on top, which was odd. Bread wasn’t toasted. Sauce was good flavour but not enough and dry, so it didn’t cover the pasta enough. Staff were nice and good interior. Overall just a miss.

I was here for happy hour, and had a very filling deep dish garlic pizza for $10 (happy hour price). Although it's advertised as a starter, it was definitely a meal in and of itself. So good food, cheap price.

The drinks were really good and let's not talk about food. Omg the pizza was yummmmm and my friend ordered spaghetti and she just couldn't stop eating. It was mind-blowing. The staff was excellent! They served us a drink for free as well. Hahaha.

Food was very good, albeit very expensive and they said there was a deal on the website. However, when I showed up and asked if I could get the discount they said it's only available on weekdays even though on the website it's not reflective of that. Overall the experience was good. However, as mentioned before, the price is very high and not recommended for people who just want a quick bite.

Cute place but omg overpriced and really really tasteless. I got the vegan mushroom pasta and tried so hard to enjoy but it tasted like nothing. I put salt and pepper to try to enjoy but eek. The entree comes same time so pointless and small. This is the third time I have come here in a couple years and everytime I think it'll be good and it disappoints. $34 and unsatisfactory.

Great cozy & relazing atmosphere, but the food is not worth the price. It took 30 minutes for us to get our pizza and some of the slices had no toppings on them.

That was the worst risotto I have ever had in my life. I never waste food, but I could not even bring myself to eat most of this. We usually go to Vapiano at Garden City and that is top notch! This one in the city was absolutely trash. Even the pasta that we could stand to eat was Iike eating a shoe. The only reason you got 2 stars is because your staff are absolutely lovely, I hope you pay them well.

Great for catch ups, food is good. Service is as you would expect from restaurants that use QR code ordering systems - feels a little impersonal, but the staff are always pleasant if you flag one down. Go before 6pm if you want a quiet early dinner, or after 6pm for quicker drinks (more staff on both floors)

I used to very much enjoy coming here, the food was always so consistent, and the service was always wonderful and would leave me to feel happy and satisfied upon leaving everytime, but ever since you have revamped, I can't help to leave feeling disappointed and a little ripped off i'm sorry. The standard of food has dropped, and the wait times have worsened, why is there now a surcharge to pay by eftpos? When ordering, boxes were ticked to include add-ons to the dishes, but then the food arrived without the add-ons, and it just doesn't taste as tasty or the same as your classic dishes before. I miss the old system and feel that Vapiano won't any longer be my favourite pasta place to dine at, I wish it never had come to this.

Had lunch here yesterday with my husband and our friend and was incredibly impressed with the difference of the food quality and ambiance since they’ve updated their ordering system!! 😊 Back then, each person who enters Vapiano was handed a card that you present to the chef when you order. Details of your order is saved in that card. The ground floor used to be VERY busy. People used to walk around scanning the ground floor and the top floor looking for a place to sit. Others wait for their food to be made which is annoying because there really was no waiting area - people used to wait where others line up to order. Once you’ve found a place to eat and have finished your meal, you then have to go back to the counter and present your card and pay. The system is different and much better now! As you enter the restaurant, you can choose where you want to sit. We came in around 3PM so it wasn’t that busy. There is a QR code on every table that you scan and it will take you directly to a website where you can order AND pay for your food and drinks. No more lining up and waiting!!!! Our drinks arrived 5 mins after we ordered. Service was really quick this time! When the food arrived, I thought it was presented much better. It didn’t look rushed and everything just tasted more RICH and full of flavour! We ordered the Truffle Aioli Pizza, Carbonara, Pollo Amatriciana, Aglio E Olio, and an Antipasti Board. 🍕 🍝 Vapiano NOW is so much better! I suggest that if you’ve had a different (or bad) experience before, it will be great to visit now and give it another chance!!! You won’t regret it!!!! 😇

Food is amazing, great vibe

A great Italian restaurant to grab a quick, easy and tasty lunch. Our food came in 10min after ordering it through the super easy website. Great portion size for the price and I have paid double for a far less tasty pasta dish. I ordered the carbonara with extra mushrooms. I would highly recommend. We ordered the truffle oil pizza and it was on point. I was also impressed with the service. The wait staff were attentive and really fast. The manager even came and checked on us which you don’t get much these days from restaurant managers. Overall this was an awesome experience and I will be returning to Vapianos very soon.

