Old dirty run down hotel. I stayed here as part of a Taglit group so no choice in the matter and we were here for our first two nights. They put 3 of us in a room so we had 2 very uncomfortable, pokey mattresses and one sleeper sofa/cot. It was like literally sleeping on springs. The floor was very sandy since the beach is nearby and guests track it in on their feet. The bathroom was very small and with the three of us we ran out of hot water about halfway through so the last person to shower (me) had to do it in cold water. The shelf around the tub was very ample and spacious but the floor of the tub was incredibly slick and I did fall. The balcony had a beautiful view of the ocean but the floor and guard rail was absolutely dirty and gross and next door the view was marred by run down buildings. We took the stairs for shabbat and it was dirty with some trash and dead bugs. The food that they prepared for us was tasteless and inadequate. All of the bread was completely stale and they did not give us enough hot food so that the people who were served last got the smallest portion because there was absolutely nothing left. In addition, what bothered me most, was that the staff was apparently uncomfortable speaking Hebrew and preferred Russian, because once one of them figured out that I was a Russian speaker, he decided to have me direct the entire group on what we should do with our plates and how to clean up after ourselves. ME, an American participant, rather than one of the native Israeli madrichim who were clearly in charge of the group. I really don't recommend staying here if you have the option to go anywhere else. I have honestly stayed in nicer next-to-the-road American motels.

Avoid this hotel if at all possible. It is dirty all around, inside and outside. It is constantly overrun with young adults on Birthright, making it impossible to use the elevator in a timely manner, as well as making it impossible to escape the noise. The rooms are not clean, the views are not great, and the entire hotel just seems very unclean and unwelcoming. The neighbouring hotels in the area probably have more to offer.

Former 4 star hotel that has degenerated over the years. Meager amenities. Breakfast less robust than other hotels. BUT: excellent location. Every room has a porch with ocean view. Nice swimming pool.

From the outside the place can seem a bit run down, but once you step inside it seems better taken care of though. The room was clean and functional but definitely nothing special. We were there for Shabbat and the food was pretty good.

We really appreciated that there was a bathroom of the beach.. There were old, but definitely clean. Thank you very much. Keep up the good work. Ps. And there was toilet paper...

The experience was one of the worst experiences of our lives. We PAID and BOOKED a room ON-SITE for our WEDDING day. Yet after the party the reception REFUSED to let us in because they couldn't find our reservation. On top of that the hotel charged us twice for a room we couldn't stay in! NEVER EVER GO TO THIS HOTEL

Yummy clean gorgeous airy new rooms. Best food ever .warm staff helping you have what you need. They build BigBig windows in the rooms so it's like being on the ocean viewing waves. My nicest vacation ever

My stay was good at the Galil Hotel. It is a standard 2 star / oldish style 3 star hotel that you find somewhere like Brighton beach in NYC. It has a bit of a old Adirondacks / Catskills feel, rooms are basic and clean, plumbing is consistent (a plus in Israel), views are lovely, and the meetings areas much nicer than you might expect from the outside. It isn't fancy, but the pool is lovely and the staff are accommodating to guests in French and Hebrew, though I'm not sure about English - I'm sure they are fine, though. They are a destination for families and birthright groups, so I might not book them for a romantic getaway.

From the outside this place looks very nice. Location is also incredible, basically right next to the beach. Unfortunately though, the rooms have very few outlets and the bathtub was clogged and would not drain. Aside from this, the shower itself was simply an awful experience. Very finniky and cheap. Would not stay here again

Walked into the room and it smelled of mold with paint over it. Shower was broken. Either get a place at the Hilton where you'll be down at the beach or just stay in Tel Aviv and have a much better time.
