Found this place through trip advisor and loved it. Cosy little cafe right on the kennet and Avon canal. Sat in the window watching the barges go by. How lovely. Good breakfast options full English 4 items from a good choice from £5.95, 6 items for £7.95. Good quality ingredients, bacon and sausage were absolutely divine. Staff very helpful and attentive and food arrived quickly and piping hot. Thank you very much to all for looking after us.

This is such a delightful cafe. Down to earth but with a very varied cheap and cheerful menu of good quality meals, in a super location right beside the canal. Quick service, polite staff, and a delicious pint of ale make this a great pit stop whether you are walking along the towpath or driving through the town

Yes we really enjoyed our lunch here. The staff were pretty good with our order & we didn't have to book to get a table (even though we had booked already). Great to sit in the covered garden & they were happy we brought our dogs with us

This is a lovely place right on the canal. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and there were plenty of tables available on our visit. We really enjoyed our food, the children portions were quite large which made the lad happy. Definitely worth a visit on a sunny day.

A nice place to come and watch the world go by, barges come along the river often and by the cafe there are Canadian canoes that can be hired fir6a small fee. When I stopped here I had ice-cream which I highly recommend for the hot summery day's and very tastey too. Lots of seating here.

Wow what a gem! We went in early and it was still quiet when we visited. Lovely lovely lovely atmosphere. Food was not too expensive and still tasty. Cannot wait to go back. Such a beautiful place.

This is a jewel of a find. Fantastically cooked food, great quality ingredients in a quirky original cafe with welcoming staff who know who how to look after their customers. We shared Mac and cheese with the additional option of crispy bacon and onions, and steak ciabatta sandwich. The mac n cheese was the best I have ever tasted and a very generous portion. Lots of sauce, very cheesy and the bacon on the top was tasty and delicious.! The steak sandwich was also the best we have ever had. It was full of beautifully cooked great quality steak and fried onions. Both dishes were under £10, which was amazing value for money made even more impressive by the quality of ingredients. One of the best lunches we have eaten out in a very long time. The quirky, decoration and environment of the café was a bonus, as was the great music being subtly played in the background.

Had a really good breakfast in here, it filled me up for the whole day! Really good breakfast menu and the food was delicious. The chips were especially good. The coffee was not good at all which was surprising as the food was so good. Nice atmosphere as well, really nice how there's so many different areas to choose from.

Love this place so much, food is amazing and the location is the best, sat inside and looked at all the artifacts adorning the walls and have eaten outside several times and watched the canal boats going through the weir. Can't recommend highly enough.

This used to be a wonderful pub with decor that befit its location. It's like a tacky greasy spoon now and the addition of a corrugated plastic roof is a crying shame! You're in one of the best spots but are now surrounded by plastic, plastic, plastic. Your lovely staff serve a great pint (can't comment on food) but the decor is a disaster! We went on a sunny Friday afternoon and it was empty! It's not a relaxing space any more but can be awesome again! Please bring back its charm.

Nice setting next to the canal, excellent breakfasts as well although I’d avoid on the busier days if you want a speedy service. I don’t mind waiting if I’m told in advance but I’ve been in a couple of times and had to wait 45+ mins. Like I said if I’m pre warned I can make an informed decision. All in all I like it here, I’ll just stick to a breakfast on the week days from now on.

Beautiful spot for lunch, lots of choice to suit every taste. Dog friendly. So lovely to sit and watch the boats go by on the canal for a while and forget the rest of the world.

Nothing that special, they had no chocolate icecream for my milkshake. The kitchen was closed at only 16:00 (4pm). The good part was that they had plenty of marshmallows and it is next to a canal, so it is peaceful unless ur 4-12 year old step-cousins, step-brothers, and 2 other kids (6 total) are there 😂.

Waited nearly 45 mins for lunch, it wasn’t busy at all. If we had been told there was such wait we’d have gone else where! The jacket potato was ok the nachos, were just homemade bits of crispy cardboard, well that’s what they tasted like, with a sprinkling of tasteless melted cheese a few blobs of sour cream and a dish of spicy salsa plopped in the middle. Would not recommend, plenty of other places to eat in the area.

Really Lovely Place, Great Location, Very friendly Staff. We would definitely recommend the full English Breakfast, it was very tasty and very filling. Happy with Price too. It is Card Payment only though at the moment.

A lovely place to sit either indoors or outdoors right beside the canal. Lots of variety of food available, especially the breakfast! Great service by staff. The day I was there was very chilly so the warm fire which was lit in the dining room was an added bonus. Very reasonably priced and thoroughly recommended. I will be back!

We ate in the potting shed! A unique venue, quite a bit more than a cafe, not quite a pub but it works really well. We enjoyed great service, great food (the salads are awesome) and great ale too. The menu is quite extensive too with lamb shanks alongside your more traditional burgers and steaks and did I mention how good the salads were?

Beautiful setting on the side of the canal for Breakfast, but also had an evening beer, sat watching the barges go through the lock. Excellent breakfast, good value and served by lovely staff

A good place to stop for a breather as you travel. It's accessible by boat, foot or bike but not car and that seems to relax the place somewhat. The menu is good with some delicious food cooked on the premises. There's plenty of outdoor seating so you can sit out and watch canal life as you eat and drink.Last, but not least, dogs are welcome 🙂.

Very tasty food here in a really delightful area. There’s a lot of space to sit outside and enjoy the canal views, which was lovely in the sun. The portion sizes are huge!! We split the fish and chips and scampi and chips between us, but could have honestly just shared one. Had a lovely Pimms too.

One of the most serene and beautiful place to have breakfast, just by the edge of the river. The breakfast is good. One should have breakfast here if you go to the town.

Food was tasty and location was great on a hot day, watching the barges along the canal. Had to ask for table to be wiped and toilets needed loo paper so had to ask. Staff seemed to be 'youngsters' doing their Saturday job but were hard working, helpful and friendly.

My favourite quirky pub! The food is great and being on the canalside makes this place really special ♥️

Stunning location just at the lock gates in Bradford on Avon, with overhanging willow trees and a good spot to get the sun. Food was quite standard but well done, fish and chips, bacon roll etc. Very down to earth and relaxing, with a nice walk down the towpath afterwards, a real treat if you're in the area.
