😠 Great hospital wonderful staff. So why have they employed aggressive parking company, the most litigious in the country, to police the parking? I parked two weeks ago for 45 minutes to take my 91 year old mother to her appointment. Carefully put my number plate details into the tablet as requested.... People often mention hospital, appointment, staff, parking, emergency, cancelled, hours, helpful,

Great hospital wonderful staff. So why have they employed aggressive parking company, the most litigious in the country, to police the parking? I parked two weeks ago for 45 minutes to take my 91 year old mother to her appointment. Carefully put my number plate details into the tablet as requested. Today received two identical letters fining me £85. Have no idea why. No way of talking to anyone. Have had to leave it with the hospital receptionist to deal with. Poor service. Added stress when unnecessary.

If you could do minuses for this place i seriously would be I've had enough of being messed around. If you plan on having your child/you plan on using the orthodontist here then i strongly advise against it as even if you get am appointment it's likely to be cancelled, in addition to further issues with the place. These are my personal issues with the place though. My brace broke the same day they put my brace one, went in for an emergency appointment where it was fixed, it broke again whilst i was still in the appointment, then after they got it fixed it wasn't even 2 hours before it broke again (i hadn't eaten or drunk anything), and in all honesty my mouth hurt and i can only get appointments on a Thursday and it usually takes a few weeks before an emergency appointment can even be arranged (clearly broken brace stabbing your mouth isn't that big an emergency) so i decided to tough it out till my next actual appointment in March. Turned up to it overjoyed because my brace was finally going to be fixed to then find out, guess what that it had been cancelled, but oh, it gets better, they had cancelled my appointment over A MONTH before the actual appointment date, better still they only thought it necessary to send a letter informing me of this THE BLOODY DAY BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT! Like ummm, somehow i don't think that's going to arrive in time, every heard of calling people?! After all you have my number and i then wouldn't have wasted over an hour driving to you for you to say opps your appointment is cancelled and i'm so sorry but we can't fit you in for an emergency so you'll just have to continue the mouth shredding process and wait until your next appointment in MAY! I cried from sheer angry when i was in the car but were polite to the receptionist as it's not their fault. SOOO my May appointment has finally come around after months of pain and guess what? Its only gone and been cancelled on me again! Oh and better still have i received a letter? Nope. A call even? No. So how may you ask do you know your appointment has been cancelled, only because i phoned them to double check that i still had an appointment and the time so i didn't waste 2 hours of my life driving for an appointment that they have decided to cancel for me! I wonder when this cancellation letter will arrive, or has it even been posted yet? So my next 'official' appointment is in JULY which if i cannot get an "emergency" appointment will be around 5 months my braces have been broke and hurting my mouth, as well as it being 5 months without the correct treatment plan, 5 months if not longer that i'll now have to wear braces for, and good knows how many months correcting the issues that will have arisen due to teeth being pulled in front of the tooth with the broken brace. So no i'm not happy. This place is dire, and the amount of negligence and sheer lack of care is astonishing. I plan on asking for a transfer to somewhere different in the hopes that they provide better treatment as this just takes the piss and is utterly unacceptable.

Excellent hospital, all the staff were so nice and extremely helpful. I normally attend a large hospital for my appointments, but now would choose this hospital every time. All I needed was done at the same time, no moving from department to department. Took half the time it normally takes, and free to park. Brilliant hospital and excellent staff.

I've thankfully only had to use the birthing centre and dental centre. The staff are always helpful and friendly, and we're thankful that we don't have to travel far to get here. Keep up the great work!

I can't praise the treatment I was given highly enough. I was very taken aback that my Surgery at Marlborough wasn't able to deal with my minor injury. However I forgot all about the drive once I was kindly greeted and expertly put back together again. Very many thanks to all the staff

Went there with really bad sciatica. After talking nearly 10 minutes with rude receptionist I went to nurse which advise me to buy cocodamol in local pharmacy and go to Swindon hospital as this hospital deal only with minor injuries. 1. Cocodamol is prescription medicine 2. I couldn’t walk- how should I get to pharmacy, other hospital 3. That’s hospital should be shout down to save money on real hospitals and people will get less confused as when you going to hospital you expect help with all kind of injuries.

My wife and I are Brazilians and we were in Hullavington during the month of September visiting our daughter. We both had minor accidents and injuries. We went to Chippenham Community Hospital and I would like to point out that the care provided by the various health professionals at this hospital (I remember Kath, Donna and Yasmin) was always done with great competence and we felt safe. I can also say that everyone's attitude was very kind. Thank you very much! Alexandre Tempel

Went there for a consultation on my hernia, doctor issued me a perception went all the way to the pharmacy to get told that he hadn’t written my address on there so couldn’t get my medication. Told to go back to get it written on there but he had gone home so no one could do it. Had to wait until the next day to go to my gp and have them issue it for me. Unprofessional.

Good hospital, just watch the parking...it's only free (as advertised on their website) IF you register your number plate on arrival, otherwise you'll be fined and appealing won't help.

Worst hospital I have visited. The doctors should be reported for their unprofessional indifference verging on medical negligence. Will report them further.

Don't use the overflow car park number 3. You will get a parking ticket for parking there saying your vehicle is in a authorised vehicles area only courtesy of CE Ltd

Had to go to minor injuries with a fractured ankle , the care couldn't have been better . One criticism - the man in X-ray wasn't very helpful , perhaps he was having a bad day or was just bored with his job ?

Spent pretty much a whole day yesterday with my granddaughter in A&E trying to get her an xray for her hurt wrist. It was indescribably hot in the waiting room and no vending machines to even get a coffee - water cooler only. It was a very long wait between triage, xray and results but my lovely girl didnt complain at all even when triage was obviously very painful. The one thing we both noticed was how ridiculously hard everyone was working, the nurses., reception staff and everyone we came into contact with. They were very short staffed but every one of them was polite, friendly, efficient and jolly. With all there is to complain about these days its heartwarming to see these overworked and underpaid professionals coping so well. A huge thank you to all at Chippenham Hospital xx

Visited quite a few times over the years and the staff are usually friendly & helpful... Whilst there on a long visit recently we decided to try the restaurant at lunchtime for a hot meal but we wish we hadn't it was dreadful!... can honestly say worst meals we have EVER had.... the food looked and tasted like it was a few days old.? We decided to leave our meals and purchased crisps & bars of chocolate etc and left we felt physically sick by the food and filthy sticky tables etc.. Also the staff were not very pleasant & stood around talking even though they had seen us waiting to be served..so will certainly not be wasting our money in there again!
