Great atmosphere, quaint and stirred visceral feelings of legendary venues. Saw the legendary Johnnys and was not disappointed. Staff were friendly and crowd well mannered and easy going. Great night! It's awesome to have a choice of dining venues when you come out as well.

I have never been to a bar more welcoming to all than Vinnie's. A much needed breath of fresh air for the alt music community, and a very welcome one at that. Karaoke nights are a big up in my book. They book some of the best local and national talents to come play their newly reno'd stage area. You don't need to travel to brissie to get the best anymore, it's right here in our own backyard.

We went to China town area in Gold Coast and we decided to stop a drink. We founded Vinnies Dive Bar, it’s great and different place to enjoy some beers and live bands. Drinks are well priced and the staff very friendly. Good bar if you like original live music, spend good time with friends. It’s a great and interesting place!

Fantastic place for locals, great venue with excellent live artists/ music and super star staff. Don’t go if you’re a snowflake

Went to Vinnies dive bar to watch Aussie indie band, Telenova. The venue is small but "cosy" and likely to hold 200 people. Basically two rooms with a stage each and a shared bar at the rear. Small courtyard and smoking/vaping area out back. Venue supports Australian acts however does attract the odd international. This venue doesn't pretend to be anything other than a small live music venue that supports the arts and music in all its forms. No food onsite however many awesome food places nearby. Best to use public transport as only street parking nearby. Tram station directly out front of the venue. If you love the arts and local music, definitely check this place out.

What a great and interesting place. Bless them for supporting original live music. We’ve been here a few times to see various bands, staff are friendly, drinks taste good, and the atmosphere is iconic. Can get a bit loud, so bring your earplugs if that bothers you.

Small live venue. Now that they have moved the pool table out of the main band room you can actually stand in there. If youre after a seedy live music experience this is the venue for you. A true local music hive. They support local and live music and people should support them. Always decent beers on tap too.

What can I bloody tell ya. These buggers are the best thing since goon bags were invented. I've had the pleasure of going on a rippa a few times at this joint now. Staff are polite the owner Glenn and his Mrs are so accommodating and polite. Glenn even personally cooked me a works burger feom his personal kitchen. Cheers legend, turn it up. Mad joint yeow

Went to this Bar last night and saw two great Ska bands . First time that I’ve been to Vinnies but what a fantastic bar. It reminds me of the Cavern, yes I know the Cavern is iconic, but Vinnies could be called the Cavern’s little cousin, with its black walls and it’s brilliant vibe. Also a big thanks to the Vinnies staff they were great !

Best Night Club on the Gold Coast. There is always a great time had here. Great music, great atmosphere and lovely staff. One of my regular haunts.

Really great intimate atmosphere and really well organised for a small venue. Staff were fantastic. Would recommend ear protection for sure (although that's always a good idea if you're seeing live music).

Epic venue, staff are amazing. A hidden gem amongst the usual Southport. Definitely recommend visiting for a pint!

Oh what a great place! I have been searching for a like this for so long since I moved to Australia. Can’t believe it took me 8 years to know about Vinnies. I love watching bands play live, walls covered with posters, graffitis with all sort of messages and old arcades. But honestly more like 4 stars out of 5 cuz the floor wasn’t sticky like my friend said it would be. 😂 Jokes. Definitely coming back more often! 🤘

Cute live music bar in Chinatown, surfers paradise! Friendly staff and patrons. Large selection on tap. Probably the most important venue on the gold coast for indie/alt/punk etc. Vinnies gives the GC a much needed venue for alternative culture. Not to be missed

The BEST venue on the GC by far.. a god send to those of us that can't stand the pop music overload that is here.. AMAZING staff top it off.. Cannot thankyou enough for an amazing day...will definitely make this a regular stop on our annual holiday for my birthday from now on...wish I could give more than 5 stars

Absolute best venue and best staff on the coast! Specific shoutout to Bailey, Cas & Tyler for providing top tier private event coordination and hosting. 10/10 cocktails, customer service and overall vibe. Would definitely come and consume too much great quality booze again! Their gigs are pretty excellent too.

Brilliant Gold Coast live venue for local and international artists

OK bar, but quite squashed & small. Uninspired, unimaginative, boring & just plain BAD drag shows. Terrible hair & makeup (except one queen whose makeup was great), awful 'shows'. The music was so loud it was distorted u couldn't hear a thing - the music, the shows, or each other within our group. It all became such a headache causing mess that I'm actually glad the evening ended early. The whole reason u have an outdoor area is to try & have somewhere on premises that smokers can go. Instead the smokers were shoved out on the footpath in front of the bar. It was a really unattractive look...not to mention the cigarette butts.

Had an awesome night listening to live music. The talent was mind blowing. The service at the bar was fantastic. Its a small venue. Intimate and just a good night out.
