The
other
half
and
I
visited
the
Cardiff
Bay
area
recently
and
decided
to
check
out
the
internet
for
local
gay
bars
in
the
area,
We
found
that
Eagle
was
close
by
and
decided
to
take
an
impromptu
trip
in
and
scope
the
gaf
out!
We
was
greeted
by
friendly
door
staff
who
treated
us
no
differently
from
any
other
venue
and
being
that
Eagle
is
a
new
environment
to
us
we
sat
ourselves
down
out
of
the
way
with
a
drink
and
took
in
the
atmosphere.
We
drank
alone
and
chatted
for
about
5
minutes
before
the
owner
introduced
himself
and
the
establishment,
we
liked
this
because
we
didn't
feel
like
we
had
our
throats
jumped
down
as
soon
as
walk
in
but
at
least
we
didn't
have
to
wait
long
before
somebody
recognised
the
two
lost
Londoners
and
come
over
for
an
evening
of
friendly
conversation;
He,
his
staff
and
other
guests
really
reflected
that
community
belonging.
On
the
topic
of
community
its
fair
to
say
that
the
bar
does
unite
under
the
gay
male
identity
so
it
may
not
be
as
appealing
to
the
other
members
of
the
LGBTQ+
community
however,
I
have
no
doubts
that
any
guest
would
be
respected
and
well
treated.
Finally
my
reason
for
giving
four
stars
rating
is
purely
based
on
venue
size,
I
am
used
to
larger
environments
and
once
I'm
used
to
a
venue
I
feel
I'd
like
to
drift
about
and
see
more
people
and
scenery
but
as
a
visitor
from
time
to
time
there
is
nothing
wrong
with
small
doses!
I
wish
to
be
back
soon
Eagle!
