Beautiful lake in the park. Many benches along the lake to sit and capture nice photos. There is also boat rentals nearby.

The man-made lake is owned by the Park Lake Company Inc., whose founders are two school buddies, who got their inspiration from the old Yarkon boating company that existed from 1938 to the late 1960’s, and ran an extensive boat rental and river sailing operation that peaked during the 1950’s, owning 160 rowing boats and 18 big River cruise ships. During this period, the Yarkon river has witnessed countless marriage proposals and romantic moments. the history surrounding the Yarkon river is quite expansive, including famous battles and cultural events the we will be more than happy to tell you all about in our guided tour. Unfortunately, the vibrant River boating culture gradually ceased by the 1980’s due to increasing pollution of the River, until the Yarkon river authority was founded in order to solve the environmental damages and stop the polluting activity. Thanks to extensive efforts, the ecological environment was rehabilitated and the river could one again be used by the public. The penetration of the Mediterranean Sea water into the River brought forth the existence of a unique ecological habitat, containing both salt and fresh water fish (such as tilapia) along with mixed vegetation and other kinds of fauna. The first pedal boats were brought from Belgium in 1984, with engine boats being added in 1986. The lake is also home to different kinds of fish, including Tilapia, Silver Arp And Carp.

Visited with children, first time. Waze leads go the parking which is at the beginning of the way. So it is not convenient to walk to the centre of the park cause it takes 30-40 min. The most interesting things are located near the lake. So it is better to park there. In general park is the same as most parks in Israel. You may take a boat or air balloon and have a fun. There is only one cafe and prices are little bit expensive as for hot dog-pizza style.

There are many possibilities for a fun Saturday in the park. You can ride a bike, rent a cart/boat, watch a show, ride the air balloon, take a walk around the lake or have a picnic. The place can be filled with people and still not feel too crowded. On weekends there are also stands with cotton candy, balloons and other goodies for kids.

Cool area to get away from the city. I didn't go to the boat rides although it might be cool especially for kids. Perfect place to relax, read a book, for dogs and kids and to get away from the city.

Quite a big Lake surrounded by many leading trails of the park! And right next to a kiosk with food and drinks for everyone's convinence, I've seen some people fish in there but was quite unsure if there are actually fish but I'd assume there is! But pretty shiny waters surrounded by the parks greenery and platforms for people to walk through and on 🙏🌴 a nice place to just sit and chatter too and quite a bit of space if you wanna bike as well using the downhill path rather than the stairs!

When not being compared to international parks, I think it can be respectively stand on its own as a really diverse park. I just hope they'll deal with the jackals problem that made thwm a much more common sight recently in its eastern/northern region of it.
