Quite a nice area. It is well shaded and has great paths for people to walk on. The bridges are mostly nice and one afternoon I saw a truly enormous number of bats hanging from tree branches. Enormous! A few anecdotes - Every time I go to one side area where there is a small play area with swings there is a young girl there swinging away. No phone. No book. Just swinging. I finish walking the dog and sheโ€™s still swinging. I hope her home life is ok. I once saw a guy hit his dog. I didnโ€™t like that. He was across the river so I only saw it and didnโ€™t say anything. I suppose that makes me a coward. There is a wooden helicopter in one park and I will say that my (then) 10 month old daughter loved it. There is a rainforest area which I havenโ€™t yet explored. More people than I would expect walk dogs with muzzles. So like why have them because if they need to be muzzled they ainโ€™t safe bro. Old people love saying โ€œgood morningโ€ and โ€œgood afternoonโ€ and I love saying it back. Nice park

Great place to take all kids. Lots of short walks. A couple of playgrounds. Lots of animals to hear. You can see Fruit Bats birds and if very lucky small wallabies or lizards.

A number of different animals can be spotted here, from the ever present scrub turkeys to an array of other birds. However the most spectacular sight is when you walk the main path and come across several trees that are inhabited by flying foxes. Amazing! During the day the sleeping animals seem like hundreds of huge seed pods hanging from the trees. If you come here at dawn you can witness the bats returning from their "night out". It's an experience I'd highly recommend.

We started from the Downfall Creek Bushland Centre. Lots of parking, plus a playground and toilets. Walks are mostly flat, very easy. Some steps on one of loops, but are very wide so can navigate a pram on them. Very pleasant slice of bushland so close to city. We saw a number of animals - wallabies, bats, birds etc.

Great playground and the walking track was a hit with my daughter. She loved finding the numbers. She still talks about this place several weeks after and wants to go back.

Dog friendly, child friendly, bike friendly, mobility and visually impaired friendly....what a great reserve. Listen out for the bats and follow the sound to see 100s of them roosting overhead.

We had a lovely family bbq here,4 free BBQ's to use,a 1km bush walk and other bush tracks, playground for the kids and basketball court as well... The Bush Turkey's and magpies ,and maybe other animals will come say hello when cooking...We all absolutely loved it.. Don't forget the aeroguard for the mozzies as the sun goes down...

Always a beautiful place to Visit. The BCC gardeners do a great job down there but sometimes parking is an issue. Great BBQโ€™s and covered shelters plus an awesome playground for the entire family to enjoy.

Perfect walk, especially if you have younger kids. My 3 boys aged between 18months-6yrs love it, they take along their scooters. At the end there is an awesome park, sensory walk, bbq area and a basketball court.

Well thought out parkland from the community garden and compost area to the great kids playground and nature path. There is ample coverage for parties and has a mini outdoor concert area aswell. The only downside is the amount of mosquitoes who look like roided out gym bunnies

I grew up in McDowall and lived just down the road from Raven Street Reserve. I spent my days with other children in my street playing in the bush making cubby houses, bike jumps and walking in the bush bare foot I wouldn't do that now. I have fond happy memories of living and enjoying Raven Street Reserve. I too this day still walk along the path with my parents, Support Worker and Occupational therapist. I recommend Raven Street Reserve too everyone and I hope everyone experiences the same thing I did and enjoy Raven Street Reserve as much as I did most of my life.

One of the best hidden treasure parks. A small but beautiful park that also has walks that can lead you all the way up to Aspley. The equipment is well made , in great condition and themed great. Attached to the resource center which has a lot of valuable local information in regards to wildlife and gardening.

We came for the geocaches (found all four!), and stayed for the recently upgraded playground at the bushland centre. We hadnโ€™t visited in a couple of years, and it is *vastly* improved. For the reserve itself: The walking/cycling paths are paved and very mobility friendly, except for a couple sets of stairs, but there are alternative routes. The scenery is niiiice, particularly if youโ€™re as partial to Xanthorrhoeas as I am, and the serenity is A+ (save for the frequent encounters with nuclear families arguing over which path is the one they need to take, followed by a second encounter as they backtrack after realising they shouldโ€™ve listened to the kids). If you want a bigger walk, head North to the top of the reserve, up the long staircase alongside Raven St (no alternative route for this one Iโ€™m afraid), and over the wildlife bridge across Hamilton Rd. Go up that hill (another staircase, in the second photo, or take the water tank service road) and check out the new Milne Hill lookout - especially at sunset. You might also see some wallabies on your way back down at that time of day.

Lovely shady forest park. Interactive family forest app available for exploring. I havent tried it but looks like a fun way to explore the surrounds. The playground is really lovely and encourages imaginative play

A very nice walking track but recommend not to walk by yourself as I was met by a strange man walking by.

I took my grandson and we had the best time. He is nearly three but there were all ages there. Great sensory trail, the playground has recently been updated - so much to do and see. It would also be a great place for a picnic or bar b que!

This is a beautiful Park with great amenities. Includes a lovely environmental walk for all. Even suitable for wheelchairs. The children's playground equipment is fantastic. With swings. ๐Ÿ˜Š There is a great picnic area and bbq facilities for several families. There is mostly bush land to explore but some grassed land to run around. Toilets also.

Nice simple walking area, remarkably clean. Took the dog for a little walk and she seemed interested in a lot of the trees and paths. Saw a greenish-grey medium sized kangaroo - not a breed I'm familiar with, though I'm not overly familiar with Queensland wildlife. Although initially very beautiful, you quickly notice just how small the area is, and how void it is of any diversity. Nice area to walk to get the feeling of being away, but probably not worth traveling over 5 minutes to get there.

This a norther suburbs gem that few know about. Great for a Dunday afternoon walk in nature without a long drive to get there. Bike trails and walking trails, which link up with the fauna bridge across Hamilton Rd. From there you can hike up to the water tower for great views.

One of the many small suburban bush reserves that dot Brisbane, and make it such an enjoyable city for early morning walks. Located along the Downfall Creek bikeway which forms part of the Mountains to Mangroves shared pathway corridor. Sealed shared bike and pedestrian paths with branching walking only paths. Stop in at the Downfall Creek Bushland Centre for path information, toilet and BBQ facilities.

Excellent spot conveniently located in Brisbane's northern suburbs, great to get closer to nature while going on bike rides or walks. If you're lucky - like me - you can spot wallabies

(Translated by Google) A good place to hike It was a wonderful and wonderful experience to see many bats hanging on the trees. If you do not have a car, you will need to take a bus to the nearest stop and walk for about 10 minutes. If it's hot, you'll have to go through a hill and sweat.