Concept here is interesting, get your food prepared by your favorite in house chef. Queue up and order directly to the chef and get the tweaks done to you food right away. What Did I Try ➡️Pasta = Aglio E Olio ➡️Pizza = Fungi What Did I Like ? ➡️ Fresh Soft Base of the Pizza ➡️ Portion Size is Large for 1 What Could Be Better ? ➡️ My pasta felt very dry after a few minutes and felt the something could be improved. Not sure if there needs to be a saucy texture added to it. Leave that to the chef to improve.

It's as if, without their usual kitchen with an automatic noodle timer, the chefs here dont know how to cook al dente noodles. Ordered pasta from the creamy pasta menu and the noodles were undercooked and overall dish was not creamy at all!!! So the pasta was super dry and hard and they actually served this to customers. Very disappointed. It was once a great place now a third class joke for an Italian restaurant. Sorry but we will not be coming back.

I had a much better experience then last time. Food was good, service was good. Ordering experience could be better. Due to recent push to limit contact order is online. Which it self was fine but does not allow for some customisation. Or just to add some notes to drinks or dishes would go a long way..

Why do you have a phone number that doesn’t connect, can’t be texted to and can’t be answered? Even called the Bne and GC Vapiano’s and all they had was this mobile number. Why self sabotage? I’m happy to change this review once you have a legitimate phone number to contact you on. On a side note, I really hope that your new renovations means that we no longer have to stand in line and wait and wait and wait and then watch food get made. I really couldn’t care less for that outdated novelty. I just want to come and be with my friends and family and just sit at a table and just wait for the food to be brought; or give me a buzzer and I’ll come and collect it; but I do not want to stand in line - that business model is sooooo not good and a time waster. Don't understand what the hype and popularity of this place is about. Not the worst Italian food but definitely a long way off from being one of the best. Ordered carbonara, bolognese, truffle oil pizza, antipasti board and drinks and the drinks were the best part of our meal.

My favourite meal is their Mushrooms, Risotto.🤤

An absolute joke. New renovation means new charges. Prepare to be charged up to 21 cents extra surcharge everytime you buy an item. They demand you pay online, which is also a security risk to your card numbers being skimmed. Disgraceful.

Straightforward electronic ordering system (contactless, with phone), whilst ordering with a person still available if you're so inclined. Food was ok, but well priced. Good atmosphere.

Both meals were served cold, majority of the pasta was undercooked and stuck into clumps, tasteless and over all digusting. I used to love vapianos but i will never dine here again. Based on other reviews this was not an isolated incident. There were no available staff to talk to about the quality of my meal. I cant think of anything nice to say about my visit today other than the sole person who greeted us was cheerful and kind. *** I have had food poisoning since yesterday. Absolutely disgusted in you lot.

Fresh and delicious pasta and pizza as always. Attentive and quick service. I wish they serve the pizza and pasta in a hot plate to keep it warm.

It took more than 1 hour to get our food and surprisingly it came cold as well, really poor service compared with some previous vapiano experience.

Absolutely appalling. Not only did it take an hour to receive our food, but it was also cold, made incorrectly and friends at the same table who ordered after us received their food first. We love the Mount Gravatt Vapiano’s so this was really disappointing.

Multiple orders messed up. Huge wait times. One person's food didn't arrive for over 1 hour 40 minutes before we decided to get a refund and leave.

Over an hour wait to get drinks, which we then had to ask for at the bar as no wait staff could be found. Another half an our and still no entrees when we asked for a refund and left. Extremely poor service and no staff member seemed to care at all.

Interesting place, that I had to wait over an hour for my food to be ready, my friends got it first earlier when we order at same time, which isn't fair when I'm very starving, and poor services, get the food messed up. Worst thing, you can't avoid the surcharge, which it's ridiculous, very ridiculous. The pizza i ordered, it doesn't have enough cheese as usually I came before. So, i don't recommend to go this place when it's very busy

Called multiple times to talk to someone over the phone but no one picked up or called back since they are opened at 11.30 am

Zero truffle on the truffle pizza. Not much interest on advice of that either. Good zero contact COVID ordering system. Slow service.
