It's hard to know whether it was the staff or the food that was the highlight of Bottega... Both were divine and delightful. Traditional Italian flavours served with traditional Italian hospitality! Between us we had a range of starters and mains and all were hearty and flavoursome. Paired with recommended wines and served with warmth and flair, the night was great. A definite must-reyurn, highly recommended.

Just like when I was born, this was a happy mistake.. The delivery driver gave us somebody else's order. I'm definitely not complaining though, even though I had my heart set on the meatballs I received the Rigatoni pasta instead. When I called, the lady who answered knew exactly what happened. She was great about it too. Some things are just out of their control once it leaves with the delivery app drivers. I hope the person who got my meatballs enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed their Rigatoni pasta. When they say slow cooked for 6hrs, it really is. If you saw my Italian dad bod (strange because I'm not a dad) you'll realise I love my pasta and know when a pasta is authentic. My brother ordered the chicken Calzone, he was impressed. Their pizza dough is very unique too, in a great way. It's hard to explain so it's best to give it a go for yourself You must give this place a try, you won't regret it! Thanks for the great feed! I'll add in, it's hard to take a decent picture of pasta once the cheese is added 🙃 Cheers James

We dined here tonight as a pre-birthday celebration, and had been wanting to try it for a while. We are very glad we finally did, as everything was wonderful! The atmosphere was cosy but classy, warm and rustic but modern. The noise level was not too loud despite it being very busy. The welcome, drink service and meal service were all excellent, and all staff were lovely. The menu had a lot of delicious-sounding options, one of which I was so happy to try - crab tortellini with lemon and chive sauce. I LOOOOVE crab filled pasta and the last time I had this kind of meal was in Boston, USA in 2017! So yummy! We will definitely return, and for anyone from Melbourne who dines in the Bayside area, the Bottega here feels like a trendy version of Botticelli in Church Street, Brighton (which we also love). Delicious!!!

Incredible food and a lovely dinning experience. The meatballs were superb and the Veal Rigatoni amazing but the highlight was the White Chocolate Cream Brûlée that was polished off within 2 min of being brought to the table. The staff are so welcoming and checked on our table several times I highly recommend it and we will definitely be back

We were looking for a good restaurant which was out of the main hustle of Surfers and some friends recommended The Bottega on Chevron Island. Booking was a breeze and we walked to the venue. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The food menu was extensive and and consisted of classical Italian dishes , along with a few nightly specials and that was accompanied by a great wine list. Overall, when the food arrived it was amazing and we had absolutely nothing to complain about. We will definately make a point of visiting Bottega when we are in Surfers again. Oh yea, I'd recommend booking, its very popular with the locals and visitors who in the know!!

The staff and food were exceptional - especially the pizza and seafood. Kym and everyone really treat you just like family. And our two boys got free ice cream for doing the word puzzle!

This part of surfers paradise has some great restaurants in one block. I settled for bottega and it didn't disappoint. Was very busy so I'd recommend booking

A beautiful evening - the atmosphere delightful. The food is so so yummy. The highlight, even greater than the superb food is the team of welcoming and friendly staff. Couldn’t ask for a better evening 😁

Attended a women’s networking event at Audi which finished around 9pm and wanted to grab a bite to eat. Luckily, bottega was still taking orders so after a quick call to advise we were on our way. Was keen to try Bottega as I’ve not been overly impressed by other GC Italian restaurants. I opted for the sausage meatballs and as a dish on their own was enough for me. Rich in flavour and a decent serving meant I was happy. Friendly staff - can’t wait to go back!

“Don’ t bother” Customer service was very bad, the waiter did not have a personality and if he did he was very unwelcoming and unpleasant. Very disappointing as most Italian restaurants are very welcoming and vibrant. On top of this, food came out later, much later: Two mains came out first and finished before the final 3 arrived. The food is certainly not worth the price. The restaurant just wants your money, “exactly what he told my mother when she said this experience was very disappointing.” The nerve to say that to customers, very unprofessional, and disrespectful as business. Would not recommend this place for families or anyone in general. Theres plenty of great Italian restaurants in the area.

We were visiting the Gold Coast during schoolies, so wanted to get away from the crowds. Friends suggested this lovely place on Chevron Island. We booked, and were happy to sit outside, but it was crowded so I’d suggest booking on Friday or Saturday. Fabulous food, and great service by friendly staff. I enjoyed the two specials, Stuffed zucchini flowers and squid ink pasta with seafood sauce. A glass of their Sangiovase made the meal perfect It was a great choice!

From the moment we entered our hosts for the next 90 minutes spoilt us. The Calamari, with flavours that amazed. A true Italian craft beer. She had the strip steak medium rare and seafood stew for me. Both mains tasted fantastic, and the accompanying rosemary potatoes a perfect addition. A lovely refreshing French Rose rounded off the main course. A taste of their home made Tiramisu is a must. Others we have eaten at claim to be the best Italian on the coast but their claims are unfounded. Bottega truly claims this spot.

We were heading to the Gold Coast and decided to stop at Chevron Village for a quick bite. Bottega had been recommended to us before, but we'd never gotten around to trying it. Upon arrival, we checked out the menu which offered a delightful mix of dishes in classic Italian style. It was 6:50 pm on a Saturday. Sandra greeted us warmly and mentioned that the restaurant was fully booked, with patrons expected to arrive soon. However, she was gracious about it. Just as she began suggesting alternative places, they received a cancellation. Like our already perfect day, our luck persisted and we were offered a great spot outside. Upon being seated, our kids were given colouring pages to keep them engaged. They were treated with kindness, a refreshing experience as some restaurants aren't as accommodating to children – a stance we've never quite understood. For the kids, we ordered a pizza which was modified to have a milder salami, ensuring it wasn’t too spicy for them. For starters, we chose the crab bruschetta and sardines. Our main course was a seafood pizza, generously topped with prawns. The highlight of the night, however, was the roasted half duckling. After being satisfied, there was still enough left for both kids to help finish. Highly recommend Bottega for its impeccable service, great food, and inviting atmosphere.

An incredible experience!! We arrived late after a local event only for the pizza chef to come back in (literally) to make our pizza with love! Flavours were on point and service to absolute perfection! We will definitely be back with some friends!! Only fault - quality of pasta but the flavours were immaculate! WaIt staff were sensational! Thanks so much team!

I have been to this place place already a few times and i would say is one of my top 3 italian restaurants world-wide.. typical small family owned and served place with inhouse hand made ingredients, tucked in a residential area (not a tourist resto), with a classy environment where you won't go wrong. Tons of parking beside... better to book as it gets full always.
