She asked questions to help find the right dress for me which made the experience so much easier. Throughout my appointment Alison was amazing and so helpful. I contacted Alison at Townhouse bridal on a bit of a whim really as it's not really in my area and I'm so glad I did! Alison was fantastically helpful and kind. From the initial email to me booking a next day appointment and then attending. I've been to try on a lot of dresses so far and this has been the best one I've been to so far, Alison knows her stuff! We had a good chat before trying dresses so she could get a good idea of my needs and then we picked out a few together. She was professional and very knowledgeable and didn't push for a sale either which I feel is a true representation of a good bridal shop. I had the best experience at Townhouse Bridal. Alison was so friendly and helpful in everything she did. The dresses were absolutely beautiful and I really enjoyed trying on a good number of them at my appointment. Although I didn’t find my dress, I felt that was completely my own decision and there was no pressure from Alison to buy something I wasn’t sure about. I would 100% recommend. Also really appreciate that there isn’t a fee for the appointment itself unlike a lot of other places - weddings are expensive enough so I was very grateful for this!!

Absolutely amazing experience - I've never felt so confident! Alison was brilliant at finding a dress that I'd love and I never imagined that I would feel so beautiful. As it was my first visit to a Bridal shop, I was very nervous and didn't know what to expect. I explained to Alison that I have "problem" areas which I would prefer to cover or minimise and she understood immediately. I went into the appointment wanting to cover my chest and arms but came out with a stunning strapless dress that I honestly didn't want to take off. I had a really lovely experience choosing my dress last weekend. Teamed with my mum and sister, Alison listened to everything I said I did/didn’t want, I tried on a number of dresses (some more out of my comfort zone) but Alison couldn’t have made me feel more relaxed or confident about myself. Alison gave advice around accessories which in the end transformed the dress into my dream dress. I’m so excited to wear it on my big day! I found my wedding dress at Townhouse Bridal thanks to Alison! I visited the Boutique by myself and Alison instantly made me feel comfortable. We discussed what I did and didn't want and Alison completely understood my thought processes. Alison couldn’t have been more wonderful and I am so glad she had a dress that I loved enough to say yes to! After a far from positive appointment at another bridal shop elsewhere in the morning, we came to Alison at Townhouse in the afternoon and she was a breath of fresh air. She has a big selection, the prices are really fair and she has a great eye for what would suit - the dress I bought was one she suggested! She also has a real skill of asking excellent questions which was essential for me as someone who can be a bit indecisive and not someone who can rely on an overwhelming emotional feeling about finding ‘the one’. Alison’s thoughtful questions made me realise I was wearing ‘the one’! Huge thank you to Alison for making me feel amazing and for such a positive experience. I arrived at Townhouse Bridal as a nervous bride to be, self conscious of my figure and worried about the experience. I left Townhouse Bridal the same day with a huge smile on my face, having found the perfect dress for me and having enjoyed the experience immensely. I had a lovely experience at Townhouse bridal. There was a wide variety of dresses to try, at very affordable prices and I was able to find a gorgeous dress that surpassed my expectations. Alison put me at ease immediately, was very knowledgable and helpful. She was really patient with me and was happy for me to try on all the dresses as much as I needed to make sure I was fully comfortable with my decision. Would definitely recommend to others.

I visited Alison at Townhouse Bridal this weekend, when I was visiting my Sister. I booked the appointment a few months back and I wasn't actually sure what to expect and did not expect to find my dream dress. Alison made me feel so comfortable, there were dresses for all shapes and sizes. Alison sat me down and asked a little about me and the wedding which I thought made it really quite personal. It was only us in the shop at the one time, so I really felt as ease. I tried on about 6 dresses that were my size, as it is off the peg and no ordering in and I fell in love with one of the dresses. After brunch and a couple of hours to be sure, I decided I had to have the dress. I called Alison, knowing she was fully booked all day, but as I was leaving to go back up north the day after , I needed to collect the dress that day. Alison arranged everything for me, inbetween her busy day and I collected my dress which was perfectly packaged in a Townhouse Bridal dress bag. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for finding my dream dress. Excellent Service, great pricing and an all round special experience. Thank you Alison!!! I will wear my dress in New York City on my wedding day with a big smile on my face!!

Alison at Townhouse Bridal was great. She made me feel very relaxed, and I felt like she really understood what I was looking for. At this point I had already had several appointments at other boutiques, which left me feeling like the whole boutique experience was not for me. However I left Townhouse Bridal with a renewed sense of enthusiasm. I genuinely feel like Alison wanted to help me find my perfect dress, rather than trying to push a sale.

I really enjoyed my bridal appointment with Alison, and found my dress! Alison was super helpful, listened to my ideas and concerns, and had a great selection of dresses (even for larger sizes). I went in not knowing what suited me, so being able to try on a variety of dresses in different styles was great. Alison even managed to get a seamstress to pop in and advise on alterations. Just a fabulous service and no pressure to buy. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience shopping at Townhouse Bridal. I took only one friend with me and didn't really know what I wanted - Alison was patient and helpful, and provided advice without trying to influence my decisions. I was allowed to take photos, try on hair pieces and veils, and try on the same dress more than once when I got choice paralysis! The shop had a great selection in sizes 10-14 for me, but also other rails for smaller and larger sizes, with variety including lace, tulle, strapless, high neck, v-neck, low back, boho and classic styles. I love that the shop is designed to be budget-friendly with all dresses <£899, with ex-sample planet friendly options. Alison was happy for me to go away and think about my decision before making a purchase, and could also recommend a seamstress if I wanted to make any alterations to a dress I had seen. I had the shop all to myself during my appointment and had a great experience overall.

I had a lovely afternoon at Townhouse Bridal last week. Alison took the time to chat to really understand what I was looking for before we started tying on dresses. I'd already been to several shops beforehand unsuccessfully so didn't hold much hope for finding the dress, but ended up taking home my dress the same day. We were able to try the dresses on with different veils and accessories and there was absolutely no pressure from Alison to buy anything.
