An excellent adventure playground, heaps of activities to keep the kids busy. They have changed to paid car parks, but never enough to accommodate the weekends. Loads of tables and BBQ facilities, but doesn't hurt to bring a camp chair or blanket and find a good grassy spot. Large oval to kick the ball and right on the water, has outdoor shower and heaps of water fill stations. There is also a public boat ramp and jetty to cleat your dinghy to.

Good, nice park. Usually not so busy which is awesome. Early morning you can see here people hiking and jogging. The water is close and you can take some nice pictures here plus you can see some small boats. Good area for a hike, combined with broadwater its really long.

A fantastic initiative by the Gold Coast council that provides an amazing area for families. Incorporating play areas, BBQ facilities, rock pools, a water park, restaurants, walking & cycling trails there is something for everyone young or old.

Very quiet and peaceful, easy to park at and great view of southport and the bay. There are also many kids parks across the walk. Would recommend!

Such a beautiful peaceful new spot. Have lived here 12 years never come here. They have this amazing new play ground fir toddlers and kids.

The jewel of the crown for Southport. A very well run operation with plenty of things for families to do . Parkland , BBQ, Picnic areas, Gym equipment, playgrounds . Located on the Broadwater and opposite Australia Fair. It gets very very busy on the weekends so plan ahead as parking is at a premium.

It's a nice place to play but please advise your kids to wear shoes especially in the tidal areas. The amount of kids I've seen running out with bloodied feet from sharp rocks and molluscs disturbing.

Mitchell park is definitely a wonderful place to go with the kids and the family. The activities are great and the day will just fly by. Seriously amazing!

Got a playground for kids, a great boat ramp, huge open space in the centre, got 4 BBQs, a toilet, free drinking water dispensers, near Aquatic centre, however the trees are still small. I think when they all grow big there will be plenty of shade and it will be nicer.

Unbelievable for a family experience with young children night time it's all lit up you should have your family there Enjoying all it has to offer

Great place for picnic..lights are good and is a family friendly park. Love it here...

2hr limit paid parking doesn't accept coins and council regularly hands out fines.
